You are Welcome @dihess Funny how something so simple can cost so much at the dealership. I'm glad you found my video and saved your money for something else. Now, you know where to go when some of your other lights go out on you. No, not the dealership. LOL
Thank You @Down the Wrabbit Hole Travel most of the small stuff on your car can be taken care of by the owner. People can really save themselves some money doing the little things to their cars. I believe that if someone can see how its done they should be able to do it themselves. Thanks for stopping by. Take Care. :)
Great video! Short and complete! I watched some videos before and sincerely some of them took so long and couldn’t explain what yours have with objectivity. Thank you
The "spring" is plastic and is integrated onto the lights retainer. You should be able to feel it when you press one direction or the other. I have seen where they can be reversed, try pressing the opposite direction.
Is it imperative to disconnect the light first before you replace the bulb? I didn't realize I even could disconnect them but they were replaced fairly easily and work fine. Thanks for your video help.
You don't have to disconnect them. I just did that so I could "paint" the contacts on the connectors. I'm glad you were able to get your changed. Thanks for your support. Take Care.
@@IamWedge I'm not the brightest. I assumed it was the same process for the Impreza sedan as the hatchback. It's not, you have to go through the trunk with the sedan. Thanks for your help, I used your vids to change all the white halogens to LED in my car. Changing the interior halogens to LEDs make a huge difference too if you havent done that yet.
Hello my new friend! I'm stopping by from Puša Studios to show some love and support for you and your channel! I look forward to staying connected and I hope you have a wonderful weekend! God bless 🌹🙏

@@INTHEFIELD777 You have that Black cover in the trunk lid? It is held in place with push-in type pins? These pins you pop the center up before removing the whole pin. Here's a link for a guy changing his backup and tag lights. ruclips.net/video/2lN1Bgop3oQ/видео.htmlsi=A_pbPt5c2kE3ey7C
I really appreciate the looking. But I know how to change bulbs. I’m referring to the light housing itself. You can see the backside of it with the black clips there in the video. The housing you could say. It’s like they are made to be in there forever
@@INTHEFIELD777 See the left side of the clip at the 4:51 mark? (of the video I sent you) The left side of the clip ( the "U" shape) is what keeps the pressure on the housing to stay in place. Notice the Bottom of the "U" shape? I can see that If I were to install this housing I would place the right side in first then press the "U" side in. So, removing it should be easy. Press on the Outside of that "U" shaped plastic piece. Get past the notch and push the "U" shaped side up first, to get the right side of the housing out. The Tag housing is to be pushed out to the exterior of the car. (Out by your actual license plate.)
Thank you! My dealership wanted to charge me $105 to change these. I did it for less than $10 thanks to you!

Man you've helped me so much in saving money and in learning how to work on my own vehicle. Thanks a ton for your videos!!!!
@therealbradmo you are welcome. Glad you have been able to do the jobs yourself and keep your money in your pocket.
Like these kinds of videos where I feel like I could take care of my car by myself - i'm not that handy but you make it look so easy! Thank you! :)

I don't know what I'm doing different, bit I cant get them to budge.
Did you try pushing from the other direction? You will feel it bounce on the little piece of plastic.

Why would you want to make it easier for the fuzz to run your plates?
Ive got 4 cylinders. Most Police cars have V8s. If they wanna read my plate, they will catch up to me plenty fast. :)
@@IamWedge That's true 😂👍 but you're highlighting or accenting the state's claim on your vehicle 🤣
Very interesting video. Greetings my friend and have a good day. 👍8

The legacy makes it impossible to do. The light does not come out. It’s not even close. Nor does it from the inside. It’s quite the conundrum
What Year Legacy?
