No disrespect to Gael Gadot, but Lynda Carter will Always be my favorite Wonder Woman.
Gal Gadot...

Amen to that
Lynda Carter
AMEN!
The beam was larger than bullets or a beam from a ray/laser gun. Her body was the only thing large enough to block the destructive beam. Talk about an awesome display of her powers back then. Great show. Lynda Carter was amazing in the series!!!👍👍👍👍
I'm also partial to .................. Sharon Carter.

@@billmurray7473 I agree.
You are a nerd.
Everyone gets so worked up arguing whether Linda Carter or Gal Gadot was the definitive on screen wonder woman. Can't we all just agree they were both great?
Roddy McDowall always delivered. A-1 actor right there. Would have loved to see him in the LOTR triogy if he was at this age in any part. Just superb!
McDowall was a great actor!
So much for all the people saying the Lynda Carter version of Wonder Woman is only MCU Captain America level. I love Cap, but he could never absorb the energy of that beam like that. Definitely one of the most powerful displays of Diana's power in the series!💪🏾🤍
Of course, MCU Thor would have found that beam mildly warming.
Well it was the 70s! They could only do so much with special effects
@@joshdisbennett8370 and limited budgets.
Recency bias is a funny thing
Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman was taking inspiration partially from the comics and partially from The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman, so you really can't compare her to Captain America.
…and her hair is still PERFECT!
The most gorgeous woman of the 20th century
No disrespect to Miss Carter, but she is a weapon of mass destruction!!
Like Wow!!
2:46 her bust rises and falls like an empire.
Good catch !
There's a reason why she was Miss World 1972. Stunning.
Linda Carter had a freaking awesome body and such amazingly attractive. Those eyes.
Gal gadot is stunning but lynda carter is way sexier
Just look at her close up at 1:40 to 1:47. Such stunningly beautiful blue eyes. Gorgeous with a fantastic woman inside with a stupendous figure.
Watching this now in February 2022 and knowing the current situation between Ukraine and Russia-- IF ONLY Wonder Woman truly exists then she's be able to stop all that senseless fighting. :(
Pensei o mesmo.....acredite ou não
It's up to us to hold up the ideals of Wonder Woman and stop the corruption in _all_ of the countries that led to the fighting.
I was thinking the exact same thing April 2022 yep and how awesome would it be to have a real justice league who could stop this senseless brutal war led by WW?

It's always good to know that there was once upon a time that you could actually live in this country and just enjoy life and TV shows without a this that and the other thing and miss these times and Lynda Carter is a very beautiful Wonder woman
Carter is so hot even the beam gave up!
Lynda Carter is the one and only wonder woman cannot be another.
There was one before her and there have been two since.

I think Roddy McDowall was also in the fine art of crime episode. Lynda was perfect for the role of Wonder Woman. She has the perfect figure. I liked the costume for seasons two and three better, like here in this video. Her legs looked perfect, gorgeous in suntan pantyhose, beautiful look😘🔥💕.
She's an absolute Goddess 😍😍😍😍
Damn she's amazing!!
I remember when I was a teenager and I saw this episode on TV.
I was very surprised to see the scene where she uses her body to stop the golden ray. It was very exciting for me! I thought it was a very brave thing to endure all that pain to save the world! But for some reason, I could never get that scene out of my mind...
Now, being a man, I understand why. I find it very sensual to see Lynda Carter suffering while the properties of that ray affect her body. Even the idea that she ends up turned into a golden statue is charming to me! I really appreciate this series...
Lynda Carter was one of the first women whose beauty I could appreciate. Truly, she is one of my heroines.
This was a very solid superhero series in the day
You Go Wonder! I'm a gay man and even I marvel at her beauty...She is amazing.
The most beautiful woman ever, I’ve had a crush on her for about 45 years.
Lynda Carter was brilliant as Wonder Woman
Linda Carter is WONDER WOMAN ; BAR NONE !!!!!
I wonder why she didn't use her bracelets to deflect/absorb the laser beam.
I believe using her body was the way to use all her strength to stop the beam.
@@WonderWomanTVHD To be fair, her bracelets are officially made of possibility now. Same as Hawkman's wings.
She is absorbing the energy
Because bracelets only meant to block bullets, not laser beams.

I have to admit, I was thrilled to see the Lynda Carter cameo at the end of WW84!

One of my favourite episodes. I love the way WW raises her eyes in irritation then charges from the room flinging the 2 guards up against the wall 😁
Yhc de gsyajxcndyg?xmun?hen!utcjy!😙😆☺️🤪😃😄❤️🥳😃
Yes! Fools got in her way. It's like she was saying 'don't you watch tv, I'm Wonder Woman!'.
Wonder Woman used the sheer power of her hotness to absorb the death ray that wasn't nearly as powerful 😍🥵
You were the leader of our time Lynda.
You live on embedded into our minds and hearts that women are capable, courageous, kind and fierce.
Love you forever my Goddess 🌈
I miss Roddy McDowall.
Great episode 😊
This is one of the most powerful things I have seen her do in this series, basically tank a weapon of mass destruction like its nothing. Usually she’s struggling just to fight normal people or stop a car. She’s mostly shown to be maybe as strong as MCU Captain America, a fraction of her comic book counterpart.
Back in the day...that was enough for a woman to do even this and still look cute. Enjoy it for the time period it was created. If you notice the progression of women's acting scene's over the years. We went from fainting every bloody second to lately kicking Thanos @zz. Now, that's progressive.
Should have had her cross her bracers in front of her. Probably didn't want to spoil the view....
Diana didn't struggle with humans or stopping cars. It was a matter of control. Diana likes giving humans an opportunity of fairness at first. Does Diana want to use too much force and destroy the vehicle and the people inside. Does she want to injure the people in the vehicle? You can't obtain information from thugs if they can't speak. Not that hard to understand.
@@DELSTAR1 A lot of it was due I'm sure to lack of special effects at the time. Just watch the old Superman movies, they didn't show Superman doing a lot more than that most of the time. I remember it took 2 of the Kryptonian bad guys to pick up a bus and throw it at him and he couldn't stop its momentum, it momentarily knocked him down. In Superman 4 though he did move the Moon so it showed that Reeve's Superman had the ability for amazing strength feats. But those were movies with a big budget, a tv series of the time worked with what they had.
I'm not saying this is what should happen - it isn't - but if HBO MAX had the rights to Wonder Woman, they'd remake this episode specifically so as to have an excuse to show her costume destroyed by the laser so she'd have to destroy the cannon wearing just the bracelets & tiara.
I'm failing the see the downside
But you’d succeed in seeing the backside!
Wow she is just great and my favorite Wonder Woman
She can stand up to a world-ending laser, but needs the bracelets to protect her from bullets?
Not that I didn't love this episode. Though even at ten, I wondered what the mooks at the door thought they were doing when they tried to stop her.
She's always been vulnerable to piercing weapons. That's from the comics.
Kevlar can protect from bullets but a man with an ice pick can still kill a man wearing kevlar. It's the world of physics not rocks paper scissors.
Wow. I feel all tingly after watching that.
I love how wonder-Woman just *SLAPS* the guatda of the labs
I went through puberty in the 80's, thank God for Wonder Woman reruns after school.
Try as they might, NO movie producer will EVER cast an actress in this role that will match Lynda Carter. Never.
How come none of her comic book enemies like Cheetah and Giganta ever appeared on the show?
TV special effects just weren't good enough back then to do Giganta justice, but surely Cheetah could've been worked in.
Man, even by post-Crisis standards, I didn't know she could do that.
She tanked a "Universal" blast to the face in post crisis though lol
I like seeing her use her "Body" and what a "Body".
lynda carter 'wonder woman' legend
When you get in serious trouble at school, and you have to tell your mom, she goes full on mama bear mode and sets the principle straight. Then in the car ride home, you’re in amazement of your mother and in fearful of the grade A1 ass whoopin that’s about to be had.
This is that episode.😂😂
YES! wonder woman saved us all!
Wow! I love her and her justice.
If Wonder Woman was renewed for a 4th season, would it have her fight the Cheetah, her arch-foe in the comics?
that's the shittiest death laser ever considering Neither Wonder Woman or her uniform are indestructable.
Except in the show, they both are. Go peep the season 2 pilot. When the Queen gives Diana her suit, she tells her it is indestructible. Check it out.
@@Stanlos touche, I never saw the pilot all the way through
You'll find videos by Priests here on RUclips where one calls Wonder Woman the most Christ like non Christian character while two others say she is a Christ figure.
Here she is saving the world in the stance of the cross.
Get religion out of your brain
I saw that too
Tough girl
Phrasing!
I wonder why she didn't use her bracelets to deflect the laser beam?
Probably because the beam was too big.
Don't forget Wonder woman has been endowed with many types of powers and she's also a goddess.
WoW !!! That was Awesome ~ ;)
This is exactly what the world needs right now to save Humanity from self-destruction we must call upon Wonder Woman to face all the world leaders today and stop the destruction of the planet let us call on Wonder Woman the save the Earth

Wow wonderwoman i did not know. U save the whole world 😢 if it s not for u we all sre just sshes now😢
Roddy McDowall as the Mad Scientist in this episode.
Roddy McDowall had such an Amazing Career. He appeared in All Five Planet of the Apes films (and the TV Series). He was also on Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Buck Rogers, Fantastic Journey, and of Course he was the Bookworm on Batman.
Roddy McDowel wasn't the only Batman Castmember to appear on Wonder Woman. Frank Gorshin(The Riddler) played a Villainous Toymaker in one episode, and Carolyn Jones(Marsha-Queen of Diamonds) also played the Amazon Queen in the first season.
He was a brilliant actor!
1980 Lynda Carter is hot even by 2022 standards.
The standards haven't changed in 30,000 years. Men like the hourglass woman with a gorgeous face.
No hideous tats or piercings
Roddy McDowell as the mad scientist is brilliant in this episode! And when WW bursts through the concrete wall and jumps in front of the nuclear beam is unforgettable!
My body has often stopped a weapon of mass destruction.
When the men were watching from afar they were saying that her shorts should be shorter lol.
Yes for sure

Roddy McDowall is the best character actor ever
Think he played bookworm in batman
@@raybolasco9457 He played the Devil into episodes of fantasy Island… The original
It would have been sexy if she had gone to destroy the reactor after she destroyed the gun itself. I can just imagine her pounding her fists through several feet of concrete to get at it and then picking up the huge reactor core and crushing it down to the size of a basketball in her strong arms, her immense super strength withstanding the intense heat and pressure being created as the core converts to heavy elements not even on the periodic table from the force of her super bearhug.
Would have been cool. I love the episode where she is trying to shut down the bomb timer, and she goes outside and jump into the air and karate chops the elctric lines to shut it off
Her beautiful marble blue eyes and her gorgeous miss America body.
Sounds like a phaser overload at 2:53.
Her bod is already so hot, how could it withstand the heat of a laser capable of destroying the entire planet? Would she be able to do the same thing, standing in front of the firing gate of the Yamato's wave motion gun?
Mine too because lynda Carter is beautiful because she's so talented I love you lynda Carter wooooo
3:37
3:33 I know its supposed to her breaking thru the wall, but to be honest it looks more like someone pushed her out.
Yes. it does look like she fell/was pushed through the opening.
She almost had Arthur convinced to change course when that darned messenger showed up. It's a good thing she was able to stop the death ray, otherwise the world would have perished for certain.
Gosh Darn Albert with his Awful Timing. 😠

Wonder Woman's true power
In different story she was cut by paperman and stunned by a single punch from Giganta, she was not invulnerable.
@@hydrolito ...this week
Leave it at that
@hydrolito Yes Wonder Woman has her limits, and you can see that in the clip when she starts getting exausted due to the continued exposure to the beam, but regardless of her limits, she's apparently strong/durable enough to stop this powerful weapon (not to mention her other various amazing acts). Wonder Woman is a powerhouse.
❤❤❤
One of the most dramatic scenes in the whole series esp now when we are potentially on the brink of nuclear war. How she got to that beam so fast throwing herself thru the concrete wall and leaping to meet the beam is almost too much to process. Unbelievable supernatural powers on show.
So sexy taking the punishment, wish it was being dished out by a villainess
I bet she was a real dynamo in the sack
The weapon of mass destruction didnt even put a hair out of place?
Wow 😲.😳 Amazing

Lynda Carter was a Christian at the time (she doesn't seem to be anymore), so I wonder what her feelings were on the idea of having her arms outstretched, saving the world.

Have always been a huge fan of Linda Carter and this series! No one can ever replace her. However, as I go back and watch these shows, I can't help but laugh at how cheesey some of the special effects were! She absolutely took a faceplant out of that wall.
Should have been at least 5yrs of shows. Cancel lynda Carter impossible.
“Wonder Woman uses her body..." That's about as far as I got. lol 🤣 💕
The power of super boobs.
Bubbles' dad
Heeeeere kitty kitty kitty come kitty come kitty!
Why didn't she use her bracelets?
I'm thinking she needed to use all the strength in her body, with the bracelets as well. I believe this is the most energy she ever took on in the series.
The beam was too wide to block with just the bracelets.
The bracelets would have DEFLECTED the energy, doing who knows what damage. She had to BLOCK it.
Not big enough. Having forearm-length gauntlets to block bullets and other blasts is the one improvement that Gal Gadot's costume has.
look ma, Wonder Woman knows the Christ Pose!
Can she DO my Birthday Party??

Didn’t even singe her hair..

After watching this episode again, I have a question about this scene. How did Wonder Woman know where in the complex was a wall she could break through to get outside? She looks like she just chooses a random part of the complex to break through the wall. I also agree with some other commenters when it seems like the scene of her bursting through the wall was very poorly done, with the stunt woman looking like she just fell through the wall into a face plant rather than forcibly breaking through feet of solid rock.
Laughed so hard at that part, im pretty sure that was a stuntMAN tho, it also gives the idea that they couldnt do too many takes n just had to run with certain shots as best as they could. Or idk u could look at it as WW being just a lil clumsy n sprung back up after the faceplantXD
Should give her a nice tan.
I see this is most replayed from about 3:35. It does make me think of some possible ridiculous captions for that scene. Most of them would probably get me banned from RUclips. It looks like "Wonder Woman versus the orgasm ray" at 3:55. Can she resist its power?
A better question, can she resist mine? Sorry.
I know she was trying to emote the struggle of withstanding the beam but her facial expressions do come off more as a sex/orgasm face in this scene. Maybe the beam was causing some "earthquakes" inside of her.
Orgasm Ray? Sounds like something out of the Movie Barberella.
@Glenn Szydlowski you're sad
