thanks guys!
Cool to watch this process!
Yeh upgrading stuff is where the fun is
Run a piece of shielding tape connecting the two cavities under the pickguard and control plate. That way the shields will ground to the control plate-- the shields do nothing if not grounded, or they might actually increase rfi noise. Fyi
Hope I get to hear it. Thanks for the vid
I too hate soldering, and I like the idea of connecting via some form of terminal block or quick connector rather than soldering, especially if it’s possible that some components may be swapped out in future.
I didn’t see exactly what you used, and I’m wondering if there are smaller options of the same sort of principle available. As a Sparky I’m assuming a lot of your spare items are for commercial or domestic electrical use, not really for electronics.
Yeh it’s mostly from house electrics, but the connections are solid, I used wagos but yeh it’s probs not something I’ll leave in but no issues at the min and it’s been gigged and played a lot since
What bartoline pickup model did you use?
Was there original sound mm4 pickup
@@AndyBassist thank you! Just a bought a blck one with maple fretboard that will be fully modded, looking for the passive pickup sounds
What is the replacement bridge?
It’s a standard fender hi mass bridge
Thanks, I have the same bass and have replaced the pickup with a Seymour Duncan SMB-4A Alnico and D’addarrio flat wound chromes. My last upgrade will be the bridge replacement.
@@haroldlanni1126 it’s such an easy upgrade to do! An the fender is easily half the price of the hipshot
