Ian, thank you so much for publishing your videos and sharing knowledge and letting others learn new and better ideas. I wish everyone would do that to make our lives and businesses better, so we don't have to learn through many trials and errors. Keep up the good information and don't work too hard! lol. thanks again, Ron down in Florida.
I need to make a bunch of those entrance reducers with different size holes in them. Thanks Ian that's a better design then trying to figure out the exact size each hive needs.
You're lucky u missed the rain. Here in central MN we got another unwanted 2.1 inches of rain. Most of the corn is untouched by the combines and sugar beet harvest is in bigger trouble. Your nuc's look like a box of bees!! One crop you got in at least.
Ian you made reference to moving them in as your next step. What conditions need to be met for it to be the right time? Thank you for your time I have learned a lot from your hard work.
I have heard people try to argue that the bees only heat the cluster and not the space around them. Then even to go so far as to say certainly not beyond the box they are in so it is fine to leave extra or empty boxes on them. Boy the melting around those hive groups sure says otherwise.
What's all that white stuff on the ground? *shudders* I would not survive a Canadian winter. Y'all are so much more than our kind good neighbors! Great video, inspiring effort.
Here in NC they say to stop feeding sugar water the first freeze. I see your still feeding. Is that because you put them in a winter house out of the freezing temps?

Ian, A few questions please, I am not a farmer, but a hobby beekeeper, so please explain it a bit if you will please: At 9:04 you show some type of seeds. What are they ? and I assume you left them in the field to re-generate at some point, correct? What is the crop/feed? I have no clue! At 9:44 you show wheat. I am not sure if this is what is left from your wheat harvest. Or, is this what is left to germinate from the fall harvest for the winter wheat? p.s. Carrie needs a raise! p.s. p.s. You rock Girl !!!! I wish I could hire people with your work ethic ! Ian, I have learned something from each and every one of your videos, please keep them coming! Thanks!
🚨🇬🇷🚨Good evening Ian. In Greece we do sublimation at 270 degrees Celsius. The results are miraculous, oxalic acid works for 3 days during varroas and in the first sublimations the results are always over 200 varroas. This is how the great researcher and beekeeper Mosxos dionas discovered it. He also worked on the Sublimators and has invented a sublimator which is externally the same as everyone else but the essence is its combustion space ... It also needs your sublimation conversion ..
That is true but are we not risking making the mites resistant to the treatment? By the way complete change of subject have you noticed that at the exact moment the powder turns to a gas the collective ‘colony roar’, I find that fascinating I wonder if they do that for example, when a skunk attacks. By the way for myself and many thousands of other thank you for your sharing of knowledge it is much appreciated.
There is an argument that developing a resistance to a physical means of treatment is harder. But to my purpose of the treatment, this OAV is specifically used to “mop up” all those that get missed or are not controlled by that apivar in the spring. I think it is helping with its prolonged efficacy
Ian, you are really making me nervous by not wearing a vapor mask. Even if you are down wind you still might be inhaling some vapor?? I know you are well aware...but OAV is extremely dangerous when inhaled even in small amounts. 😳🤷♂️
Man , tough year!!! And now we still have the carbon tax. Hope you guys get dried out and can get that crop off! Good job just keep plugging away , not much else we can do.🚜
Betting you all weren't the only ones that didn't get it all in the bin this year with the wild swings in the weather. Never good seeing grain laid down.
Well, watching my hives and inflammation dissolve every day until it all disappeared was definitely appeasing, I went with what I mentioned and after 20 days my urticaria disappeared. I just go'ogled the latest by Shane Zormander and now my skin is as smooth and healthy as it has ever been!
As always, great operation Ian. Carrie is one of the most efficient people I have ever seen. Take care.
ian your peerseverance is a lesson to us all. Hang in there, man. We all appreciate the experience you share. Best... stu

Hang in there. You are doing great work. Thank you for your hard work. We couldn’t live without bees and I can’t live without honey!

Interesting always learn something watching your videos , with all your yards how many hives total do you have .??

What make and model Carrie do you have? I need one! :) I love the "hot swappable" direction for entrances!

Cold and snow
That clears it up. Lol any particular temp that you look for it to sustain?

Love your vids. I see feeder buckets are still on. When do you stop feeding up there?

Scott Burnette
I feed them right up
Is that sugar water or sucrose syrup??
When it rains it pours eh. Gees. Keep up the good work.
Ya here different schedules.....Is 5 treatments every 5 days a good standard....im using 1 teaspoon of OA thank you!
I love that rule ..."if u can get to work...go to work"😄😀😄
Bravo. Beatiful.
Isn’t it too late to fight the Varroa tick?
Amitraz seems to be most effective in the early spring, so perhaps oxalic acid would get the same benefit.

Who do you get your six frame boxes from
Is the grain salvagable?
I would say not the wheat, maybe for animal feed but some of those kernels looked moldy so probably not.
Is it more effective to treat when they break cluster on a warmer day?
You want a loose cluster to treat every one, and not tight enough to hinder the vapor coating everything.
Love my pro-vap110.

High of +4 today in Alberta Friday is +13ish so I enter then forcast is cooler after that. Election was yesterday cheers
Did you say you use 2 grams of Oxalic acid on your single deeps?
I have been doing the same treatments, why are you doing this one ? I know your counts are low, aren’t you over dosing?
John Oliver
What’s an overdose ?? Nobody actually knows

Hi!
What is the function of these buckets on top of the hive?
Sugar syrup feeders.
+1 Nice video
Carrie loves killing mites! Nice pallet design! ;-)
So how long would it take one person to treat 1500 hives?
Using OA, 4-5 days approximately.
What dose of OAV are you vaporizing your nucs with?
He said 2 grams
👏👏👏 estamos juntos, "Mel Prates".
Get a Pro Vape 220 and treat the whole winter shed altogether lol
All that wheat!!!!! Man! Rodent problem in the future
