I believe the issue with the Dwarves came from Peter Dinklage's comments about little people being type casted into "dwarf" roles. So Disney was like "cool, we'll use regular people and convert it in post" but I guess that looked weird, so they just went with the complete CGI route.
Those photos were not from the Disney production, but they were shared around like they were. For Snow White: They should've gotten someone less attractive to play the Queen, because how is the Queen supposed to be jealous of Snow White in this? For Skeleton Crew: I really dug the Amblin vibes and really hope this project lands.
I never really interpreted it as only beauty that made someone the fairest of them all, idk I always felt like what truly made Snow White the fairest of them all was her kindness as in it didn’t just take into account looks but also inner beauty & I think that’s something the queen didn’t understand. idk that’s just my opinion.

You keep thinking of the volume from the first couple seasons of The Mandalorian. The one in Vancouver they use for everything now is what was used for Percy Jackson, Shogun, and other more recent productions. It's much better in it's surrounding environment creation/depiction than the older version.
The Agatha trailer has me excited. I loved WV so being a kinda sequel is good. Also like the new cast Joe Locke is a treat in Heartstopper and Aubry Plaza is reminding me of her work in Legion (only seen s1&2 tho)
The photo that you saw of Snow White is of the stand in cast when they were doing preliminary location shots. (Productions do them to give the director, camera crew, and cgi animators a visual on set-ups and location shoots. Kind of like a more involved storyboard.) When they leaked, the internet kind of blew up with rumors and false info about it though. People REALLY want to hate this movie, and have been jumping on the smallest things. I think in the earlier stages, they were throwing around the idea of diversifying the Dwarves (which would explain why the stand-in cast is so diverse) but obviously, at some point they decided to just stick with the original design. People will also say that they were supposed to be played by real people, also citing this picture as a source, but I don't really see that as being true. Everything about this film screams that it was designed around CGI. (For Better or For worse). I'm pretty sure this was always going to be mixed live-action/animation. This set design, costume design, and general vibe, are all too hyper fantastical and animated for them to NOT have designed the whole movie that way.

My theory with Agatha based on her saying we'll survive as Witches as we have for hundreds of years, and seeing the Wizard of Oz and other time periods, I think like Wandavision, instead of going through different Television show eras, they are going through different eras of depicted witches, so like, Wizard of Oz, The Craft, Hocus Pocus, like any major pop-cultural landmark for witches, like going down a road of memories to reflect on how they got to where they are. Based on the color theory we're seeing too, I see a Red, an Orange, a Green, a Blue, and a Purple lit shot and they all seem to be different places, I wonder if the Witch's road reflects the 7 Chakras and it's kind of like Avatar The Last Airbender's Guru episode where even those breakthroughs for Aang were lit in the color of each Chakra. I think it goes Road, 1st Chakra, More Road, 2nd Chakra, and so on until she makes it through and gets her truest desire.

I got a feeling this show is setting up the dark hero that Agatha was in the comics and I think Marvel is keeping a secret that Agatha will be a big part of the two next Avengers films with help taking down Doctor Doom. Also, in the comics Agatha was the governess to Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm.
Moana 2 looks like it will be great! Disney is not one that tends to do sequels well, so Moana 2 looking so strong, i'd say it's gonna be an exception to their history. Snow White i'll take CGI over what they originally planned, though they still should have hired Little People.

As someone who adored Moana I’m not feeling the electric boogaloo 😒 The first movie had tension and stakes with Moana’s desire to escape the confines of her island coupled with her need to protect her people, whereas this movie feels like a fetch quest.
