As a person with no spidey face shell. I can agree with you miles with how the mask looks wired at times and the lenses get really foggy real fast, but still, I'm still going to not wear a face shell. Because 1. I doesn't really matter. It my choice no elses. 2. I'm broke. Thanks for thr advice Miles. Also can't wait for your next light saber video when it comes out.

For those Spidey cosplayers who wear glasses! It helps if you either get attached lenses on your Spidey suit/mask and use a faceshell under that without magnetic lenses, or if you just tape glasses lenses into the eyeholes of the shell itself!

As a Peter cosplayer who wants to use a face shell, I would only want to buy one but still have multiple suits. So I think I would just buy one PS4 Peter face shell because I feel like those lenses will go with any suit

I use a faceshell but there are some people who don't wanna use it cuz it's hard finding a Spiderman mask with no lenses here in the Philippines. If we order from print costume it's a bit pricey. 20 dollars for a mask with no lenses is expensive.

hi Miles, i really liked your video but i was wondering about those mouth shells, they cover only your mouth and nose so they are like a mix of using and not using a face shell
so I am just using the mouth cover because the full face shell is ABSOLUTELY UNCOMFORTABLE. Its also ridiculously hard to get the mask to stretch/cover the shell. Im hoping to get some tips at Denver fanexpo this weekend.

I just got into spiderman cosplay and i really want to get a face shell i have a cheap kids face shell i modified but its not the best as its a little small around the chin.. i wore my Spiderman suit at a fantasy expo where i held beyblade x Tournaments while using my spiderman and venom colab beys
For my part, I don't necessarily need it because my face is roughly the same shape as Andrew Garfield's.
Afterwards it can prove to be very useful all the same, not essential but useful^^

Yea the first time I knew the actors where wearing something under the mask is in TASM 1 because you can clearly see in some shots that he has his mask on that the face shape still remains and the faceshell is still underneath the mask
i didnt actually know untill i first started making cosplays. i lives my life thinking it was just their face for so long 😂😂

I think I want one! Specially for tasm 2 suit but Idk where to get one for Cheap! Cuz I found $100 shells that look great but they are so expensive.. almost as expensive as the full suit! I want something on budget
hmm. in terms of a budget friendly shell. best bet would be either make your own out of cardboard, buy a 3d file and print it assuming you have or know somone w a printer. or start off with a cheaper vendor. Shells are definitely a pricy aspect but not something to skimp out on if you commit to it. the reason i wait al long before doing a new spider suit is exactly that.. funding

Honestly if i were to make another suit i probably wont use a faceshell or ill get a higher quality one because the last couple of ones have broken
oof yea that’s not good. depending on the vendor, the aikidos quality will vary. maffhewdc shells (the ones i use) have proven to be the strongest ones i’ve had
would a "better" one be more comfortable? I got frustrated with the mask I got from print costumes that I tore off the glued lenses on my old suit, and glued them onto the new mask. I cut bigger holes into that mask and took it close to the edge so it doesn't fog. And I can use the lower "shell" that I think is nicer. It just covers the mouth and nose.
@@356z higher quality shells tend to use stronger filament and more padding on the inside. The last shell that I used which broke on the 3rd use because it was made using a weaker filament, I used a higher quality shell that was made with stronger filament and it worked great. The problem that I had with the first shell wasn't because the shell was "worse" than a average shell, the problem was the filament that was used for the shell it was weaker and caused the shell to break
How doest it cost to print a Faceshell?

depends if you have a printer or not. if you have one, and have materials your good. but also consider materials such as mesh for the lenses, magnets, and the labor to make it

yes, that would be attached lenses. however if you want a shell, i don’t reccomend that myself

Im about to suggest a cardinal sin but, on AliExpress theres a Spider-Man mask with magnetic lenses for like 20 bucks, instead of having to pay 80 bucks for one
ali express is notorious for scams, stealing, crap quality and misinformation. i would HIGHLY advise to not ever get a quality item from there as it’s not only a dice roll, but the site itself is not super reliable or genuine. they’ve used my professional miles pics to sell a crappy miles suit before. Yes you may luck out. but i wouldn’t risk it just to save a little money.

I cosplay TASM 1 spider-man and Miles morales and tbh i think the faceshell or no faceshell depends of which type of Spider-man you're making , which version, your faceshape and so on. With Peter i do need to wear a faceshell for that movie perfect accurate look, but for Miles Morales it actually look worse with a faceshell on because my head is perfectly shaped for Miles.

Honestly it was such an amazing experience, I honestly didn’t expect how much fun it truly would be. I met so many people and I honestly cannot wait until next year.

My biker scout helmet was not 3d printed. as i mentioned, it was a kit from studio creations i built. It is vacuform plastic. Check out studio creations website for the armor and helmet kit info

depends on the vendor. they normally tell you how they take measurements. but it’s most often the forehead measurement

not entirely. my first ever suit was bare bones thrifted. cheap asf with no money. faceshell out of cardboard and i used thrift parts.
