If you are in the UK on a visa (a Youth Mobility Scheme visa, Family visa, ANY UK visa!) you MUST register for a new eVisa that will replace all Biometrics Residence Permits. It's best to complete this process BEFORE your BRP expires in December 2024. I'll walk you through the entire process, start to finish.

Hi i need help please explain me - my question is that i got a brp starting date from 20th September and expiring on 31st December 2024. But i have a visa stay till 1 feb 2026 . What i should do i now, i extended my student visa with my previous brp, so now should i create an evisa with my new brp card or old brp card.

Hello, i just got my graduate visa 2 days ago. I logged into my ukvi account using my previous brp details, in the identity document section has been updated automatically with my new brp number and expiry date is of the old one. Is that a mistake ?

I’m on leave to remain holding my BRP. I received the email from home office to create my e- visa account which I have done following the step by step instructions. @Anabia361 I don't think so.As you need a brp card to complete the application. I don't know about any other alternate ways.

Hi, it’ll take around 4-5 weeks to show your immigration status on the website. give it some time and check back again. I had the same issue but the status is now showing for me.

Only BRP holders who receive an email invitation need to take action at this stage. If you have not yet been contacted about creating an account, you’ll be able to create your account and access your eVisa later in 2024.

Hi, there! I haven't received the email yet but will hold on until later in the year to do this process. Just out of curiosity, when submitting everything, do you see your e-visa straight away? and also is this e-visa what we are going to have to show at the uk border? thanks
Answer to the first question: No, you’ll have to wait for 4-5 weeks to see your immigration status.

Yes hopefully we won’t need our physical cards, it should be online. But if you’re travelling outside UK before 31st December 2024, I think it might to best to still just carry the physical card with you. As there might be some overlap between the online systems and physical cards. Hope it helps! 😊

Your e-visa is for exit and returning to the UK only, flying out to another country you will need your passport and any relevant visa that may be needed by the said country..

Will for oneself it’s straightforward but if you have family with you dependent on you what to do about them how to process their evisa
It’s answered in the video. You can make a UKVI account for some one else. Ie. Your spouse/ child and repeat the process. Hope it makes sense, good luck!

@PhysiotherapyInUK just randomly paranoid people who had their visas renewed and spoke of 2nd hand info received. Anyways, nothing to worry about because bolstered by your video, I have as of 20min ago successfully got my evisa linked and have even seen it online. @rutendop3226 it's not readily visible. When you're asked to validate this chip place your phone on your brp and slowly move it around until your phone beeps or vibrates. At this point stop touching the phone and keep it resting on the brp until the progress bar goes all the way to the end.
