I want to know how different a Romanced Solas is from a friendly or hostile Solas throughout the game, if that changes his face expressions and voice lines the way it did in Trespasser. THEY MUST MEET AND GET CLOSURE
I have a theory on what happens to Varric, which was part of Lisa's idea and that is that since he's lost Bianca he won't go into battle and why he becomes our adviser rather than a companion. My thought is that if he does only get injured that is why he doesn't go out as a companion anymore. I think we'll find what's left of Bianca the crossbow and that a side quest might be to find the real Bianca to fix Varric's crossbow or to let her know of Varric's demise but maybe that is wishful thinking. I hope he doesn't die, he's been too prominent a character to not see him stay throughout Veilguard and see Rook and his companions solve this new threat to Thedas.
It’d make more sense for varric to die or disappear for a good chunk of the game with what he says to rook before going off to face solas, otherwise that line really isn’t as impactful as it was meant to be with varric telling rook to look after the team.
@@PhantomRaging yes that's is what starts everyone thinking that may happen for sure. The RUclipsr that put together their interpretation of Varric's demise makes sense and the video shows what looks like a body above and to the left of Solas' head just after he deflects the statue falling on him. There are sparkles coming out like Solas' dagger is in them but the body is still moving so could well be Varric.
Damnit I wanted to see Anders Rescue Lady Hawk from the Fade & they both emerge into this story in an epic way! Like towards the very end when you need a 3rd option & a hail marry, to save everyone & redeem all the half teased redemption arcs we've been thirsting for!

(That kind of negativity killed ME Andromeda, what could've became a very good tale, too - if it had given a fair chance.)
Same for me! Still wondering how someone can be that miserably negative as if it was a flex. Also not sure where all the people come from, that through around "this is objectivly bad" phrases while stating very much subjectiv opinions, without even noticing what they do... I'm mostly curious about the game. How will the story play out? What kind of characters are the companions? How will all the new places look like? But I also don't play games for the combat or a challenge, but for the story, vibes and fun (and I think thats where the strength with bioware games always was).
I must have been one of the few people that enjoyed the side quests for power in Inquisition, but then again, I like to do every single quest available anyways.
I want to know how Solavellan ends, that’s what takes up the most space in my mind but I want to get to know the new crew and develop Rook too. So excited!!

To help people out on which faction to choose... here is what the name Rook could mean and symbolize for your protagonist. ●A Rook in nature is a kind of Crow. ° Rooks, like other birds are fascinated with and collect shiny objects, perhaps they could be called to be a Treasure Hunter. ° Where rooks appear in folklore, they are seen as good luck and somehow also bad luck.... Mostly associated with death, or with trickery. This goes along with the Antivan Crows of course but also notably the Mourn Watch. ° The rook's Latin name 'Corvus frugilegus', means 'fruit-gathering raven', coming from their tendency to feed on crops, fruit and other plant material. (Idk why I added this, just a fun fact.) ●Rook also means to Swindle someone. (Seeing the character of the bird above that doesn’t surprise me.) And to me that brings to mind Pirates, and the Lords of Fortune. ● The Chess Piece. The Rook represents a chariot in that it goes straightforward, it also is depicted as a fortress. Both symbolize war and glory. °Also because Tarot cards are a thing in DA: The Chariot card often represents Determination, success, and control. You can apply this last one to all of the factions really, though I feel it goes particularly well with the Grey Wardens and the Veil Jumpers. Example: Rook, human warrior. A very strong but straight forward grey warden who serves his king with all his might but can't bend his principles. Personally, I plan to create three different characters for all three meanings. I hope this helps😅

I am so, so relived to hear about the inquisitors’ story being woven through this game! She can’t wait to see Solas again 🥹! He’s been alone in his pain about the decisions he feels he has to make, for far too long 🥺
I get why they made every romance-able character pan… I just wish they hadn’t. It’s not very realistic, and I honestly preferred the way BioWare did it in Inquisition. Was it disappointing to discover that your character couldn’t romance whoever? Probably. (Any other ladies wishing they could have romanced Dorian? 😅) It just doesn’t make sense that every character in the same group would have the same sexual preferences, you know?
I wish I could be as excited for this game as the people in the comment section. Hopefully they can continue to buff out the issues and that the story is actually good, but after ten years of total dog water coming out of BioWare my doubts and cynicism remain until I can play the game.
With such an in-depth customization system, I really hope that they let us "save" each creation so that we can use them repeatedly on different playthroughs. I know people store a blank save to play over and over with the same character, but we always miss the intro that way :(
Excited if we get to know a bit more about our own backstory. Was worried a bit about being this character in a faction and having no real clue what I've been up to the whole of my life!
Warrior Specs have been revealed. The Reaper is supposed to be the Reaver from previous edition the way it's explained. There's also the slayer focusing on abilities with a lot of CC and Damage, and Champion which is a lot of party support.
I cant wait until we learn more about the combat settings. I’m not very good at combat, and I found the previous way it worked in DA to be perfect for me. So the new version is definitely going to be hard for me m, so I’m curious what these settings are
I'm honestly glad we don't have to use the Keep anymore. Though I wonder, is Inquisition the only game we can "import" the decision from? Or we can choose from Origins and II?? For example I put Alistair as king, so he's not a grey warden. Would that show in Veilguard?
I'm worried about how spongy the trash mobs are compared to how little damage your companions seem to do (at least at first). I feel like a buff to their damage or making them attack more consistently could help fix this.
We're losing a LOT if tactics with this party & skill slot ultra-nerf. (6 abilities per character x 4 is 24 skills, and now 9 total, without being able to change them when you're not at thw 'base'. Seems like a very limiting thing to say the least, especially when the advertise having 50 levels, an a big skill tree....you can have mamy skills but use only 3 :s) I really hope it's going to be fun nontheless, as they did mention it would be 'quite tactical ' on the hardest setting.... we'll see...
I really love Larian’s approach to pronouns and hope this game uses them similarly, I appreciate the option being there and can’t wait to see the cc and make my Rook(s)! I also feel like having Keep as an in-game function is a good idea mostly because I remember picking up inquisition for my Xbox which was never connected to the internet, so I was stuck with the default worldstate for a long time. I can only imagine that there are others who might be in the same position when this game comes out. I will say however I enjoyed preparing my worldstates on Keep and it will be missed. It’s sad that if the site goes down then Inquisition will suffer for it.
I am worried about one thing. They really didn't say much about the decisions from previous games, and if the decision who stayed in the Fade is irrelevant, then logically whi went to Weishaupt also doesn't matter? Even though we are going there too? I have a dreadful feeling the the worldstate will be very vare bones... I want a resolution to HOF mission to end the calling, for example. I don't think I'm getting it...
Thanks for bringing this info. I find that the more I learn about the game the less I know who I will choose to be. I hope we can keep all the characters, I hate to loose people and even more choosing who to loose. It was always hard to leave a person in the fade😢. Thanks again 👋👋❤
After seeing gameplay, I just don’t think this is it. I don’t mind the continuing shift toward pure action gameplay, but the inability to control companions takes away a massive amount of player agency, and only having access to 3 skills out of “the huge amount of skills on the very deep talent boards” is extremely limiting. I love dragon age, but this might be the last we ever see of it.
Yep in all my DAI world state, Loghain is always alive so Alistair and Anora are Kings and Queens. I always give him the best ending of self sacrifice.
It would be nice to get the character creator early. Customizing both Rook and Inquisitor and the choices from past games will take time. I also hope there's the option to change appearance after cc from the start and not added as a dlc later. 🤞
What if the mysterious entity is a Spirit, like how a Spirit of Valor shows up during your Harrowing to give you a staff in the Mage Origin back in DA:O?
I am so excited for this game! Even tho its been a turbulent journey, and we havent had much scrap of information over the years... this all seems very promising now that we have more information. I know people have strong feelings over this game or the new (ish) combat style. Look, ive always played dragon age very button smashy, so this change is welcomed. It feels so much more engaging.
Really happy they added a transmog system in. There was some super cool looking armors in Inquisition but were low in terms of stats. Also I hope we get a fully fleshed out Scout Harding romance aha
i'm desperate to find out what's gone down with the hero of ferelden and alistair during this time jump... part of me is terrified they'll be dead and gone already but i'm still holding out hope hof found that damn cure!!
I really dislike the only 2 companions in your party. This kind of limits who I can bring with me. Since, I find that you need at least 1 of each class(rogue, warrior, & mage) in your party. Since, you are one of those classes then you will need your 2 companions to be 1 of the other 2 classes. So, warrior player, rogue companion, and mage companion as an example. Especially, if there are going to be environmental ways to traverse the area like in Inquisition such as warriors knocking down walls or rogues being able to lockpick locked doors. Also, I love getting all the loot and I will be sad if I miss loot if I didn't have a rogue in my party to lockpick a locked chest or a mage to restore a broken bridge to a nearby chest. Plus, less companions in your party limits banter. It was fun to hear all 3 of my companions talk to each other since maybe 1 of them just got done talking with 1 companion and will then start talking with my 3rd companion. Some of my favorite moments in all the previous games was listening to my companions bicker, argue, have friendly chats, flirt with one another, etc. My favorite combo of each companions are: Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana since they have some amazing chats in Origins. Leliana trying to befriend Morrigan and failing is funny. "The SHOES". Plus, Alistair and Morrigan bickering was always funny. Varric, Aveline, and Isabella for DA2 since they has so much fun riling up Aveline. I also like Varric, Isabella, and Merrill since they look out for her and help her. Solas and Sera for the most part in Inquisition. Him trying to be friendly or helpful and her just being like nope and mocking him is funny. Solas and Dorian/Vivienne since they question him more as fellow mages. Heck, there is a funny dialogue if you have all 3 mages on your team where Vivenne and Dorian roast Solas for his outfit saying he looks like "an unwashed apostate hobo". The IronBull and Dorian have good banter and then later some flirting. "I would conquer you" he said to Dorian. Plus, them speaking about the war between their people is very interesting. Finally, Varric and Cassandra have wonderful dialogue where he riles her up. Reminds me of him with Aveline. Add Sera into the mix and you have chaos. One of the best companion groups in Inquisition is what I call the funnies which are Sera, The IronBull, and Dorian. wonderful chaos. The IronBull to Sera, "I would pick you up and throw you" "Think of the mayhem Sera. MAYHEM".
im not a discorder. No one asked if DragonAge:Absolution will tie in? I loved the show and am curious if any of the characters will show up. It would've been cool to see Qwydion as our Qunari companion.
I’m so ready to play this game. …So now I’m also looking forward to seeing Solas with hair because I just can’t picture it. Do female elves go bald at the millennium mark too? Is there no magic Hims or Keeps? I have questions now.
I'm so glad I can customize a character more than inquisition (it seems). I hope there are different body options to make a more personal character that looks like me for immersion. the they/them pronouns are so exciting!
since its a baby i bet it god somewhere hidden or frozen as an egg. but i am curious too. would love to see it grow through the game (love griffins!) but i kinda doubt it
The novel Dragon Age: The Last Flight, which came out about a decade ago, touches on this topic! How they went extinct in the first place, and how they might've become unextinct. You could read the book or perhaps just read the summary on the fandom wiki if you want!
I'm curious if 'Full body customization' refers to physical things like height and weight; OR if it means we can have prosthetics like Neve. Will definitely be building a one-legged pirate captain, or a badass warrior with only one-arm. My assumption is that Tevinter magic will have a lore-friendly reason for prosthetics to function like other limbs.
I wonder if the mysterious entity concerned with enchanting runes and such is a titan keeper from kal sharok acting on behalf of a titan very concerned with dwarven surfacers. If we do have flashbacks of hairy solas he should have a really long golden mullet with jet black thin highlights...
This game holds so much hope for the series as a whole. I've spent literal years of my life on this series and this seems like a culmination of my greatest hopes. It's hype that we get to do away with Dragon Age Keep (I wasn't a fan) and more customization options would be nice
Iy would have been nice for Rook to have a specific summon for each class. Crow Rook could call a flock of birds. Warden Rook could call a war dog. Lord of fortune could call a pirate gang etc. I played a Ranger in origins and really liked that option. Hawke could even whistle for the dog in DA2. But oh well, at least I got separate hair & horn options for my Qunari.
Ah yes, "Reapers". The supposed group of fighters allegedly waiting in Veilguard. We have dismissed that claim.

We're losing a LOT if tactics with this party & skill slot ultra-nerf. (6 abilities per character x 4 is 24 skills, and now 9 total, without being able to change them when you're not at thw 'base'. Seems like a very limiting thing to say the least, especially when the advertise having 50 levels, an a big skill tree....you can have mamy skills but use only 3 :s)
I really hope it's going to be fun nontheless, as they did mention it would be 'quite tactical ' on the hardest setting.... we'll see...
Dragon age keep would always glitch out for me I’m excited to have that feature in game
Will you make a video on the game informer cover?
Oh yes!
"Stroud, alistair, hawke" bruh I axed hawke to keep loghain alive and the devs couldn't even remember he existed qq
You can change what your character looks like during game play, except for race and background.
@@Blueberryyymuffin Have they confirmed this? if so that's nice! In Inquisition they added it later..
I feel like the entity is the being at the Black Emporium
i'm desperate to find out what's gone down with the hero of ferelden and alistair during this time jump... part of me is terrified they'll be dead and gone already but i'm still holding out hope hof found that damn cure!!
My favorite combo of each companions are:
Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana since they have some amazing chats in Origins.
MAYHEM".
nice! now i can make sure the character looks nothing like me!
im not a discorder.
Keeps being compared to dragons dogma 2 character creator, but the fact veilguard version has an actual bulge slider makes it already better 👀
I hope we will br able to make super fat characters so I can immerse myself too
I just want to be able to create actuall qunari instead of a tall grey tieflings with no tails.

I thought griffins were extinct according to Solas in the last game. Gonna have to explain how one is alive now.
since its a baby i bet it god somewhere hidden or frozen as an egg. but i am curious too. would love to see it grow through the game (love griffins!) but i kinda doubt it
The novel Dragon Age: The Last Flight, which came out about a decade ago, touches on this topic! How they went extinct in the first place, and how they might've become unextinct. You could read the book or perhaps just read the summary on the fandom wiki if you want!
I am so ready to play a Warden Mage, romancing everything and everyone
I'm curious if 'Full body customization' refers to physical things like height and weight; OR if it means we can have prosthetics like Neve. Will definitely be building a one-legged pirate captain, or a badass warrior with only one-arm. My assumption is that Tevinter magic will have a lore-friendly reason for prosthetics to function like other limbs.
I'll find the only having 2 companions difficult. Like to have 1 of each class as well as what I'm playing as 😢
Finally - Rook the apache helicopter
I wonder if the mysterious entity concerned with enchanting runes and such is a titan keeper from kal sharok acting on behalf of a titan very concerned with dwarven surfacers. If we do have flashbacks of hairy solas he should have a really long golden mullet with jet black thin highlights...
I think i will going Shadow Dragons right my alley. same Veil jumpers
This game holds so much hope for the series as a whole. I've spent literal years of my life on this series and this seems like a culmination of my greatest hopes.
It's hype that we get to do away with Dragon Age Keep (I wasn't a fan) and more customization options would be nice
Gonna start my 1st playthrough as an elf from either mournwatch or lords of fortune.
From what we've heard about the character customization, it reminds me of the character customization from SWTOR.
I can’t wait for the game to drop. I’m already planning to take a few days off to binge it lol
Can't wait forever release date for pre-order
The amount that I need to see the character creator... Bioware, please! My family is starving!
I can't believe people see the ten years time gap and still think there's a chance the person in the fade didn't die right there.
