    dont get mad but you don't have to clutch everytime you brake,if rolling,and you can downshift coming up to a stop especially when loaded. Running smooth nice!

    I've got a t18 in my 92 f150, I've never had a 4x4 before and need help lol! My first gear grinds but I can start in 2nd then go into 1st! And I have to shift into 2nd before going into reverse as well, is this normal or do I need a rebuild? Thanks!

    • @willfrancone3908
      @willfrancone3908  4 года назад +5

      That is very weird, 2nd, 3rd, 4th are synchronized, while 1st are reverse are not. You normally have to be completely stopped to go into 1st and reverse.
      Search that on google and maybe there could be some forums that could help. These trans are cheap so you could get one at a junkyard if you needed too.

    • @hickboy7494
      @hickboy7494 3 года назад +1

      1st and reverse are non synchronized so it’s hard on them to align to go straight to it- it’s all normal. I thought the same thing but after reading on forums I learned that
