Thoralf has the unfortunate position of being the best player at the table, and therefore it just makes sense to gang up on him, which makes the game less fun for everyone. But if you don't, he likely wins, which is also predictable and unfun. Unfortunately there is not much that can be done about it.
Just this once, Thoralf does not start with Sol Ring, which usually ends in him being public enemy lol. Also that Delayed Blast Fireball Cascade was absolutely disgusting and I love it!
I missed that Orochi's ability could only be used once each turn, and for a while I was wondering why he didn't just go infinite with Staff of Domination.
Thoralf could've done more shenanigans during the other players turns though 1mana to untap staff, sinking all the mana in, 5mana to untap Patron, another sinking all the mana in for 3 turns... lot of carddraw and lifegain would that have been! likely he didn't because he knew he had the game on his next turn so wanted to stay out of spotlight and get the others damaging eachother
Friendship ended with bears (because I realized they were all shapeshifters and uh... just people I had confused for bears?) now the demons are my best friend. Also I love that the guitar riff synced up with the play involving the guitar space marine over there.
I'm still watching the video so I don't know if it really matters, but at 3:43 Jamin plays an untapped Stomping Grounds and doesn't take any damage for that.
Snake can actually be a verb. It can mean to move, twist or weave like snake thru a crowd. A snake is also a plumbing tool to unblock drains so someone might snake a drain.
I played snake tribal in Kamigawa standard, so a lot of these "obscure" cards in Thoralf's deck are super nostalgic for me. Patron of the Orochi is still one my favourite cards ever and can be useful in the 99 for many green edh decks even if you don't have snakes to sac. All that to say, I'm team Snake on this one 🐍🐍🐍🐍
Malone and the card market boys, I'd love to see this collab happen way more. No offense to Andrea, but Malone has about 10x the personality and charisma.
Just had the desire to watch a cardmarket commander game and was prepared to rewatch one of your older videos... Then I see this. This is gold. Thanks ❤
Thoralf sneaked out the win haha. I was surprised he wasnt using Patron during everyones turn (its 1/T) could get some value with Staff.. But it seemed that he just had what it takes already ready. This was very fun to watch, thanks for the video.
Nice! Makes me want to see if its possible to see commander that's a tribute to the 60 card decks like the MH3 Precons now. Or Commander but the deck is made of format allstars
This is the best commander table on YT, Carl, Jamin and Thoralf are so charismatic but in in a different and unique way. They also play magic really well and having a guest makes games fresh and different. Also the editing is on point, cool but not invasive kudos.
I hate that errata so much. Pour one out to anyone who had Naga as their favorite creature type. Or a Naga commander deck. Or any cultural connection to nagas.
At our table we had a really fun idea for building commander decks: You need 4 players, player 1 chooses a colour/combination Player 2 chooses a legal Commander within the colour/s chosen by player 1 Player 3 builds a deck around the chosen commander/s for player four, and that is done until everyone has built a deck for someone this way. It was reaallly fun, Though we could only do it once.
... but even with the Gauntlet destroyed, Thoralf still has infinite mana when he plays the Staff of Domination. He can tap 4 to continuously produce 6. That's the win right there!
Something I should mention about the "Orphan" Viper - it has a deathtouch like ability, but it isn't deathtouch. At 2+ power, it still has to assign damage equal to or greater than a creature's toughness before moving onto the next (if it's double blocked), unlike legitimate deathtouch where a 2/x deathtoucher can assign 1 point of damage to each blocker.
Now that is what I call a rollercoaster of a game! But King Cool just reminds me that you guys work in an attic in Berlin, I hope you're doing okay in this heat wave o.O
I wish you could invite Phil, better known as Brewer's Kitchen from MTGGoldfish, to play janky commanders someday. Just in Phil's style, with random interactions combos.
Malone, Malone, Malone with that 0:15 voice you sound more like playing knights or wizards, out to slay some dragons ... but hey other tribes play but demons will kill! Also some serious Werner - gekotzt wird später vibes going on here (Ich werd jetzt Könich)
be’lakor is one of my all time favorite commanders but never really gets the best showing, with the right cards he’s a MONSTER (blade of selves, rite of replication, sneak attack)
Oh yeah, we DO call them ophis in german, i wonder why we used the greek translation and not the commonly used german one "Schlange", but it's dope as fuck so I don't mind!
The demon deal backfiring (and unintentionally, no politics lying!) is such a fantastic outcome
I mean... Carl never said he wanted to survive Malone's Turn
To be fair with Cascade you are not FORCED to cast a spell, you can choose to not cast it ;P
@MareczqZglos that is a new ruling

Carl: There's no bear kings that exist.
Kudo, King Among Bears: Am I a joke to you???
Sultai Sidisi is kind of a snake queen, also 😂😂
that had probably not been released yet when this video was filmed
With the right to bear arms comes the ability to arm bears.
That's a great one! :D
I read this comment Before watching the video. Needless to Say i was Very confused.
The right to bear arms allows armed bears to bear bear arms in their bare bear arms.
Great idea! I'll add 6 more arms to each bear...and replace their tail with a human arm that gives a constant thumbs up.
@@CardmarketMagicsh-ah-man = shaman.

Snakes actually got mega-buffed recently. A recent errata changed the Naga creature type into snake
oooh!
Came to the comments to just say that XD
Did not know this. Happy it happend
Makes sense. Nagas are literally mythological snakes.
Yeah, thought, we will come with an imoti Spellslinger Deck, where the only Creature is imoti so tecnical still Tribal ;)
The zoom on Carl looking at the camera when Jamin snakes a plains is comedy gold
Snakes on a plane snake a plains into plain sight.
I love watching Malone, and I'm glad to see that he got to come on your channel! Especially since you are practically neighbors! Lol
These Commander games should really be titled "Jamin&Carl gangup on Thoralf for 40 minutes"
How many of them have won pro tours? I would too haha
they didnt do it this time as much as usual and you can see the result
Ikr it's always like that xD

Love the jungle book lore alliances most logical play in any commander game

Orochi also untaps itself iirc
Be'lakor absolutely shines, on paper. The textbox lends itself so incredibly well to demons tribal. Grixis colours too
I would love more content like this but with other things like random keywords based decks as well
I love y'all's commander videos. Please more of these. This was bringing me back to when y'all had Remy on with his Goat of Arms finish

Ahahahaha snakes on a plane....of kamigawa. Gold!
The only commander for bears is Ayula, Queen of Bears don't let the other legendary creatures fool you....

It almost mattered, but he took 3 damage to exactly 0 in the end. So instead of 3 -> 0, it would've been 1 -> -2
I prefer to skip videos with Jamin cause he often makes obvious mistakes like these.
I actually laughed out loud at Orphan Viper
Bear deck is the least bear deck at the table
Snake can actually be a verb. It can mean to move, twist or weave like snake thru a crowd. A snake is also a plumbing tool to unblock drains so someone might snake a drain.
Awesome to see the "Madman" Malone back on the channel! I was just rocking out to "Planet Discordia" by his band "Mother". 5 minutes ago!
Lol ngl I was expecting more meme-ish types like last time, but I'm here for the more popular types anyway.
I don't know what kind of witchcraft is this but every time i get too stressed with uni cardmarket appears, love you
enjoy uni, it will get worse after xD
its called magic

Malone's turn looked like a Yugioh turn lol that was hilariously random but looked perfectly setup xD

Only one of two MTG channels I still watch. Love every video, keep it up!
Let’s go bears!!! Just built a rule 0 Kudo and Ayula deck
I am so happy to see how you make videos with different creators!

Some cool ass cards in this, rlly exiting!
I love the orphan viper, just like a famous Minecraft youtuber one said “Dude, these orphans are getting destroyed!”
I love these episodes, the previous one was also very good. I would love to see more of these eventually!

Yoo more entertainment for my road trip! Sure this video is going to be fantastic!!
I've been waiting so long to see Be'lakor played on a channel! It's my favorite EDH deck. Excites to watch the vid and see what it does ❤
Carl, have you been nostalgic lately? What's up with the returning old guests? Who's next? Spice8rack? Great to see Malone back!
I think this is one of the first commander games I've seen where Thoralf hasn't been the first to die, and he wins. Heck yeah.
Was this recorded before Naga were errata-ed into snakes?
No the video was recorded recently 😅 we simply didn't know about the errata

Jamin's face when he saw Malone pull out the glasses LMAO

Did I hear 'I will snake this plains'? Does Samuel L Jackson have something to say about this?
Great, we love some creature wars, please do more! :D

I was hoping Thoralf was going to play Xyris when I heard snakes. His choice made more sense though
Damn, Malone the Betrayer!!
I plead for this format that ONLY creatures of the chosen type can be included in the decks!!
thats the boring way to brew tribal though, these decks were all pretty interesting takes on the tribe rather than play x card of y type.
