I'm on my 2nd RXDI rebuild. I just went through your videos and found an error in my last build which I was able to correct and my ski is running very well now. These videos are good quality visually and don't have annoying background music. I especially appreciate the way you clean your parts. Im kind of a freak about a clean hull. I'd like to gut my 2nd RXDI down the hull and power wash it, but cooler heads have prevailed as I don't want to disturbed 20+ yr old connections :) -- anyway this series is absolutely amazing and has helped me a TON!
You have helped me emencly with my project. I have 2 of them identical to yours and my wife’s got hydrolocked so I rebuilt it. Although it is a 947 Thank you soooooo much
If your oil pump works dont by pass it. If it dont buy a new pump. Otherwise bring a dozen plugs with you. cuz if your not at full throttle your adding to much oil and will be fouling them plugs out constantly
If I get rid of my oil injector line and block it off like you did, and premix my gas…. Do I still need the oil tank for anything? My tank is leaking and want to get rid of it.
Hello, I watched all the video suites which are great! Small question where did you find the manual that indicates the tightening torque of each screw?
Did you pull the engine with the exhaust manifold intact ? I can not find a way to get to the nut which is on the bottom stud. I need to clean the gummed up carbs. Thanks for any help.
I found the manuals. Also did you rebuild the bottom end "just because" or was there a reason. I only had one piston ring go bad which caused zero compression from that pistion. I am only planning on replacing both cyclinders with stock and not boring it out. The walls look good, but I think I should at least hone them. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Hi, I was wondering about the first step, the big black curved tube (sorry i dont know the name) seems to be giving me trouble, how did you remove it? The object on the left side at 1:16
I don't remember exactly but I think I just dis-connected it then pull the engine out and after I pull the engine out I pulled that tube out it was kind of a pain with the engine in place. Maybe you need to loosen the engine mounts and shaft it over to make room.
Hey Man! I’m working on the same ski right now and I’m having a problem. If you’re sitting on the jetski, the front left has a water outlet that has a rubber line running from there to the back of the ski. On my ski it’s not connected to anything and i need to know where it goes! I bought the ski taken apart and I’m putting it back together. The line is just laying in the bottom of the hull near the back of the engine and before the battery box on mine. Any way could you help me!? Please
Hey dude! I'm new at this and just learning as a go. I haven't got to the part you're having trouble with yet. I do know some lines in there a for the bilge pulp to clear water from the hull.
PrOjEcTs Pat please post the video of the finish i would love to see it and what do you recommend to fill in the little dings before i painted I got some x2 spray paint for the steering column or do you recommend something specific
@@ProjectsPat Thanks. What manual did you use? I have the same engine and I am only rebuilding the top half. It has never been bored and the walls look good. Ring broke and chewed up top of piston.
@@ProjectsPat since you bypassed the oil pump, how are you getting oil to your main crank and rod bearings? Every seadoo that I have heard about bypassing the oil pump and running premix, does nothing but thrash their engine within 20-30 hours of the bypass. I have talked to multiple ski mechanics who all say the same thing. Leave the oil pump alone. I have mechanics sware the oil pump is one of the most reliable parts on the ski. They rarely if ever fail.

Thanks for the details.

Hey no problem. Thanks!
I'm surprised the bottom end is still in one piece and the block isn't cracked.
Notorious for Coming apart in the bottom end.😢😢😢😢😢
im glad it was good.

you can remove the tank then
Great vid. Very thoroughly explained!
Thanks!
Why did you decide to get a new crank?
just piece of mind really.
Me encantaría que vivieras en Florida para que chequearas el mío 🤦🏻🤦🏻
Hello,
I watched all the video suites which are great!
Small question where did you find the manual that indicates the tightening torque of each screw?
Thanks!, I found the service manual for free online somewhere. I forget where though.
Brilliant video thanks man, much appreciated
Thanks. I appreciate it

I removed the exhaust and carbs before pulling the engine. I had to bend a wrench to get to one of the exhaust bolts
@@ProjectsPat what size is the bolt?

Nice. Yea I did the bottom to be safe.
Yea if the walls are good id just hone. Mine were trashed

siegel NP. Good luck
Did you just lift the engine out? like pure muscle?
Yes sir
@@ProjectsPat Impressive lol did you do the same putting it back in?
@@HulkPlaysEverything yea I just strattled it
Is Rectifier located in the front compartment?
Yea, under the stator cover
98 gtx n gsx is in the computer
951 carb skis have the rectifier built into the MPEMs.
How did you get the exhaust manifold off?
More importantly the bolt underneath the exhaust
His video is cool, but he skips a lot of very important steps that I wish she didn’t. Oh well guess you can’t ask for everything
i think i used an open end wrench and very small turns.
