- It's one year since I moved to Shanghai, so it's time to look for a new apartment. In this video I check out 8 apartments in central Shanghai, French Concession.

1200$ is cheap. in seattle anything is pretty much above 2k. paying 2500$ for a 500sqft. also the one that was 20mn walking to station is alright with an electric scooter..... also New York manhattan average rent just just hit $5,588 a month TODAY. Shanghai is cheap
不一定去上海租房或者买房子，现在中国交通这么方便便利，又便宜（车价钱）去其他城市近上海些，又可以去其他城市，生活成本低，但一样是美食天堂，安全，物价稳定等，慢慢找吧，加油，我们永远支持你们哦，

Omg, its so bloody expensive in Shanghai especially due to the size, mate! Day 2 apartment two was brilliant plus modern but mad they increased the price lol I hope my apartment search in Beijing goes smooth.

One can find a medium-sized flat in a tower block in Shanghai for US$300 per month.
Not a good one though.
Moral of the story. Make more money, so you can live better. 😅

Which apartment did you take??
Living in lane house you will have many bugs coming up from the pipes. For good hygene it is reccomended to live in apartment not lower than 10th floor

that's the precise reason i moved to the US from shanghai, apartment is too small and damn expensive, now i live in a massive house in texas, not looking to move back any time soon.
Yes, housing is pretty costly in tier 1 Chinese cities, however as an expat there are other advantages, like the relatively low cost of other living expenses

i live in chengdu and our 5 bedroom apartment on the top floor is 300 usd a month, you be in the wrong chinese cities 😂

@@Harveyinchinahe means housing is super expensive for locals in Shanghai. Expats consider this cheap because they make high wages compared to the average Chinese. House prices are insane in China
actually wages in shanghai isnt low its much higherthan the rest of china, shanghai average is 45k a year while my city is 19k a year but our cost of living is dirt cheap@@dawei666
