My Tesla FSD repeatedly lets me down..

- This is a recap of my 8 months of Tesla ownership.
Pros:
Cheap to run
No maintenance
Fast
Cons:
FSD sucks
Long trips are no fun
Depreciation is brutal
As a city car for short commutes, I’d love to keep it. But as a primary mode of transportation for a family, at least go for the X.
Watch my video to hear why!
Elon just said that the FSD computer hardware wont be able to handle true full self driving.
that electrical failure sucks. yeah the nags can be frustrating! i would recommend doing a camera calibration. if you do end up getting 12.5 during this month that you paid for, it eliminates the nags as long as you look at the road (even with sunglasses).
Yeah evs are great to have when you also own a gas car. ….surprised we haven’t seen more evs with range extenders. My bmw i3 has a 2 cylinder range extender that works great on long trips and is great on gas. 90% or the time I don’t need it but it’s nice when I do
Newer version 12.5.x might end up being more annoying because it seems more sensitive to you paying attention to the road. But at least you don't have to torque the wheel if it sees your eyes. I'd wait for another free trial (12.5.x or 12.6) to come out this year before trying it again. I love FSD but I am willing to put up with its idiosyncrasies to get most of what I want out of it. You still have to adjust to the car, it doesn't adjust to you
Yeah I wouldn't brag about that nanny cam, knowing the laws being passed as we speak. I'll choose my legacy steering wheel jig anyday.
@@ElMistroFeroz which laws do we have to go after?? I thought you’d have to subpoena the car to get any stored video, and I don’t think it stores video unless there is an accident
There is an issue with the vehicle somewhere between the driver seat and the steering wheel.
I’m on the opposite spectrum lol I just bought FSD and I was lucky to get the latest 12.5.1.1. It’s amazing to not touch the wheel. I did take one road trip of 400 miles and I agree it’s not good. So I choose to fly past 300 miles lol
@@PeterparkerSlaps smart move right there 👌
i own the same and i agree FDS is not worth it! could always use more range, all good points.
it doesn’t work. People are paying for something that doesn’t work great
Only in today’s world where people complain while being driven around by their cars. It’s called “FSD Supervised” for a reason. Note the word “supervised.” Come on, dawwwg.
Yeah ridiculous
I don’t really see myself as a complainer, as I generally find the best in things. However, I couldn’t imagine paying the full $8k for this beta mode FSD that is out. Even the driving that it does do, isn’t THAT great. They’re still learning, and that’s fine, but there are so many Tesla fanboys that cover up some of the negatives of the car, so I wanted to throw out this experience for another view point. Either way, thanks for watching!
Hopefully the highway driving improves by the end of August, it's still on the old 11.x code. And it's highway driving (road trips) that make the most sense for FSD subscription usage.
tela model wa
Model Y performance lol
I concur
You repeatedly admitted in this video that you were not paying attention. The car did the right thing by blocking you.
I've owned a Tesla for nearly a year now. Zero "kick off" events the entire time I've owned it.
It's really annoying when you're held to account..
My old gas vehicle doesn't have any control over me what so ever. And I love that 😂😂😂
Yeah, I’m just glad I didn’t pay for the full $8k FSD capabilities. Being kicked off for trying to change the music on the huge screen that’s not super fast on Spotify for a few seconds is super annoying.
Reads the title gets all excited about how Tesla screwing things up, watches the video only to find out all the issues are just simply user error. 🙄💩
So for $8,000 you can buy FSD just so you can check the steering wheel every 30 seconds and not look at your infotainment screen for more then a few seconds without being kicked off. Why not just drive yourself at that point?
@@carsandsuccess2.0 just simply lay the weight of your hand on the wheel is just fine. Soon to completely go away.
So you have to keep a hand on the steering wheel and eyes on the road, doesn’t sound much different then me driving myself lol
@@carsandsuccess2.0 no, just a hand, not both.
Bro lol .. just click the scroll wheel up !
Man I do but that is still annoying every 30-45 seconds 😂
@@carsandsuccess2.0 Do you think if you kept your hands and phone under the steering wheel and wore sun glasses, then it would think you're still paying attention to the road with no visible phone
