This one sounds a lot more like the Fallout 3 version, the NV version of the sentry bot sounded kinda... less robotic. I hated the gutsy voice in NV though.
I never understood why these were so nerfed in NV. Realistically these should be one of the scariest enemies in the game, given that they're basically mini tanks armed with a minigun/gatling laser, a rocket launcher, and cladded in armor plating, designed specifically for heavy combat
I don't know why you signalled out NV in particular, they weren't much of a threat in 3 either. Fallout 4 was the first time they've actually been as dangerous as they're described in the lore

I just watched the video on new vegas one, I gotta say, that is the type of voice that I love so I have a bias towards that one (Wall-E's Auto and the Cyclops from subnautica), I like the flatter ones more than the ones that vary in tone throughout. The looks from Fo4 are the preferred though.

I find it pretty cool that Bethesda used a vocoder when making the voice for the robot. I also think they used a comb filter or resonator as well.

This one sounds a lot more like the Fallout 3 version, the NV version of the sentry bot sounded kinda... less robotic. I hated the gutsy voice in NV though.
I hate both the Gutsy and Handy voices in New Vegas. Its not intimidating/funny for the Gutsy, and for the Handys its not soothing or amusing.
That's because in new Vegas, mr gutsy has the generic male npc voice with a robotic filter...
I never understood why these were so nerfed in NV. Realistically these should be one of the scariest enemies in the game, given that they're basically mini tanks armed with a minigun/gatling laser, a rocket launcher, and cladded in armor plating, designed specifically for heavy combat
I don't know why you signalled out NV in particular, they weren't much of a threat in 3 either. Fallout 4 was the first time they've actually been as dangerous as they're described in the lore

I just watched the video on new vegas one, I gotta say, that is the type of voice that I love so I have a bias towards that one (Wall-E's Auto and the Cyclops from subnautica), I like the flatter ones more than the ones that vary in tone throughout. The looks from Fo4 are the preferred though.

Lol, I have a camera and speaker built into my doorbell and whenever I get a solicitor I just play one of the lines for when you violate a security perimeter and watch them freak out.
I’ve also played the “BE ADVISED. YOU ARE BEING WATCHED.” as well as the “STAY OFF THE GRASS.” lines as well, just because I wanted to see what happened.
