This movie is a masterpiece! Actors are great, music perfect, storyline absolutely GREAT! James Ivory, who played a central rôle in the making of this movie, made another gem! The beauty of the story is that for a first time, the parents of the character are perfectly aware about what their son is going, and they do not judge! Tolerance, open mindedness, sensitive...The story is a heartbroken first love, and treated like a step in the life of a teenager/young man. No judgement. I have been heartbroken in my teen years, who didn't?...I wish I had parents like in the movie. Great, wonderful and extremely elaborate!

Well, Oscars are Oscars, this movie could get more...but the most important thing is that it touched our hearts, minds and souls, that is more important thing that Oscars! oh how much i love these songs, but mostly mystery of love. you'd think one would say Visions of Gideon, but i don't. it hurt me, yes, the scene and the acting in this scene makes me cry every time i watch it, as if i don't know how it's ending lol. but mystery of love feels like it has tons of meaning behind it that only certain people can explain or feel, it's a special feeling that doesn't get thrown around and that happens often. it's like a magical feeling, you'll only have with that special person. nobody else. it leaves me feeling miserable knowing i haven't ever had this feeling, but when the timing is right, so will i be.
