He refers to them as "The Penguins" multiple times in the video, at the start he said 5 animals to simplify the amount of animals into species for people who might not know about Madagascar.
Funniest part about the croc is that I'm pretty sure it only appears in one scene in the actual movie. The scene in question involves it jumping out of the water to eat a duckling in front of the group after they escaped from Alex.
As a kid the final battle was sick as hell for me, Dodging the King Foosa and learning how to optimize it as an elementary schooler made me feel so proud. Good job dev.
This is my favorite genre of Coney content. Even after watching them multiple times, you never know what the game is gonna do next. Good movie, can't wait for the next one.
I not only played this game as a kid but I have also followed and been apart of the speedrunning scene for this game for close to a decade. It is pretty neat to see some larger content creators shine a light on this game. The speedrun for this game is quite cool and despite not being a massive speedrun, the game has still had its fair share of massive discoveries and storylines over the years. Thank you guys for checking out this game, it’s pretty neat to see.
Ngl I loved this game as a kid. I played the fuck outta the shuffleboard minigame. The Over the Hedge game would make a good addition to the series if you need more inspiration.
I have a story about this game when I was a child. For context when I was young I would get spooked very easily, usually by weird sounds and things that looked weird. When I say weird sounds I’m not talking about the fridge at night. I mean the most generic audio effects you would hear in games and toys. For example I was scared of a toy “suv” that would have you pack stuff for a trip. If you were too slow it would open the trunk and pop everything out, playing a jingle. Back to this game. There is this stage in this game where you have to defend the giant tree from worms. They all fall out of their spawner and touch the floor. If you fall from the giant tree you will have a giant swarm until you take all the spawners out. This wasn’t the worst part for me, the whole entire vibe of this level is off putting. That’s because this is the level where Alex the Lion goes crazy. You have to defend Mort as Melman as he “chases” you in order to eat Mort. I was super scared of the fail cutscene. Alex takes Mort from Melman and runs away with him. My child Brain interpreted this as Alex taking a chunk of Melmans flesh from his neck, effectively killing him. This is followed with the womp womp sound effect. Also taking to eat Mort but I guess I cared less about that at the time. The developers knew what they were doing. They put a Golden Coin right near at Alex’s spawn. To get this coin you have to touch it and immediately run back while facing the camera. If you miss the mini tornado you get the fail cutscene, and I do mean mini. You need to do this to get 100%. I was scared so bad I was afraid to walk into the dark hallway at night because I thought crazy Alex would kill me.
Bro, I strongly recommend you use commas, when you're making small statements following the same idea you should separate them by commas. Full stops can be used to separate ideas that don't immediately follow the previous ones and to break up the paragraph into smaller parts. But for the love of god, please, please separate your paragraphs, walls of text like this are a chore to read. Otherwise, that is one funny story, I can't say I identify but I'm sure I also felt unnecessarily uncomfortable by things that by all means shouldn't.
@@MarkiplierMeatMuncher8 I’m glad you enjoyed it, I also find it funny how it seemed like more of an incoherent rambling. But I’d rather prefer people read what I had to say than gloss over it because it’s a lot of text.
Loved this game as a kid. Loved hearing Coney commentate smash bros when I got into the competitive scene in high school. Now I get to watch Coney play this game It’s a really niche dream come true
I don’t own this game, but I have played it at a store game kiosk, and two things I distinctly remember are Gloria + Peppers and Melvin’s helicopter spin. Nice to see those weren’t just fever dreams.
I played this game religiously as a kid. Definitely one of those games that makes you think they put something in the water supply when you were younger.
I played Madagascar 2 for the Wii when I was a kid, and it is so fucking funny to see that Madagascar 1 has extremely similar gameplay (minus all the motion controls)
4:47 "There's always a stealth sections in these games" Me with Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator: World Championship To this day, I will never understand why that stealth section was so unbelievably tough (maybe it was just tough for younger me but still)

I remember playing this game vividly as a child and starting the video n seeing the kicking of bins n trolleys mechanic reminded me of a whole section I didn't enjoy later on.
grew up playing this, and theres no reason the soundtrack has to FUCK this hard, map theme? fucking banger, PENGUIN MUTINY???? Im robbing a bank with a toothpick
genuinely one of my favourite series from both of you, and that's saying something the chemistry just works perfectly for this fucked up format, and i honestly think that , in moderation, there's enough material for this to not grow old anythime soon
Ive a lot of nostalgia from the second game on the ds in this series. Never thought I'd think about it again, but thanks for bringing that back to me. Good vid
I remember playing this game on the PS2 and I specifically remember the game broke once you made it to the final tranq gun section on the penguins boat level and I always had to reset my PS2 after that! I recently got this game setup on my emulator and my god this game is still fire 15 years later!!
That intro was a work of art. Also, I was about to suggest The Incredibles right as you said it. One of my "favorite" licensed movie GameCube games (it was infuriating at times)
This was one of two games I was allowed to play on my dad’s Xbox when i was little (The other was Worms but I don’t remember ever actually playing that one). My parents got it because they didn’t want me to be the only kid who didn’t have any idea of how to play video games. But because I was a little kid and didn’t play any other games I really sucked at it. So I made my dad beat the game for me and then I would just play the levels I liked on repeat. So I really just played the first five levels, jungle banquet, and the shuffleboard minigame on repeat for the entirety of my childhood. The penguin level was my absolute favourite though, because I liked using the crane to throw the sailors into the sea. 😂 Thanks for playing this, you guys. It was really fun to watch.
I'm just happy you played this game, which was part of my childhood. I would also like to point out the hilarity of the guys going into the missions and levels with no context because they skipped the cutscenes, which somehow led to them forgetting the fact that the main antagonist from the first movie being the Fossa, which is a real wild cat species, lol.
I'm actually so excited for the eventual Incredibles run, it was I think my second ever video game I played on the ps2 and honestly maybe one of the more fun movie tie in games at least from my experience This series is so fun!
Oh man, this brings back memories. If I remember correctly there's a pretty good golf mini-game in this game. I'm excited for the next video. Shrek 2 was also one of my favorite licensed movie games as a kid. I think I would rank it Incredibles > Shrek 2 > Cars > Madagascar
I feel betrayed. Every time Coney and Alpharad do a duo event Alpha always somehow brings up some story they already talked about on their podcast that NOBODY seems to know about. Call me weird or whatever but I keep relistening to it and I wish they would bring it back. For example, Alpharad talked about his story in which a woman walked up to him and said "Do you like to move it move it?" in this video and on stream, but in their podcast the same story is brought it relatively early on, if I remember correctly. Just felt the need to get this off my chest but if you see this I'm sorry.
You can tell Coney hasn't seen the Madagascar movies because he thinks all the penguins are one person.
He refers to them as "The Penguins" multiple times in the video, at the start he said 5 animals to simplify the amount of animals into species for people who might not know about Madagascar.
Rico Skipper Kowalski Private
Also "Kaboom?"
"Yes Rico, Kaboom."
Kowalski! Analyis report.
Just as I suspected. We are all 4 different penguins with individual personalities, bodytypes, and voices.
Coney and Alpharad when they get mad at gas cars (idk I never watched the movies)
