I once got attacked by a legendary elf hero, that lived 200 years. But a lead minecart at maximum speed killed him instantly
That'll do it
The laws of physic are stronger than the strongest warrior. :)
"I've never known defe- *splat*"
How bold of such stupid elf calling himself a hero.
Carved into the wall is an image of an orc, of a human, of a dwarf and of a spear.
The orc is cheering, the human is cheering, the dwarf is cheering and the elf is impaled on the spear.
Elf civ values only allow cannibalism in battle.
It's implied that the eles grow their wood products into the desired shapes without cutting down the trees.
Oh sweet that's real? I just imagined that they were because it was called grown wood
Makes one wonder about all those phallic shaped branches.
My first elf invasion over a hundred took me by complete surprise - after my army finally vanquished them, I sorted through their dead, and built a statue on the site of the battle the commemorate my losses - a single ewe.
They really should change how the elves behave, since if you are immortal warfare gets a different meaning. Its not just that you are risking going to die early, but that you are risking a life of eternity
If anything, a elf should be a extreme pacifist, only acting against goblins, or that elves can only be immortal when they are in good spirited forested biomes, and they age outside of them regularly, so that they actually have a reason to attack the good civilizations for deforestation
My taverns are often filled with nude elvish dancers.
This is not a complaint.
Something I noticed on world gen is Elves need a lot forest to grow huge population, else they spread to their whole section of small jungle and stop growing.
I AM ANGRY
ANGRY ABOUT ELVES
I have in my world a lot of Dark Elven pit, which I assume are goblin territories conquered by elves, but they could also be like a sub race of their own.
It is also important to mention that elves clad in steel armor with steel weapons are a really scary force, especially since they can get legendary in everything.
Also, I've noticed that elves also tend to be a little rowdy when given commands and drag their feet while doing them (pointed eared bastards).
Elves also appear to have discovered the art of making things out of jewels. I've consistently traded for pedestals made out of diamonds and other precious stones with them.
They also have a desire to wander around more and have a desire to see mega beasts or beasts in general.
Elven necromancers are extremely rare and I don't think they can happen naturally.
Now, the most important thing you just glossed over is that they are pointy eared gits! Very important thing to remember!
Elves can't get the "obsession over their impending death" thought to seek out necro texts, but I think they can just accidentally read the secrets of life and death if they're left in an accessible location (ie: visitable locations like taverns, if the civ collected that artifact)
Elves belong in wooden cages.
I love the lore! Thanks for making this and please keep it going =)
I built floodgates and floor grates so whenever I get invaded or have to fight creatures they just drown. Then their bodies gets pushed down the channel where it evaporates and my dwarfs can easily loot everything lol
They should be able also use gold for stuff since it's a metal that doesn't need wood smelting to be worked.
I do think having dark elves be this games orcs be a neat spin.
I have technology and finished goods to trade..... Elves have sticks and nuts.
Hate those guys
elves are the wood mafia
Only good elf is a dead elf
They have trained animals and that is why I am always nice to them.
Trained animals are what you go to them for, also I think they create animal people?
@@animorph17 that's Haram.
I mint gold coins and use that to pay elven caravans because its easier than sifting through finish good bins to find things they actually will accept
How do you mint coin?
@@BasedBellagio Metal crafters may strike physical coins out of any metal at the metalsmith's forge. This process requires one metal bar and one unit of fuel, and produces one stack of 500 coins. Each stack of coins has an effective item value of 10, meaning that the value of a stack is 10 × material value of the component metal, and a given coin is (10 × material value ÷ 500) of the value of the metal bar that produced it.
Tree Hugers are met with Steel!
Love the series, please continue
Elves: My source of exotic creatures and cultural abuse entertainment.
love to be able to play the elves fortress some time sone!
I have elves in my fort, that I'm pretty sure have killed elves in war for my people all for their love of cheese
I stopped respecting the elves as people the instant I realized their weapons were made of wood.
Not just wood. They will not trade any animal tissue-derived stuff either.
Fuckin knife ears
Great voice
the only trade good i'll give to the knife ears is water and they don't want it in a barrel so i just give it to them strait
I can imagine that you could do a great impersonation of Trump :D
Elven vermin ;)
enjoyed the vid, but had to watch at 1.75x
