The version of Kara she's playing, she's very good at. Helen Slater was better in my opinion, and had the movie she was in not been schlock I think Helen Slater would be as remembered in the role as Chris Reeve is as Superman. But to each their own.
This was one of the best crossover on a series that I ever saw. When she took off and her clothes fell on Barry, he said that's the first time that happened.
It's such a bummer that Melissa doesn't get the same widespread adoration for her portrayal that Grant does with Barry. She is so perfect in this role and it'll be hard for me to see anyone else take on the character the way she has. She is wildly underrated, and while I don't think her show is always the best, I could watch Melissa play Supergirl all day.

The CW Arrowverse had amazing casting for all of the major roles. If only they were backed by good writing teams. All of the shows started strong and then started declining by the 3rd season. All of the actors are truly phenomenal and made the role their own.
