One thing I like to do when writing for midi choirs, is to take the melody notes as the top note, but I use triads for a lower harmony. so like your example where you follow the chords, I put the lowest note as the chord name (D, A, Bm, C for example) and then fill in the other two parts of the choir with the 3rd, and 5th, or if there's extensions like 7ths or 9ths, I'll swap those out for the 5th since the 5th is a bit of a cold interval. It's worth a try! Thanks for the video and I learned a few new ways to mess around with my vocal writing :)

How bad is singing 20-ish cents of pitch? When i practice singing, and i do it almost every day, i record myself and i export the audio into pitch correction vst and most of the time I'm between 0 and -40 in pitch, -20 on average. How noticeable is that when someone else is listening?

Please reference the Beatle vocal harmonies in the songs Think for your self and This Boy . Separately they make no sense , yet together they work. . Also the harmonizing duo Fr a nk and Nancy Sinatra in their song Somethin' Stupid. . Nancy seems to be singing a lower harmony to Franks main melody . Again , I'm stymied . Tia .

That’s really good teaching. I play bass guitar. I play fretless bass exclusively and have done for years. The fretless bass really cuts through with that 1k and yes sometimes a bit more punch for good measure, though I do sometimes add a little bit of the lower mid frequency and yet not too much or it can sound a bit muddy. I sometimes add some low end 100Hz that works well with the bass I’m using. It has a piezo aero silk bridge pickup that can produce a very powerful low end when that particular frequency is boosted through it doesn’t need much, and yeah has some beautiful tones. Your video is very good ❤
