  • The 1996 Seadoo GTX engine I rebuilt last year has already blown up again. In this video I'm showing the 787 engine removal step by step.

Thanks for this detailed video. I will be pulling out a blown 02 GTX RFI 787 engine in a few weeks and replacing with another one. This helps thanks

Chris Carter just did a video on pressure testing those seals around the rotary valve shaft.

This a blessing for me. I have 2 of those I'm try to get running. Both will need new/rebuild engines. Thank you for the videos.

Hey mann, got one of these and chasing down a no spark issue.
Think ive narrowed it down to the CDI after testing the ignition coil and the pick up coil (both ohm reading within spec.) Is there any other way yoy can recommend testing the CDI. Overall what caused the issue is the single wire coming out of the electrical box in the back was placed on the positive post on the battery instead of the negative. Thanks in advance

I’ve repaired a couple of the 787 carb engines and rebuild wasn’t the issue. Found blockage in either cooling system (check exhaust pipe with compressed air) or oilers at rotary valve. Rebuilding Raves is mandatory with engine rebuild. Also oil leak could be under oil tank where rubber seal gets loose over time.
