    2. Due to student restrictions i switched my spouse and kids as dependents after a one Year. By the end of my 5 years do they still need to complete one more year as my dependents to apply ILR ? cos i can apply ilr 28 days prior only. Recommend NOT to work remote from abroad during qualifying residence period. Else to cover all bases, you need to make sure the employer letter specifies that they approved the remote work for the dates subject to the 180 day allowance. As you rightly said the days of the leaves and the entry/exit stamps will not match. I was in the same situation where I worked remote for 1 week post the leave period due to an illness in the family. My employer letter only specified the actual sanctioned leave dates and nothing was mentioned about the 1 week remote period in the letter. It looked like a grey area to me. I kept the hospital proof ready in case it was questioned in the ILR decision making but thankfully no questions were asked, ILR was approved. But in my case the mismatch was only for 1 week or 7 days.
