Buy whichever truck you know you will enjoy building more, don't worry about what we want. Whichever truck you end up with people will still watch. Stay safe on your trip bud.
Don't worry about getting something clean, I think an old truck with surface rust, chips and dents with tons of horsepower is the best way you can go and if you're keeping it then the bodywork can come, just make sure the frame is ok
You have a 12v in the barn that you could build and swap it to a manual transmission. You obviously have spending money, that would be a fun to watch. In my opinion that would be the better choice, because you have the funds to really build it up. Build the nasty red 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Personally I would do a nv5600 or g56 vs the nv4500 for a manual trans swap, but love the channel and the trucks. Never can go wrong with a cummins, can't wait to see what build you start next. Keep up the good work
I feel your pain man! I had a 01 24V auto and sold that back in June. I was looking for a 2nd Gen 12V Manual everyday on Craigslist. Nobody wants to sell them! I to thought about going back to an auto and maybe a Regular cab, and swap in a 5 speed. I finally, after 5 months got a 97 3500 club cab 5 speed in great shape! If i was you, buy a cheap daily and wait for that perfect truck. Keep saving up and try to find that old man special! Also go around and knock on some doors and ask if they are willing to sell their truck, you might get lucky! Good Luck man! Keep it up love the videos!
12 valve manual for the win. I daily drive a 1996 5 speed and it’s amazing! I know the struggle of finding a manual, but if that’s what you really want don’t change your mind and stick to it. Auto to manual swaps aren’t hard, but they can add some cost to your pickup.
An OBS is awesome. MY FAVORITE IN FACT, but don't settle for anything less than what makes you happy. I only drive manual trans by the way. I've got a 99 7.3 that is about to get a manual swap.
2nd gen 12v are great trucks and make power so easy! Definitely wait for 5 speed if you're on a budget, built autos are expensive! I'm making about 600 still with the stock (ish) turbo on my daily. I'm down by Cincinnati if you want to see what 600 horse feels like I could take you for a ride.
I ended up buying a regular cab 94 12 valve 5sp. Body was rough but it had 132,000 miles. So I bought a same year 1500 regular cab and swapped them for under 5000$. Good luck on your search but that is always an option
I would look for a second gen 12v and until you find it get the gaser until you find what you want. Thats what I would do. But its up to you. I love your videos keep it up bud!
I have a 98 12 valve 5 speed in super good shape rust free and it's been in Montana all its life with 180k and I've had probably 10 kids at school give me offers for it. When it comes down to it though, I love the thing and even though I could sell it for alot I don't want to get rid of it.
Go with the 2ND gen 12v. Don't be in a big hurry to get the perfect truck. I had to wait about 14 years to final get mine. 2001 24v quad cab, long bed, 6 speed manual, 4x4. I wish you good luck and happy thanksgiving.
Id really like to see an obs, but you do you man. You got trucks to drive. I hated driving my parents vehicles too but hold out for the truck you feel is right. There a big investment. You cant settle.
Plenty of Texas trucks for sale my wife manages the hotel can get u a great apt to stop or u can come down here, plenty of trucks for sale, my 99 still has factory undercoating and u can lick the frame
I would hold out and keep watch for a clean regular cab 5 speed 12v and just see what you can find you will find what you want it'll just take time but a older body style Powerstroke would be cool too even though they're expensive I like them both catch you on the next one Malachi have a good Thanksgiving bud
I've got my first gen, and a Chevy Detroit diesel n I've had a 7.3 n loved the power of the 7.3 didn t like the reliability nor expense. my Detroit has been great since I did some motor work n tunning and my first gen besides being old has been great.
Im a ford guy so i would love to see an obs but it seems you dont really want that, but if you want a 5 speed truck then i would wait it out definitely worth wating for the truck you really want thats what i did with my 04 6.0 powerstroke.
I wanted a 12v manual and a guy told me that converting from a automatic to a manual was not a big deal. Trans conversion might make interesting content.
I gotta 97 obs with 7.3 and it has over 400k miles on it use it as my daily driver have roughly 330 hp and 650 lb ft of torque... wouldn't trade it for anything
Tryin2fly09 no 95 is when powerstroke first came out. And correct me if I'm wrong but the one of the differences between the two is the injection system. Not sure if the idi has a turbo stock with it but my buddy says he can put a turbo on his
What are your hp plans with a obs?? Nobody builds them for the fact that even with injectors, fuel system, and putting a bigger turbo on them there is no real hp gain like I think your wanting to do.
Everyday I wait for a new episode , keep it up , can't wait for the future of LOUD "N" PROUD! 👍🏼
Hold out for 5 speed 12v for sure. Worth the wait for sure.
OBS!!! I have a reg cab 97 7.3 and I love it
That's awesome that you get to drive the first gen I love that truck
Bro when I can't sleep I Go Through and look at all your videos!!!!!! Dat the truth amen yee yee
Do a Fummins, find a clean OBS an put a 12v from a donor truck in it, with a 5 or 6speed behind it.
Love the content bro!
I have three important homeworks for tomorrow, but here I am

I'd stick with an extended cab more room inside to carry stuff
12 valve manual for the win. I daily drive a 1996 5 speed and it’s amazing! I know the struggle of finding a manual, but if that’s what you really want don’t change your mind and stick to it. Auto to manual swaps aren’t hard, but they can add some cost to your pickup.
I'd like to see a 7.3 obs build! I got a 7.3 idi that I'm fixing up right now
straight up automatic high horse
OBS, there isn't a good channel for one that I have found. I have a 96 CCLB and absolutely love it.
Get what ever you want
Obs is a good build. Defiantly with a manual
Good luck with your search
Obs Ford F-250 4x4
Try auto tempest it pulls from tons of different sites based on your search
You might be able to find a nice 12v that has no issues mechanically or rust but paint might be the hard part.
OBS I got a 97 7.3 powerstroke and it’s awesome
There's lots of 12v on Craigslist Wisconsin! @LOUD 'N' PROUD
Love your videos man🤙🏼
Great video! I love powerstrokes but i know they are NOT backyard mechanic friendly. Are you still moving?
Sean Rhodes plan to move still yes
I think you should keep your eye out for each one their all good trucks
An OBS is awesome. MY FAVORITE IN FACT, but don't settle for anything less than what makes you happy. I only drive manual trans by the way. I've got a 99 7.3 that is about to get a manual swap.

Find a clean automatic and do an nv5600 swap to it
An obs would be great to watch, im in the process of building one now
2nd gen 12v are great trucks and make power so easy! Definitely wait for 5 speed if you're on a budget, built autos are expensive! I'm making about 600 still with the stock (ish) turbo on my daily. I'm down by Cincinnati if you want to see what 600 horse feels like I could take you for a ride.
Hold out for a 5 speed and do a dirty max instead of a obs !
I ended up buying a regular cab 94 12 valve 5sp. Body was rough but it had 132,000 miles. So I bought a same year 1500 regular cab and swapped them for under 5000$. Good luck on your search but that is always an option

Do a fummins to a obs
Plenty of Texas trucks for sale my wife manages the hotel can get u a great apt to stop or u can come down here, plenty of trucks for sale, my 99 still has factory undercoating and u can lick the frame
Wait and find the right 12v
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
Please get an obs never see builds on one.
I would do the obs 7.3 because we have already seen a dodge with things done to it so do the 7.3
You should look for an OBS 7.3 psd with a ZF5...just food for thought.
I would hold out and keep watch for a clean regular cab 5 speed 12v and just see what you can find you will find what you want it'll just take time but a older body style Powerstroke would be cool too even though they're expensive I like them both catch you on the next one Malachi have a good Thanksgiving bud

Wait for a 5 speed or do the swap on the auto for sure👍
Im a ford guy so i would love to see an obs but it seems you dont really want that, but if you want a 5 speed truck then i would wait it out definitely worth wating for the truck you really want thats what i did with my 04 6.0 powerstroke.
OBS I got a 97 powerstroke and I love it
Go obs 7.3
obs 7.3 all the way
Go for an OBS god damn it!
Reg cab build W a stick swap
I think and obs would be great but I’m a ford so 😂 but the manual 12v sounds cool but obs for final answer. Have a good thanksgiving!
Manual 24 valve
Hold out for the 5 speed 12 v, otherwise go for an obs. No one does obs builds and they are beautiful built up
Sell you mine. 98 12 valve 5 speed 4x4. Runs amazing. Needs a little body love but typical dodge problems.
I wanted a 12v manual and a guy told me that converting from a automatic to a manual was not a big deal. Trans conversion might make interesting content.
wait a little for a 5 speed cummins
There is some in nc couple of them are clean for like 10 to 14 thousand.
Obs 7.3
I'd love to see a obs 7.3 build
Find a 93 dodge with the trusty 12v and the nv4500, mine has 250k and has no sign of wear!
12 valve
Look down south me and my dad have been looking for a while now too I’m from NY Ik the struggle
GET A OBS. I WANT TO GET ONE BUT DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT EM. SEEING YOU BUY AND BUILD ONE WILL HELP ME OUT
old OBS Ford! get some ideas for your OBS on my channel!
Obs 7.3 I'm getting my truck next year and that's what I'm getting
Gotta love the 7.3 I got a 99
They're so tight got me a 95 and love it
I gotta 97 obs with 7.3 and it has over 400k miles on it use it as my daily driver have roughly 330 hp and 650 lb ft of torque... wouldn't trade it for anything

Come to Virginia bro plenty of 12v 5spd around here
please get a 7.3 Ford obs
Go on craigslist that's where I'm looking at for a Cummens12v
I would say go with an obs
Or that regular cab
cummins 5spd, cant go wrong
With 7.3 watch that cam senor. It goes out, the truck will turn off on you while driving down the road. Personally 2gen 12v better than obs.
Stick with 1gen 12v
I know you want a manual (that's the only thing I'm considering) but if your going high hp a built auto would be a lot faster
Get an auto 12 valve clean and do an nv4500 swap on it you'd get even more content and more content means more$$$
Wait for the 5 speed
The notification never sent! Wow RUclips u on a roll bud! #LoudNProudFam
Reg cab long box duramax
What are your hp plans with a obs?? Nobody builds them for the fact that even with injectors, fuel system, and putting a bigger turbo on them there is no real hp gain like I think your wanting to do.
Nobody is doing obs 7.3 build do you should do one!
7.3 obs 5 speed
7.3s are not that hard to work on but if you tape wires you should definitely stay in a cummings
Get the obs and put a cummins in it
Get an obs 7.3 I love mine and I haven't had any issues with it and I have been driving it for a little under two years
