i just discovered your channel. I've always wondered what Shanghai apartment interiors looked like. I've been a life long fan of heritage buildings in Shanghai. Thanks for sharing!
@@JohannesLee I am actually at least once a year in town 🙌 In the past to see my friends but most left because of the lock down. I was there from 2010-2013-the good old days where the street vendors were still a thing and THE APARTMENT was my go-to place. That was my Carrie Bradshaw era! Now back in Switzerland…❤️

How much do you need to earn to be able to afford to spend 30k a month on rent (or are there 3 of you splitting the rent)? I remember being an English teacher in Shanghai 10 years ago, I was earning 14k a month, I thought I was rich! (and comparatively, I was!) Times have changed. Rent is so much more expensive now. It's depressing, I couldn't afford to move back to my favourite city.
Hello! Before I had a partner I was mostly with flatmates especially when I was just starting I want to be closer to down town too! I think the beauty of Shanghai is that you get to choose how you live. Definitely can get something bigger and cheaper if it's further away from the city center like jingan or xuhui district.
I lived in one of those in shanghai 1 bedroom for ab $1K ,I loved it but it was a bit cold in winter and mine was really old , these that you showed are so expensive and all renovated
RUclips recommended me your video! love your content and your energy. By the way, are you currently interested in expanding your channel's reach and gaining more views? Let me know if you're interested?
Now, those are the real deal! 🌸😍
They are indeed! Though only for a short period of time
The first building looks like the set of a characters parents house from nothing but 30!!
#5 is perfect!!!!
#7 gives airbnb in a good way
Love how you described it! Spot on haha. Number 5 was the "one" unfortunately the price wasn't right 😂

Hello! It is definitely more interesting and has character than a normal high rise but only if the interior is nice...can be hit and miss sometimes🤭
我个人最喜欢第二个 因为地理位置与风景 我以前住苏州河边 真的很舒服
我很早以前也是的在西苏州路🤭
Can’t wait to see what you decide on!
We will definitely have a guest bed 🤭🤭
Ahhhhh, I miss SH so much😢Thanks for sharing! It‘s like living there again ❤ looking forward to come for holidays in October 🎉

@@beckaelenaceccon327 gosh good old days indeed! That building is unfortunately empty now.
@@JohannesLee yes I know. Same for SH Brewery and so many others…
everything is closing in your city now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!in Shanghgay!!! I use to love that city geee I
yeah some closed unfortuantely, but a lot of cool cafe's and restaurants opened too! :P
The rent to space ratio seems to be quite good compared to what one will get in NYC
Yeah I do watch NYC apartment hunting and apartment tours. It looks so expensive indeed!! Yikes.
Hong Kong is even more expensive too vs Shanghai and much smaller of a space..
hi! what app or website did you use to find these gorgeous apartments? im moving to shanghai for work soon 🥰
Hey I usually got recommendation to an agent. Do you have wechat? I can send their wechat ID. Though you can have a look at smartshanghai.com too!
