When these guys, (Roy Clark, Glen Campbell. Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, Buck Trent & many other Country artists) got together, you can see how much fun they had. No egos & huge smiles on their faces. Loved watching "Hee Haw". Will never see anything like this today! I will even watch reruns of the show if on the tv.🎉❤
Fantastic! I always used to love when they played together. Unfortunately, both men have passed on, now. Glen battled Alzheimer's Disease for quite some time, before he passed away on August 8, 2017, at age 85. Roy passed away a little over a year later, on November 15, 2018, also at age 85! They were two of my very, very favorite musicians. They are missed. I was born on November 29, 1949. This song was written in 1948, by Stan Jones. I've heard a TON of different people playing and singing it, over the years. Two of my favorites are Marty Robbins, and much more recently, Colm R. McGuinness (my VERY favorite of all the versions I've heard, and that's a ton of them), including: The Highwaymen (Willie Nelson; Johnny Cash; Waylon Jennings; Kris Kristofferson); Geoff Castellucci; Frankie Laine; plus many others in these later years. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Corey, for this great reaction. 😀
Glad you enjoyed it Linda! Such an amazing performance and the talent they displayed is just unreal! So sad they are no longer with us but glad they left a part of themselves behind with all this amazing music! Have a great day! 😄
two great guitarist, Glen Cambell was a member of the Wrecking Crew, a group of studio Musicians that played on all the hit back in the 60s and early 70s, and the members of Toto carried on that tradition after late 70s until they formed in the early 80s.
If Roy Clark, Glen Campbell(Also Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed) were rock guitarists...they'd be in the top ten of everyone's "greatest" lists. As country musicians, they were mostly ignored.
Glen and Roy have a great deal of love and respect for each other. They have even played the same guitar simultaneously: ruclips.net/video/hS0zNAbBxng/видео.htmlsi=pJMJMKKjXAcnnuTX

For all the fun people made of the "Hee Haw" tv show, week after week they always had amazing musicians and singers.
Absolutely!
....and some pretty good comedy too.😁😁
Glen Campbell playing "William Tell Overture" with an orchestra is awesome!!
Awesome! Appreciate the suggestion! Definitely have to check that out!
@@setonhillstudios There is also a video where he does it with an acoustic and an orchestra

It’s awesome!
And barefoot Jerry (Gould) from Oklahoma
It's like an 18 string guitar when they're playing the melody together.
Exactly, so cool!
Roy Clark and Glen Campbell: Best and Best.
No doubt! Just BEASTS! 💯
There is a video of both them playing one guitar at the same time. Another great guitarist to throw in this mix, Jerry Reed. Great reaction

Hee Haw introduced America to so many treasures!❤️💃🌹
We never missed Hee Haw growing up.
Roy would never play William Tell Overture and Glen would never play Malaguena out of respect for each other
Yay! Aren’t they amazing?? Thank you for reacting to this awesome performance.
Yes they are! Incredible apart and even better together!
Roy and Glen play Wildwood Flower on the same guitar at the same time.
I bet that’s EPIC! Thanks so much!

Appreciate the info! They are both incredible for sure!
And they were just having fun. Both of them.

Sad 😔 They are absolutely unreal players and the more I listen, the more they blow my mind!

Oh wow, that is crazy 🤣
Subscribed.
Appreciate it! ❤️
I can hear it, try hearing aids 🤣
🤣😂🤣
Wish you would let us hear the music...less commentary please!
We will never be that channel. So many other channels do that and there is always the original. Hope you find something you like ✌🏻
I've heard several reactors say they can't hear Glenn's guitar in this video.
I can hear it fine so I don't understand it.
Glenn started out as a session musician for the Wrecking Crew.
Santa
Plus Glen filled in for Brian Wilson on several Beach Boys tour.
The Wrecking Crew played on nearly all Beach Boys recordings. That's why they sounded so different in concert.
You need to see Glenn Campbell playing classic gas and William Tell Overture. Awesome. New here like your channel.
Thousands of notes and not a wrong one. Nowhere to hide behind effects except for some reverb. No need.
