  • I've always been always admiring this gouache medium. I also bought myself 2 years back a set of arteza gouache but I returned it because I was not so fond of lettering with them but I loved painting with gouache. Over since I've been regretting to have returned such beautiful set of paints. Now that I can make myself my favourite shades of homemade gouache. I can't begin to tell you about the endless color palettes I've already thought of to make with this recipe. I had so much fun experimenting with this gouache recipe. I already tried making it with a couple of different pigments. I hope you guys also enjoy making your own gouache at home as much as I did.

    Beautiful!
    I would recommend using Glass Mullers from the beginning instead of Palette knifes as I believe would be easier.

      That’s a really good idea 🥰. When I use muller directly, I tend to get pigments all over my face, hence the palette knives 😂

      @@lynnefibreartagreed, I bought some masks just for crafting because without them I WILL sneeze and blow my beautiful mica powders everywhere 😢

    How does the gouache dry in the pans with this recipe?

    • @crafterine
      @crafterine  27 дней назад

      I noticed that they didn’t dry but rather are jelly like, similar to Himi gouache

    So interesting! Does this gouache recipe reactivate with water after dried, like watercolor? Or does it behave much like the acrylic gouache paints that stay fixed?

    • @crafterine
      @crafterine  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you ! And yes … it reactivates with water. Acrylic gouache is interesting but maybe someday I’ll figure out the recipe to make it too

    • @pmnirmal6052

      Acrylic Gouache is different from the regular gouache! While regular gouache has gum arabic as binder (which get reactivated when you add water), in acrylic gouache, the binder is acrylic polymer which when dries converts itself into a thin plastic like film which cannot be dissolved again with water.

    Is clove oil important can't we use any other oil then clove oil

    • @crafterine
      @crafterine  7 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely! I believe you can try essential oils with antibacterial properties. Clove oil worked for me well so I can recommend it.

    Commercial honey is not real honey. That was sooo pale and runny

    • @crafterine
      @crafterine  7 месяцев назад +4

      I can understand. Raw honey 🍯 would be a little hard to source. However, I use Acacian (Akazien) honey for making all my paints on this channel. This variant of honey does look pale 😊
