  • This Spectrum salesman came by and tried to sell me on cable internet. I told him im on Gigapower. He proceeded to tell me that I don't really get that speed and cable is faster. This was too good not to share when i realized the whole thing ended up on my Doorbell Camera.
Sadly the Video cut off about a minute of arguing and ended with him telling me he was going to go talk to his "Expert" and prove i didn't know what i was talking about. That in the end his cable internet was going to be faster than Gigabit every time.

This dude is something else. Would have loved to see the rest of this for this man's technical dismantling but this small bit was enough make you wonder why he's not selling magazine subscriptions instead.

How can you be selling internet and not know the difference between download and upload speeds. Sad. I don't even think he understood that gigabit was faster than 100mb :/

The problem with Coax is that you can get 1GB now, but it isn't symmetrical where I live. So, Fiber is the way.

Terrible salesman. Be intelligent about what your selling and what your competitors are selling. 🤦🏼‍♂️

MBPS speeds are nothing besides a advertising tactics to lure free money for companies. I have 25 MBPS & never seen 1080P video buffering while running multiple videos throughout the house. Yes, downloading a movie or updaing a firmware might take little longer, but 35$ a month with unlimited download/uploads. Cant go wrong with that!

I sell door to door for Spectrum right now and this is 110 percent true. Download and Upload speed is a marketing gimmick. No one needs a Gig* of internet. 300 megabits is definitely more than enough.
*There are some exceptions like if you download triple A titles every 2 days or run an online tutoring academy but for most people there is no noticeable difference between cable or fiber internet or how much download speed.

25 mbps may allow you to watch a movie but you have someone else getting on like you’re kid or add a video camera or any other devices to you’re internet and you’re going to have issues.. The problem is we are always evolving and more and more devices are connecting to internet than ever before IE computers, phones, cameras, Alexa devices, lights, photos, door bells, even flipping refrigerators. To future proof a home and have flawless connections one really needs 350-1000mbps. If you are a lone user though and don’t have multiple devices connected or kids 25-50 mbps is fine.
