The first time I entered the fish packing plant, there were these two synths coming at me. One of them was missing its head, and the other had no arms. What a bunch of creepy goofballs.
Two years later, almost beaten the game twice now. I’d imagine those two must’ve triggered an explosive trap down there which made them lose their limbs, but since then I have never seen another synth without it’s head. I feel like they’re supposed to lose their heads when crippled like when you shoot off their arms and legs, but maybe it’s bugged so that it only happens under rare circumstances. Edit: I don't know how, but while playing I saw a Feral Ghoul who was also missing its head. Just... the top half of the head just mutilated and missing. Pretty sure it's a bug.
Flare kytal *Agreed!* They were so creepy when I encountered them with Danse on my first ever play through of the game; but that’s also why I love them so much. The ones on the surface are like big rotting puppets with glowing eyes.

Touching on Glory’s beliefs, I like to believe that G1 and G2 synths are just as much as “people” as the Androids in Detroit Become Human, where they do have the capability of independent thinking and feeling, but they just need the boundaries preventing that that have been placed on them by their creators to be broken. But then comes in the question of wether it’s even moral to externally lift those mental restrictions (much like what happened to Curie when she went from a Miss Nanny to a G3) because that higher level of thinking would just lead to more human suffering, and that would just be doing exactly what the Institute did when they created G3’s. It’s a tough one, but I get where Glory’s coming from! It’s also fascinating that humans in the fo universe tend to treat robots like Mr Handies or even Assaultrons with more human decency than they do with G1s and G2s? Despite the fact that G1s and G2’s are much more advanced pieces of technology…I never got that. I suppose it’s because they’re not too decent themselves. As for G3s, Im pretty sure nearly everyone that played this game misunderstood what they are and the mtg cards “Synth Infiltrator” make that fact so clear. People seem to think G3s are just as mechanical on the inside as G2’s, just with a more human-accurate outer casing. Like a flesh suit. Even though it’s explicitly stated multiple times and even shown on screen in the game that G3 Synths are fully biological. They are a near carbon copy of humans, the only discernible difference being a mind control chip implanted into their brains. So I don’t know why there was ever any debate on wether or not G3 synths are people or not. I don’t know why players think they’ve been “programmed” or have metal parts in them. Maybe the game just didn’t showcase this enough, even though they definitely did. Anyways, my point is, G3 synths are irrefutably people, deserving of rights, and Glory has a fascinating perspective. I don’t understand why anyone would ever disagree with the former, but I guess people never really cared that much to…listen to what tons of characters say. Or to look past the Westworld reference and pay attention to the beating heart. Lol.
Yas The game itself chooses from many of these short individual dialogue files and can combine or pair them as necessary. Speech systems in video games have been used for quite some time to add a large degree of varied responses that in theory would cover anything the player does in-game.

Unlike the Post Episode 2 Jar Jar Droids from Star Wars, the Synths Voices don't ruin the Synths. They ruin a perfectly fine voice.
