@Nebulasmoke this dummy said, what's the point if she said she's from Malaysia but doesn't speak the national language and said that she's American now. Well, Indonesians are always hateful (idk why) but jealousy won't take them far. Look at this for example, she's not only representing Malaysia but Asia as well. Be proud. Even though she may not be your favourite but you gotta respect them for what they did. At least Michelle is better than whoever is commenting this hateful things. She's an Oscar winner now and this person commenting is who? No one knows
Congratulations, Michelle ! We are proud of you for being the first Asian woman to win this prize. You deserved it for all the hard work all these years. 💖
100% deserving and about time she got this recognition! I love how she composed herself and took in the moment, on the cusp of being overwhelmed and then being overjoyed.
Congratulation to Michelle Yeoh win the Oscar Award again. Yea she got second awards 👍👏👏. " Michelle Yeoh " You're made so proud all Chinese and oversea Chinese. Pretty-sure all Chinese are love you ❤❤❤.
Now when whites win awards in Asian majority countries, then you have officially combated world wide discrimination. Until then, you are just virtue signaling.
The Oscar is finally recognised the talent of Asian actress Michelle Yeoh. The BAFTA is a shameless white only movie awards in England not really an international class.
I have been a fan of Michelle Yeoh since her role in The Heroic Trio in 1993 when I was 10. I am Cantonese Chinese. Years later, I watched her in Crouching Tiger and I was surprised that she could speak Mandarin. I could not understand her at all so I read the subtitles (Cantonese is not much like Mandarin if you don’t understand both). Years later, I watched Michelle Yeoh in James Bond and I was surprised that she could act in English. It still amazes me that on top of this she can speak Hokkien, Malay, and Tamil. She is even quite good with French. I have always been super impressed with her abilities. I was born here in the US and if I had to act, I can really only do it in English. There is no way I could sound natural with my Cantonese because I don’t think or dream in Cantonese and I rarely use it in life. When I watch Michelle Yeoh in every language, she is completely natural in all of them. That is truly an amazing feat. I remember in EEAAO, she spoke in a few languages in some scenes. When she spoke Cantonese, it sounded like home. I felt like I was with my family. Someone else was saying that Cate Blanchett deserved the Oscar because she learned another language (mind you, I LOVE Cate Blanchett too). I am impressed with that but please don’t let a white person learning another language take away from an Asian person who knows many languages. It’s like when people say how impressed they are with white people who can speak Chinese. Hello. There are so many of us Chinese people who can also speak English. Why aren’t you impressed with us? It’s such a strange double standard. Anyway, I just hope people stop trying to claim that Michelle Yeoh won because the Academy is “woke.” Michelle Yeoh won because she’s amazing at what she does and she finally got to star in a movie that utilized her talent to the max. Most of these awards go to actors in amazing movies. The movie is like the vehicle. Erin Brockovich was a great vehicle for Julia. The Blind Side was a great vehicle for Sandra. EEAAO was a great vehicle for Michelle Yeoh. To the people saying she won because of wokeness: Michelle Yeoh was able to do so many things in her role in EEAAO that neither Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock can do (and I love them too so I’m not biased against them). How is it wokeness when Michelle’s capabilities surpass those of most actors? And no, it’s not just because she can do fight scenes. Tons of actors can do fight scenes. Jackie Chan can do fight scenes. Arnold can do fight scenes. And as much as I love them both, they don’t exactly have the emotional range Michelle Yeoh has. So you can keep your work accusations to yourself.
As a Hong konger who grew up with her movies, I’m so happy for her. Although I don’t like that movie, I’m pleased that she won it… she broke all the glass ceilings!
The reaction of the other nominees along with the audience speaks volumes.

It’s a great moment for her, for the Academy, for cinema and for us. Bravo.
Tahniah Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh....
..kerana membuktikan yg Malaysia Boleh...!!!💐🥳
I feel in love with her during her role in Memoirs of a Geisha. I’ve always watched foreign films, and glad she’s getting the recognition she deserves!
Michelle was phenomenal in her role and well deserving of the win! Congratulations for being the first Asian and Malaysian woman to win an Oscar! We are all so proud of you. ❤😍💪🙌

Whenever any news about Malaysia appears , this toxic person will write hatred comments

Michelle Yeoh orang Ipoh Malaysia dan bisa Berbahasa Malaysia dengan baik.
Jangan jealous ya.
Miyoshi Umeki did win the supporting actress in 1952. But Michelle is the first to win the leading role.

Ana de Armas reaction is priceless ! Gosh i love her
Loved the group hug, and Jamie telling Michelle something like hurry up and go on stage. Congrats to her and and all the other awards the movie won, they were truly well deserved.
Michelle Yeoh is really a talented actress....it was just a matter of time that the world recognizes it and I am really glad that they have given her such a special recognition, God Bless the Oscars
Stephanie Hsu briefly losing her mind was my favourite part of this 😂
Wow! Congratulation Michelle Yeo. 🙏
Congratulation Malaysia.
An Oscar to a Malaysian actress.
Who would think it’s possible?
But it did! 😳
I had been waiting for this moment to come true. We are proud of you, Tan Sri Yeoh ❤❤
We are proud of you Michelle Ipoh girl from Malaysia.
Absolutely deserved, I'm so happy for her! I've seen her in so many movies throughout the years and to see her win now at 60 is so heartwarming and inspiring! I love what she said about not letting anyone tell you you're past your prime. What an inspiration
From Leboh Lasam to Los Angeles....via London, Switzerland & Hong Kong. What a journey. Well done indeed.
Andrea is sincerely happy for her! Those cheering was so genuine❤
We LOVE you Michelle Yeoh...from Malaysia ❤thanksss to Hollywood
Michelle getting an oscar directly from Halle is iconic on so many levels!!! Both women of color were Bond girls from the same era. Congrats on the win!!!
And they both were beauty pageant winners.
It doesn't matter what colour they are stop making everything about race
@@borris3768 it does matter to people of color! sorry you will never understand this!
This makes me so happy. She is a superb incredibly talented artist
It’s quite honourable that the first black woman to win a Best Actress Oscar, Halle, could present the first Best-Actress-Oscar-winning Asian woman with her award.
Congratulations, Michelle. 💓
@@michelleyeoh6 You’re very welcome. I’m also glad that you could make an important contribution to the Star Trek universe. 💓
Crouching Tigger Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Mummy, The Lady, 007, etc. I've been a huge fan of her, so glad she won! Amazing actress!!
Michelle Yeoh's facial expressions deserve a separate Oscar. She has this ability to barely move her face but the audience knows exactly what her character is thinking or doing. Her performances are mind-blowing. So well-deserved for this talented powerhouse. Bravo! 👏🎬
I am a Malaysian, from Kuala Lumpur. Love you Michelle, proud of you. Malaysia 🇲🇾 Boleh 🤸♂️
shout out to Malaysia😊. Tahniah Michelle Yeoh
This is very awesome for the Asian community! I’m so happy for her. 🎉🎉
makes me wanna watch everything everywhere all at once again!
Her performance in that movie was amazing! She played many characters and made us believe everyone of them
This made me so happy! One of the legends in martial arts and action movies!! ❤
Itu *China Tiongkok* 🇨🇳✅🥰
@@suhanjayalian5044 no, that’s a woman of the world. It takes sheer determination, hard work and courage to actually master such diversity- to be able to forge a successful 4 decade career across all genres in several different countries and languages. And tonight she was rightfully finally recognized and awarded for this. She graciously and humbly thanks all these influences that helped her.
Your repeated racist commentary is quite obsessive and troubling, I hope you find a healthier path.
Here a Hongkonger, thanks to Michelle for giving credit to Hong Kong in such a world stage. Proud of you❤❤
There’s a reason Halle Berry and Michelle Yeoh are my favorite Bond girls, I knew they had talent ❤
I love Michelle Yeoh, she pure class! Michelle Yeoh and Brenden Fraser are the two most deserving Oscar winners in the last 50 years. Talent and class won tonight with these two.

100% deserving and about time she got this recognition! I love how she composed herself and took in the moment, on the cusp of being overwhelmed and then being overjoyed.
Guys , don't let anybody tell you that you hv passed your prime !
At 60+ & still looking great.

So glad she won. She’s been a favorite of mine since I saw her in Crouching Tiger
To all the boys and girls who look like me 😢❤
Justice was also served for Anna May Wong 🎉
Now when whites win awards in Asian majority countries, then you have officially combated world wide discrimination. Until then, you are just virtue signaling.
nop
The Oscar is finally recognised the talent of Asian actress Michelle Yeoh. The BAFTA is a shameless white only movie awards in England not really an international class.
Huh?
Gw tau Michele Yeoh sejak film The Touch, itu udah 20tahun lalu ... She Deserves it.
First Asian woman to be nominated in 84 years
I have been a fan of Michelle Yeoh since her role in The Heroic Trio in 1993 when I was 10. So you can keep your work accusations to yourself.
can I give you a hug for this comment?
Jamie Lee Curtis being everyone’s mom and rooting for everyone who won 😭👍🏻❤️
So super duper amazing
A very deserving award to a special person with a very superb multi faceted performance skills.
As a Hong konger who grew up with her movies, I’m so happy for her. Although I don’t like that movie, I’m pleased that she won it… she broke all the glass ceilings!
I cry watching her accept this award!!!
Many Asian actors have been very lucky at the Oscars this year thanks to Everything Everywhere All At Once.
