I see where you are coming from and both are logical and makes sense
my theory on the storyline tho ..... is basically deja vu
rory is gonna have the baby .... jess is gonna be the new luke
logan is going to be supportive .... but like Christopher he is gonna 'do what's right' by his family and be mostly uninvolved other than with money. He would probably still marry Odette cause of 'reputation'
The Huntzbergers are gonna be the new Haydens (Straub and Francine)
basically full circle but with improvements ..... breaking cycles sort of
Rory is gonna be stricter than lorelai .... like you said
Jess is gonna be around like Luke but probably not gonna wait YEARSS to make a move
Logan is gonna be more involved than chirstopher ..... but they still share a lot of the same Houdini characteristics
Rory isn't gonna tolerate it as much as Lorelai cause she knows the effects of an absent father .... very Anna indeed.
The Huntzburgers are gonna be the new Haydens but more tolerable
Lorelai is gonna be a good grandmother .... not condescending and controlling as Emily
Emily is gonna be the new Gran ..... but more mellow
and omg would Luke make a great grandfather ... lol
I think too much about this show lol.

I don’t think Rory has repeated her mother’s mistake. There’s a world of difference between being unexpectedly pregnant at 32 and being pregnant at 16. Rory is an adult, she has a wealth of life experience and perspective. Plus, she has an incredible support system. She’ll be a great mom.
Rory always had high expectations for herself and I could see her having high expectations for her child. Not everyone is built to be an academic superstar.
It would be interesting to see Rory raise a child who is neurodivergent and/or just not motivated by going to an Ivy League school.

The thing is that Rory is not actually her mother. She has not shown the resilience or mettle Lorelei showed in learning to sew, living in a potting shed, working her way up at the inn from housekeeper. Nor will she have to: I imagine her leaving the baby with her mother and Luke while she goes off on surprise dates with Logan, or moving in with her grandmother if she and her mother argue about how to raise the child. Maybe motherhood would bring that out in her, but that spine was already in Lorelei before she ever got pregnant with Rory.

we also need to remember the time inwhich she'd be raising her child- parenting tactics are obviously very different between the 80s/90s and the 2010s/2020s

First of all, even though the pregnancy was unexpected, Rory was not a teenager. She finished high school and college, so it was not exactly like her mom.
I think Logan would be there for Rory and the baby. I think Logan would be the father he wished he had. Maybe they'd actually get married.
I also think that if somehow it wasn't Logan (while I don't think it was the Wookie because of the time line; it's not impossible.), I think Jess would step in as a father figure.
Somehow, I see Rory settling down and getting married.
I do think she'd be a good mom.
I think the pregnancy will put her back on course.
I can see her becoming a teacher at Chilton and being the supervisor for the paper while freelancing for newspapers and magazines. Oh, and her book will be a hit.

It seems like it’s just me but I loved a year on the life! I thought it was so realistic and helped see Rory without the perfection glasses on. I thought it was a perfect full circle when she revealed she was pregnant at the end. The series made me feel less alone in my humanness like these characters I once revered as perfect really don’t actually have their sh*t together and that’s ok. I liked seeing them struggle and really come into themselves. Not the self the audience wanted to see or expected of them. Idk tho lol because everyone I’ve talked to hated it lol so I think I’m alone in this thought hahaha

@@jessicapat9713 Thanks for ur comment and yea i completely agree w u abt how the show rly humanized the characters! I totally get why u loved it :) Ig I just can’t stand that rory ended up in a similar situation to her mother bc it portrays that she didn’t really grow as a character. It’s realistic, but absolutely heartbreaking lol. After watching 8 long seasons Ig I j grew too attached to the character and having her story end the way it didn’t wasn’t really satisfying to me. Loved to hear ur point of view tho :)

I think Rory as a mom would be more traditional (or at least try to be) especially because she didn’t have that type of relationship with her own mother Lorelei.

  • @lauriecarson6483
    @lauriecarson6483 2 года назад +22

I thik she would be a great mom to her babies. Not all moms are perfect. To anyone who says Rory will be a terrible or horrible mom they are probably that way to their child or dont have kids at all.

  • @devonhines1119
    @devonhines1119 Год назад +1

I think Rory kind of willingly decided and chose to be a mother when she started to write her book. She wanted to write about the experience of single mother hood as truthfully as she could. And also that Jess is her Luke
Logan is the father but can’t be involved like her own Dad
But I think she will do it with both her mother and grandmother present, to break cycles of trauma and address the gaps she got in her own upbringing.

i dont think logan will be like Christopher. he loves her and she loves him. i think logan after finding out would try to figure out something and if he couldn't he would be a great father.

I just wanna start by saying I love your username! we hate james in this household. I think that logan would make a decent father, but there's no way he would leave his fiance for Rory, so while he would 100% help out financially, I don't know how well he could support them emotionally without hurting his family.

An elitist sell-out who had no issues with getting rich off of her mom's story while otherwise depending on their money instead of getting a job in the meantime? That's psycho behavior and I don't see her parenting choices ending well

Better than Lorelai who had no issues being a bad mother and acting like a child in their relationship, forcing her daughter to be the adult, causing her to be parentified. Yeah, Rory will be a much better mom than Lorelai, she'll know what not to do.

  • @msfriendsfan4ever788

Rory won't be like Lorelai as a mom. She can't be. Lorelai was 16 when she got pregnant. SHe was emotionally stunned. Rory is 32 when she gets pregnant. SHe and her kid won't be "best friends" like her and Lorelai were. As for Logan as a dad. He'll be more involved than Christopher was with Rory.
