Nicely explained. However, for the life of me, I can't hear the sonic differences in either example. I think I have good ears, so it must be a character flaw :) ) THANK YOU for using the Logic stock compressor. That is really helpful.
I couldn't tell the a-b difference on either type of compression. Am I just old? I've been recording and mixing since 1969. I think there could be a little more time spent on what these issues are supposed to correct.
George she has produced some of the best video tutorials on youtube.
Sweet and short as well as easy to apply. Thanks!
Great video - easy to understand, Well done!
You explained this so well
Fantastic work.
Hi there young one and welcome to the jungle!! Nice breakdown
Thanks! You gave me an idea for using parallel compression on the vocals in a track I am working on.
Great tutorial, thanks and congrats :-)
Nice Explanation. A suggestion might be when you are adding compression you turn it on and off so we can hear the before and after sound. 😊
How about a video on sidechain compression vs. volume shaping
That's a great idea!
So one can apply parallel compression to all of the tracks in a mix, such as running all tracks to an Aux track containing the compressor?
