- Like I say in the video, got out today to fly my GEPRC MOZ7, one of the best long range FPV drones out currently. My one complaint with it is for ELRS 2.4GHz users is the antenna is really buried in the frame and I think that causes some issues that users of 900MHz systems with their longer antennas wouldn't experience. My solution as a 2.4 GHz user was to add a diversity ELRS receiver, in my case one from Radiomaster. It made a big difference and I'm really quite happy with the performance I had today.

I can build you some li-ion 21700 6s packs that will last you 10 miles even in the cold. I run 2 6s 21700 li-ion packs in parallel on my 7'' quad with a full size gopro and get 10+ mile flights. my latest RUclips short I posted shows them on my 7".
Very nice! I might hit you up in the near future. I do have a couple li-ion packs already but not the same size for running in parallel.
@@smithe68 you can run different capacity batteries in parallel no problem. They only have to be the same voltage (for example, one 6s 3000mah pack and one 6s 2000mah hooked up in parallel will be fine; all cell voltages will be roughly the same throughout the flight, in both packs).
@@sganzerlag interesting, thanks for this very useful information.
I was gonna ask if you got to fly yet. Beautiful quad and flight. I kinda figured the range and penetration was gong to be awesome with that RX. @ 6:14-6:48. I still haven’t flown that far. Get well Bro. 🤙🏼
A little bit yeah. Penetration is fantastic now, definitely looking forward to putting it out there further. Thanks brother 🙏🏽
Just bought mine 4 days ago, cant wait for it to arrive. Currently learning on a 7 inch i bilot and tuned with betaflight. It is smooth but I can only imagine how smooth compared to the Geprc MOZ7
I think you will really like the MOZ7, it’s pretty freaking great! It flies so nice and smooth and it has tons of power for when you need it.
As long as your GPS rescue is set up well and tested let her rip!! My RSSI Dbm was -85 @ 4 miles out with elrs diversity 2.4ghz using CRSF 915mhz immortal T antenna. Everyone said "you cant do that" but I did and it works great. Flight was awesome Great location. I definitely need to get out there and fly that ridge. Beautiful! 💪🤘
It is and it works well. I’ve gone farther on ELRS but with the tiny antenna barely sticking out signal strength is really not good, I had one micro failsafe less than a mile out at 1W. With the 2nd antenna outside the frame no issues. I think we talked about the longer antenna when we last met, I forgot about that. It’s a cool spot, I fly there multiple times a year. A couple buddies are meeting up at the main parking lot today at 10.
Nice job! I also bought a moz7 elrs version, but Elrs in my Moz7`s performance is not good. Are you satisfied after changing it?
Thank you. I agree the performance of the ELRS is not good stock. I am much happier with how it is now. Another option that seems to work pretty well is just getting the antenna out from its stock location and putting it up front or on an arm.
@@smithe68 Thank you so much! I will try!
I just imagine your always on vacation... 😅
🤣🤣🤣
So Jelly... It looked awesome there, and I hope can get me a 7" Some day to get shots like this one. I hope to get a new ESC to get back up in the air soon. Cheers Brother! Steven Ryan. P.S. I'm dealing with a cold as well. 🤧
Thanks and you will get one at some point, it’s so awesome to fly these bigger quads. Isn’t your ESC on the way? Is it for your 5” that is flipping out? Thanks my friend, get better fast!
Yeah, It should be delivered in the next couple of hours. I tore my 5" apart and waiting for it to get here so I could get it backed together and airborne once more. @@smithe68
@@BlueSkyDigitalStudios I wish you all the luck!
the pass along the cliff is surreal
I love that cliff, it has some great terrain and best part it’s only about 15 minutes from my house.
nice flight

Had to watch it twice. 😊
Thank you very much 🙏
