They are great boats. I have a Caracal and love it especially the storage I honestly don’t think any other boat can hold as much stuff as the Caracal does. I’ve run quite a few other brand boats that where 20-21’ that doesn’t hold what that 19’8 does.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but have you seen the bilge area and pump organization of the new Caymus? It is three times cleaner set up and better accessibility than Bass Cat . Youve got a mess back there you have wires everywhere I would get that mess cleaned up if you’re going to put it on videos and feature it🤷
When you put your trolling motor in water or taking it out, do you have to grab your wires to the side when doin it? Mine is a pain. I got a 2021 bass cat

I don’t know about it being the best. One of the most expensive for sure. I know people will say you get what you pay for. But I don’t think anyone is getting what they paid for when they buy a boat.
What’s unfortunate about boats is how much they depreciate once they leave the dealer lot. I do think it’s all personal preference about what’s the “best” for sure
Don’t think the boats are overpriced as much as all the bells and whistles we put on them! Poles, jp, 4 graphs, live, 360, spot lock, lithium’s ,blah,blah,blah! Just another $30k we add and somehow the boat manufacturers are taking the blame? Motors on the other hand have gotten STUPID. But hell, take my money! I run a 2020 Cougar sp FTD and couldn’t be happier. Debating on a sts right now but don’t know if it can get skinny enough for the water I like to fish.
@@keithgyulveszi163 I was in the market for a boat back in the spring. Just as the 2023 prices were coming out. Couldn’t get a 2022 boat because they were sold out. Looked at skeeter and Ranger. Even considered Bass cat . Things started looking bad were I work. So I was scared to spend to much money. Found a 2021 z19 Nitro. They get a bad rap but I really have no complaints so far and I saved 30k.
@@BigFootBassGuideTV Thanks. I currently have a 52 Ultra on my Champion. I run Lawrence and am thinking of giving the Ghost a try. Wasn't sure if the 47" Ghost would be enough for the Cougar. Good looking boat BTW.
@@BigFootBassGuideTV That's what I was afraid of. I have two main lakes in Texas I fish. One is a shallow grass lake and the other is offshore. I love using my electronics offshore fishing!
The Puma STS is a great boat of its own. Maybe I’ll run one in the future and do a video on it as well. The cougar is my boat of choice and I don’t see me switching from this model anytime soon but we’ll see!
Bought my 2019 brand new and absolutely love the boat.... Like what you said about the reverse lights.

Personal preference of course but the cougar, puma STS and jaguar STS are your“big water” boats in my opinion

Planning on getting the hybrid Cougar. What length shaft did you get on your ultrex?
