Thank you for compiling these interviews for our delectation! 👍🏻 Christopher, you're missed and the world is a more sad and sorry affair without your indelible presence x Chris (UK).
I know I am not going to live forever and neither are you, but until my furlough here on earth is revoked, I shall elbow aside the established pieties and raise my tumbler 🥃 of Johnnie Walker Black in honor of the brilliant intellect that was/is my hero Christopher Hitchens, his works and wisdom ensures his immortality, and I miss him tremendously. 💐
So I’m listening to this in the dark before bed…. And good grief Rose is annoying. Almost every time Hitch is making a point (at least with the starting segment), this twit interrupts and doesn’t let him finish by pretending as if he knows where he’s going and trying to finish his sentences (he rarely does). I hope he gets better in the latter interviews (I seem to remember he does with others, but that first one is dreadful). Anyway, great job putting this together.
It’s so great to see my two hero’s Hitchens and Rose (not so much anymore after his disgrace). I loved watching Charlie doing his best in wrangling Christopher’s intelligence
Am I the only one who thinks Charlie Rose is a bit annoying? He interupts a lot, sometimes to ask a question, sometimes to clarify something. Nothing wrong with the intent, be he speaks over Hitchens and others.

I'm 3 Minutes Into This Video, And Christopher Has Yet To Complete A Sentence Without Being Either Spoken Over By, Or Being Completely Interrupted By Rose. What An Insufferably Unprofessional Host(!!) 😖.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more damning comment about someone than to say they have an obsessive need to be liked mixed with an unscrupulousness. Poetic description. I’ve also never seen Charlie Rose so disappointed in himself when his own point sputtered out and died on the coffee table. What was Charlie thinking? I wondered if he actually thought Christopher was going to rescue him from his implosion. Sadly, that was pure self castration and ego took him there.
The production of Hitchens' household economy involved the frequent purchase of the object that was the cigarettes that Hitchens smoked; indicating a household consumption form of his.
I was about to write "if Charlie Rose was around today everyone would be complaining incessantly about his interrupting" but then read the top comments. Honestly, get over it, this is what an impassioned conversation sounds like and guarantee your private ones sound no different. I know the autistic internet goblins would love nothing more than for every show to have a talking pillow.
Charlie Rose is the antithesis of Joe Rogan. He ceaselessly interrupts guests who are far more interesting than he is. Rogan is a great listener and lets his guests develop their ideas.
Can you begin to imagine how glorious a 3 hour JRE podcast with Christopher Hitchens would be, the two of them drinking whiskey and discussing every aspect of life no matter how minute, all amidst a cloud of smoke.

Charlie Rose was truly an awful interviewer. The guy just wouldnt shut up
So glad someone said it 😂
Charlie Rose - Master Interrupter
Yeah, Rose needed to shut up and let Christopher Hitchens talk
I never found Charlie Rose to be a particularly good interviewer.
Bill Maher does the same thing. Fox News, and a few others. Larry Kramer. It’s an ego thing.
Charlie never stops interrupting. So annoying.
