Lol..😂 I'm binge watching his videos. I've never seen anything like these repairs before..😊 I literally don't know what he is going to do next in these videos.😊 The repairs are so backward. But so mesmerising to watch.😊 This guy is either repair challenged or literally a genius..😂 Lol. I haven't made my mind up yet.
You clearly have a soldering iron in other videos, why not just solder it. What do you have against 1.5V batteries?!!!
The damaged LED is open circuited and does not allow current to flow, by removing it and shorting exposed pads, it is effectively bypassed. There is a current regulator in the LED driver which adjusts voltage for remaining LEDs, as all LEDs are in series so that part is automatically handled.
But the current regulator is not ideal and has a range, so if 30% LEDs get damaged then by bypassing them the voltage on remaining LEDs would not be properly regulated to maintain safe current limit and remaining LEDs would be overloaded i.e. there would be faster successive failures each time you bypass one from the remaining.
!!!!!! How did you know that this part was damaged?
