I’ve been what I call a “quality minimalist” for years. Consuming the best we can afford but not more then we need. GAME CHANGER. The amount of EASE I have going through my day is more precious then any amount of stuff or decor. Mom of 3 here too!
when you were talking to Sissy about her blowout😂 and just overall explaining the whole situation with the fire alarm and firefighters I realized you could've done that with an energy of "I'm so stressed" and "This is a bad day", but you did it SO joyfully and that was inspiring🌸
I am 9 months pregnant, still working (IT'S BEEN HARD)... And I have been re-arranging and decluttering my home. It feels like forever with the progress. I can't count how many times I've balled crying with stress and how many times I have prayed! Jesus has helped me so much, a lot of my prayer time consist of the Holy Spirit telling me where to put things and what to do next. He's so good! Videos you do like this are so helpful, you have no idea!

I feel like I am just sitting in your living room with you, catching up on life. This was such a refreshing video for me. I've never been big into choosing a word for the year, but I really felt the Lord telling me that simplify should be my word and focus for the year, and this was such affirmation of that! Watching you declutter your life and see the fruits of it is such an encouragement.
Milena, you are such an inspiration. It is hard to find influencers who are Christian who are solid and that I can fully get behind. But you are a woman of the word and seem like you are going to such a good church that is feeding and challenging you. I respect you so much. I will say, I will support you no matter what, I am sad that we are going to be seeing less of you interacting with the kids. I was not raised in a very Christian home and I was taught children were the end of your marriage and end of a good life. But I have been brought to tears watching your videos and seeing you raise your kids. Even just watching you cook and their wheels spin as they learn alongside you. It inspired me to have hope when I was so scared as we started our own family. I can only imagine the struggle and tension you are having to pray through right now as you navigate how much you want to show the kids. I am sure there are realities most of us do not even realize. I will still follow you of course but I was wondering if you could recommend other mamas to follow that are of the same mind and values as you? I feel like I learn so much from watching when you would interact with your kids, it moved me to the point of tears several times just watching the beautiful mundane of life unfold. I would love to follow more accounts that are like yours but do not have the same conviction about showing the kids, do you have any suggestions? Please know, I trust if this is convicting you that you are taking this to the Lord and still so support you even if it makes me sad as a consumer. The reality is I am just a consumer! Would love to follow more lights like you though ❤

My favorite The Chosen episode is the 3rd episode in season 1 “Jesus loves the little children” it is so beautiful to me how they show Jesus interacting with a group of children. ❤️

I’m a mom of a 2 year old, wife, full time healthcare worker and it’s 1:45am and I just got in the bed to “wind down” after showering after I just cleaned my whole house…. Whew 😅 … I need this! I got my tea just finished my devotional and I’m watching this to relax and then sleeping before my 9am meeting in about 7 hrs, it’s fine, it’s fine, I’m thirty and thriving lol

Seeing you tear up about Avangeline growing up makes me tear up too. My baby is 3 weeks, he's my 4th and my last and I just don't want this stage to ever end. It's even more bittersweet when you know it's your last time going through this season. 💔
We just decluttered a ton of my son’s toys and I feel 1000% better. Less tantrums, more focus, and interest in helping me with daily tasks during the day! I love the idea of less consuming and more living! ❤
Happy New Year! I rarely comment but you mentioned considering changing the time you put out your tree and its related to an interesting tidbit I learned recently! Apparently, Christmas was celebrated traditionally for the 12 days between Dec 25th and January 6th (hence why we have "the 12 days of Christmas" song). It's not such a common practice now, but maybe putting the tree out a bit later into the Christmas season and then keeping it up until January 6th is a good idea. It is a way to add more intentionality with our Christmas decor and nod to tradition, or at least for me. I'll be doing that next year! 🎄
Milena!!! You are my kindred spirit❤ My favorite episode of the Chosen was when Jesus was healing people all day and came back to camp absolutely exhausted and his mother Mary ran over to him to wash his feet and just take care of her SON. I was in tears.... idk why that hit so hard!

Embroidery is the best hobby cuz it's so easy to pick up and it doesn't have to be perfect! I've never tried knitting or crochet but there is a big learning curve to those and with embroidery, you can do the most simple easy stitches to make cute stuff. You can do it while you listen to music, tv, or even an audio book if you find your mind wandering while you do it. I love it, it feels good to do something relaxing and create something from it.

When my oldest was born (she's now 2.5) I asked for a sewing machine for Christmas because I really wanted soemthing that was for me. I absolutely fell in love. The first time I made soemthing for her to wear was SO GRATIFYING and continues to be so gratifying! Since then I've learned more and more, taken classes, taken up embroidery and am starting my first quilt! I absolutely love it and it is so calming! It truly can be such a meditative and prayerful time if I let it. And having something for myself has been huge. Thankfully my husband is SO supportive and is so proud of me!

I love watching you share your growth with us! Also in a spot of slowly decluttering, tho I’m due in April with baby #4 and feel like I need to get rid of at least half the house to have some peace. I feel so overwhelmed and anxious by the clutter, yet so attached. I need to get it figured out before I have another one with all the baby things out again! I absolutely love The Chosen, my favorite has to be the episode where Jesus heals the paralyzed man. It really gives me so much hope because my little sister was in a car accident 1 1/2 years ago and is now paralyzed and this episode brought me to TEARS! God is SO GOOD!
I’m a mother of 3 as well. It’s crazy to me that we both feel the same about our 3rd. Our babygirl is going to be 1 in February & I’ve soaked up the baby stage so much this time around & I’m still so confused how it’s gone by so fast. Much love ❤️
My favorite episode in The Chosen I believe is the 3rd or 4th episode where he is teaching the children. What a beautiful sight to see. And when the children recited prayers exalting the Father and Jesus started to cry.. ugh it just moved me in a way I can’t explain.

Loved this video! I feel the exact same way. I don’t have any hobbies but my husband does and he loves golfing. When he golfs, I find myself doing more house work when I wish I could focus on a hobby of my own. You inspired me to start a new hobby!
I love the chosen! My favourite episode is in season 2 when Jesus heals the paralyzed man on a sabbath and that way stops Simon who was still a Zealot by then and that way found his way to Jesus… just wow! Had me in tears! ❤
My favorite episode of The Chosen so far has been when Jesus meets with Nicodemus and Nicodemus is just overcome with awe and you can literally feel just how real and powerful and merciful He was and is!
I 100% understand the desire for a hobby and feeling like you don’t do anything that brings you joy outside of taking care of the kids. I have entered the 2 under 2 world as of a month ago and as a SAHM I feel like all I do is mom. Which brings me so much joy but I feel like something is missing. Currently in the process of rediscovering hobbies again. Starting with reading and exercise 🤞🏼
I cried when you talked about Avangeline not being tiny anymore. Our daughter is 19 months old now and I’m still nursing her at bedtime and waking up. But I know she wants to potty train- she’s practically taking it upon herself and my heart is like🤷🏻♀️wait, my heart isn’t ready for potty training AND weaning because she is our last and it makes me so emotional that the blessing of sustaining two children is where my nursing journey stops… realizing each time I pick her up to nurse, is closer to the last time makes me so sad. Thank you God, for revealing Milenas heart and wisdom through her channel to me, is helping me be a better mom.

Smoke alarm usually starts going off when battery needs to be replaced. Old school ones any way.
My grandma once told me "you can't take it with you" that hit hard. Since then I've tried hard to only keep what we need/use. I watched a video from Minimal Mom that pretty much said everything in your home you have to take care of. The less stuff you have the less maintenance you have to have.
Check the batteries of the fire alarm, ours does this when it almost runs out of battery! 😊

This is so encouraging! I’ve been simplifying since last January as well, it takes time! It’s also encouraging to hear that not everyone’s husband is on board right away, because mine isn’t either! I’ve just been decluttering things he doesn’t care about. I will keep praying he sees it the way I am!

I agree on the minimal/peaceful lifestyle, I'm not a mommy but I'm sure it's easier to maintain & clean.
I am finally getting a mommy break and your vlog popped up on my feed, so here I am watching it. 🤩Sometimes, we have to dress fancy even if there is no reason for it. It’s just the way it is. 😍😍 I do it all the time. 🤩 Omgosh… I would cry if the alarm went off while my children are napping. Moms need a moment to regroup and get things done during those naps. 🙈 We had a Shih Tzu that decided to bark and scratch the windows every time our daughter napped. We had to give it away to my parents.
Also, maybe the batteries need to get replaced, so the alarm doesn’t go off. Pretty desk corner too! ❤️
We have been going through the decluttering process as well, and it has been so incredibly freeing and eye opening to me to realize how much time I spent just organizing things. So excited to simplify even more this year to create even more time to simply be. ❤️😊 Wonderful video!

I also have had so many people recommended the chosen but iv also watched mixed reviews about it and the actors and what they stand for and are a part of and have heard that isn’t not good as it not the truth and it isn’t whats in the Bible , and a wolf in disguise so I haven’t watched yet but I’m continuing to do my research about it cause I want to try it out but feel convicted and want to have discernment with what I watch and let into my home so we’ll see what God shows me!

Hey Girl.... I can't believe that's how you handled the fire alarm situation. I would have been so streesed the frustrated then just ugh, then when my husband came home I would just take everything " my day" out on him.... I find myself doing that more. Can you maybe talk about how you handle stressful situations like that? And how not to take it out on your partner for not "helping" when he wasn't there lol. Sorry... needed to vent.

This feels so different. It maybe just feels like a hidde during winter but compared to the decor that used to be in the other house that i watched over the past year which insporlired me a lot towards decoration of the house using items thatbare intentional and pleasent to see, ig feels so different to see you focus on what will make life esier. Its looking more like a typical minimalist house like maybe not as much as joshua Becker's but the whole hosue feels so different like a different stage in your life.

I been doing the same in my home because I literally spend the whole day cleaning up etc. have given away so many toys and things but still feel like I need to do more of it… but my husband gave me an idea, we will be finishing our vacation home in Mexico this year and I will be sending some of the toys over so my kids can have some over there. My husband is a volunteer firefighter for our community and fire alarm calls happen ALL the time, so don’t be embarrassed at all. ❤ You may want to call your security company and have them check your smoke detectors/alarms.

I love Sorting out Toys. My girl has comparatively very Little amount of Toys, but we still accumulate a bunch of nonsense. She loves doing collages, so she collects anything to cut out and glue on to Pages. Literal trash. Every now and again I go around and throw a few fistfuls in the wood burner. Not the trash, She would see It and pull It back out. We have a system in Place, some big envelopes She can put the cutouts in, but there is often overflow.
Just want you to know the Lord had used you to give me confirmation of a message he has been giving me over and over. My husband and I have been going through a tough situation, but the Lord is continually reminding me of Jeremiah 29:11. He is using you! Keep doing what you’re doing💗
