I remember there is a scene where Rory has the same hair cut as Deans Ex-Wife Lindsay, this symbolizes that she has not gotten over dean and sees Lindsay as her rival. The show villainized Lindsay but really she was the victim.

Honestly I felt that she wanted only good for her and quitting yale was not a good choice because its not easy to go back once you quit. However had she pushed herself a bit more she would at least complete her college. But rory chose the easy way out . And even when she goes to court for her crime she seemed disappointed to get 300 hrs of service. She could quit and leave her house only bcoz she had the option to go to her rich grandparents. But Lorelai's whole life had revolved around rory - sending her to a good school a good college - I mean she literally sold her dignity to get her education completed. But when rory decided to undermine lorelai by leaving Yale and going to her grandparents - I think that's when her downfall began. After the yatch incident I still thought there was hope and could have atleast completed school and then taken a gap year to figure things out. But she literally ran away rather than face it. I felt she was being so thankless at that point. It wasn't as if she was alone - having so many loving caring people to back you up in itself is a privilege. And these people were there for her even when she committed so many mistakes. Idk why the writers ruined her character so much for just one criticism. (I am still on S6 but have read a lot on social media).

Late reply but in defense of Anna 1. Why did Anna keep April out of Luke's life - Because Luke hated kids & she knew that telling Luke about his child could mess up a lot for April. We dont know whether Luke was the same hardowrking responsible guy 12 years ago. If Anna & Luke had married they'd defs get divorced causing more pain to April. 2. Anna was a better mother than Lorelai . Anna gave her daughter enough freedom but also made sure to protect her - April has some reliable friends of her age while Rory inspite of being the town's favorite child didn't really make much friends at Chilton except weirdo Lane. April was more sensible, socially smart & Im sure unlike Rory who had a downfall April would've been far more stable & successful than Rory - because she inherits it from Anna. 3. Anna gives an ultimatum to Luke to either be ALL in or ALL out . Again unlike Lorelai who can't make up her mind about Christopher ,Anna thinks rationally for her child's happiness. 4. Anna has every right to freak out when a strange woman who is supposedly a fiancee to your kid's father (whom you have not been in contact with 12 years) takes her 12 years old kid & friends away for party. I'd be freaked out , any normal person would be. Caring too much about offending others in the name of Political Correctness is stupidity. 5. I know Gilmore Girls fans love quirky characters a lot & sometimes Lorelai & Rory make me wanna punch the screen for their OTT quirkiness , but it's the boring characters like Anna , April, Lindsay who are in fact a breath of fresh air. I'm damn sure in real life people wont tolerate a weirdo like Lorelai, Luke, Rory, Sookie or Lane for long no matter how rich or cute they are.

Jess and Logan messed her up. Logan had her out partying while she was supposed to be finding herself and Jess was shaming her so she jumped back to journalism which she wasn’t a fit for. I think she’s like her dad and her grandma and would’ve been a great society lady. Helping causes,raising money for charities. She would’ve been a great advocate.

I think jess could be autistic with pda profile, and his parents were also undiagnosed and unsupported, mum adhd and dad autistic. He struggled with communication more than people realised, common with pda profile, and we see some sensory issues. He wasn't externally motivated and school was not a safe or accommodating place for his sensory and processing needs so he acted out or simply didn't go, partly as self preservation act. He was self motivated and self taught. When he found environments that supported his autism - dad's house, being with fellow creative with shared interests - he thrived.

Forget for a second how wronged Luke was for being deprived of time with his child for 12 years. What about April? Her mother willingly deprived her of a father presence in her life for essentially NO reason. April deserved better, and her mother comes across as extremely clingy and controlling.

Rory won't be like Lorelai as a mom. She can't be. Lorelai was 16 when she got pregnant. SHe was emotionally stunned. Rory is 32 when she gets pregnant. SHe and her kid won't be "best friends" like her and Lorelai were. As for Logan as a dad. He'll be more involved than Christopher was with Rory.

I think another reason people love Jess is that he was just such a funny and entertaining character. And also that he was one of the few characters on the show that had genuine character growth. Even when he was younger and being a terrible boyfriend, he was arrogant and stubborn in the moment but then he would reconsider his actions and try again. He was always showing signs of growth... until he eventually became too good for Rory. I always felt that Rory should've left Logan in season 6 and got back together with Jess. Instead she kisses him while she's still with Logan. The writers just refused to let Rory grow out of her cheating habits.
