The first part of the music makes me think of someone walking in the fields on a sunny day. Watching the flowers flow in the wind, and the butterflies fly around. Birds chirp in the trees and you are simply enjoying yourself. 1:01 Then suddenly the wind kicks up and you go tumbling down the grassy hill as the world goes in circles. 1:23 When you finally stop rolling and are on more flat ground you realize you're next to a pretty river with bunnies and deer around it and they come to check you out. The rest is where you just lie down and look at the white clouds in the bright blue sky and birdsong fills your ears as you chill with the forest creatures right next to you.
If you lived in Norway some decades and heard the ice truck, you would wish to flee out of Norway for years ago😅 But the actual music, this is way much better, than that theme the ice truck have terrorised us with😆😅
I remember first listening to this song when I was 8 years old in the late 1960’s and could never figure out the name of it, now I know. Thanks 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
First heard this when I was about 7 years old. It started a life-long love affair with orchestral music, Grieg in particular. Thank you for uploading this wonderful piece.
I used to like to imagine that there was a larger than average sized house in a nearby town, where the quiet and relatively unknown composer of this lived, and that this one short piece was his only great masterpiece, but that he is, as he would be, a genius just for writing this.
Johnny McAfee brought me here, he sang A little girl and a little boy based on a tune by Grieg Norwegian Dance No.2! Go HUG someone today IF they're been vaccinated or not 🚫 Blessings and Hugs 💖💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕!
I adore Edvard Grieg, and this is one of my favorites, from his Norwegian dances....number one is my favorite. I love the hauntingly beautiful sound of an oboe, and the musician does an exquisite job, as do all of the performers. What group is this?
It was actually used for 'The Adventure Game' series 2. That was on BBC around 1981, such a great show. Needs bringing back. Lovely piece of music too - ideal for calming the nerves after watching the contestants get evaporated trying to cross the Vortex at the end of each show.
Its short for Project Reality. Its a modification for Battlefield 2 and this song is used in a Map called Vadso city. Btw PR is an awesome mod in my opinion one of the worlds best

Don't you love when that happens? It is like a weight off your shoulders.

its just the most Norwegian sounding music you can come by.
I will take your word for it, I just realized I have no clue what Norwegian music sounds like.
@@justforever96 Probably similar to Swedish music somewhat.
One of Grieg's greatest hits - played perfectly. Beautiful.

MALP1231 This is preformed by the "Kringkastnings orkestret"
Wasn't this used as a signature tune for a BBC tv children's series in the 50s? Anyone remember which?Greetings from East Anglia in England.
The Railway Children perhaps.
