Strengthening the bonds between people and plants for a healthier world.
I've worked in factories before but nothing like yours ! How wonderful to be surrounded by all them beautiful herbs and flowers all day! 😍😍❤️❤️
It really is a special day when we get in a large shipment of fresh herbs 🥰
I have often wondered what it looks like behind the scenes there! Thank you for taking the time to do this for us! Awesome to learn about what you are doing and see it all in action!
Thank you so much! We thought it would be fun to show customers a more behind the scenes look at our extract facility! We are about to put out a similar video on our tea blending facility so stay tuned :) - Gracie
@@mountainroseherbs We'll look forward to seeing your next video! And please thank everyone working there? I LOVE everything I receive from Mountain Rose Herbs!
August 10,2023, the you tube video was great so much that I will be ordering some of your stuff. Thanks.
So glad it resonated with you William!
This was great! I've loved your products for years! Much love💕
Thank you so much! We put so much time and care into our products :) Thanks for supporting us!
May I ask what type of buckets are the plastic buckets you use during the extraction process. I would like to switch to buckets because I've outgrown the glass jars but not sure what is safe for alcohol storage.
I love the herbal extracts. Reishi and Mineral Care are my favorites!
Both are such great options! Mushroom Care is my personal fave :) - Gracie
Wow! This is so interesting and at the same time it’s great info about your biz. 😎☀️🙌❤️
Glad you think so! I had a great time with our extracts team learning what they do all day :) - Gracie
Reminds me of a larger production of what I do. Looks great!
Love that! Thank you so much :) - Gracie
The website goes into some detail explaining the difference between extracts and tinctures. Does Mountain Rose offer tinctures?
Hi Mike! The difference between extracts and tinctures is the amount of herb infused in the alcohol or glycerin. An extract is considered 1 part herb to 1 part alcohol or glycerin. A tincture is considered 1 part herbs to 3 parts alcohol or glycerin. Infusions are necessary with some herbs due to their delicate nature. So basically our herbal extracts are more concentrated tinctures. You can always add more alcohol to dilute them or add them into beverages! I hope that helps to explain the difference :) - Gracie
Nice👍
Thanks ✌
So interesting! So the alcohol is for extracts and tinctures. What's the water for? How do you preserve the infusions?
Hi there! The percentage of distilled water in our extracts changes depending on the properties of each plant used. Some plants are more water soluble and some are more alcohol soluble so this ratio changes to suit the needs of each plant and its beneficial properties. Because our extracts are concentrated tinctures, the distilled water also helps to make the alcohol flavor less harsh. The percentage of alcohol is always high enough to preserve the plant material. If you ever have a question about a specific extract that we produce, you can reach out to our Customer Service team who will explain the product and can get you QC paperwork if desired. They can be reached Monday to Friday 8am-4pm PST by calling 800-879-3337, by emailing support@mountainroseherbs.com, or using the "Chat with Us" feature on our website. - Gracie
looks like a video game elixir or something I just wanna drink it
Definitely a magical power up ;) - Gracie
It's a pity that you don't sell outside the US.
We currently ship in the US and Canada! But you are right, we unfortunately cannot ship other places at this time. Sorry about that! - Gracie
I am surprised you are using plastic buckets in extraction process. Is there any reason why you are using plastic instead of any non-reactive metal containers? I see you are using food grade plastic buckets but still.. is it safe?
Hi there! We are careful in monitoring all of our equipment used in our facilities and are confident that the buckets used during extraction are safe. If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach out to our dedicated Customer Service team Monday to Friday 8am-4pm PST by calling 800-879-3337 or emailing support@mountainroseherbs.com. I hope that helps!
@@mountainroseherbs Thank you for taking time to reply. I really appreciate it.
About 5 years ago I heard that you get a lot of your herbs from China and I would like to know if that's true or not because that is why I have never bought any of your products
Hi there! We source our bulk herbs from all over the world focusing on native habitat, fair trade and fair wages, and organic growing practices. Out of the several hundred bulk herbs we sell, we do procure a small amount of our bulk herbs from farms in China. It is difficult to source bulk herbs used in Traditional Chinese Medicine outside of China because that region is where those medicinal herbs grow natively. You can see where each product originates from when you view the product page on our website.
You can read more about where and how we source our products here: info.mountainroseherbs.com/organics-sustainability#organics
Or you can contact us by reaching out to our dedicated Customer Service team M-F 8am-4pm PST by emailing support@mountainroseherbs.com, calling 800-879-3337 or by using our website chat feature.
