I find the sheer irony of Toriel trying to protect children, then accidentally murdering four of them in the process to be the most hilarious thing about this mod.
So the Flowey fight isn't glitched, but is a design oversight with the mod. Omega Flowey does more damage based on how much health you have, the idea is to make low-health situations easier and feel more clutch by making you take less damage; with more health from mulitplayer, this gets amplified a LOT.
@@jaccrabtree5019 It treats you asif you're level 1 with no equipment. By default that'd be 20 HP, but with the mod it's 80. Either way, getting hit 4 times as much is a lot more difficult with limited HP.
It's a shame that he zoomed in on the hearts at 4:43, because when Toriel accidentaly kills you, her sprite changes to an expression of shock for just a split second. It's such a neat detail for the few players who actually manage to get themselves killed by Toriel in a normal Undertale playthrough.
If you want a sense of how much of a struggle the Flowey fight was, they said several times during the stream that they believed _the Genocide route Sans fight_ would be easier. (They're probably right, for a few reasons. One, the game doesn't crash every time you lose, so it's a lot faster to get back into the fight after a loss. Two, the attack patterns are largely deterministic and any random elements are slow enough to react to, so once you've been through it a couple of times, you know what to expect. Three, healing items actually work as intended. And four, Bad Time Simulator exists, so they have a way to practice in advance.)
Omega flowey is easy as fuck its almost impossible to die, and if you beat a soul after you die it will remain beated so you can continue where you stopped even if you die

4:43 In case no one has figured it out since 2015, If you die to Toriel, she has a look of horror right before the screen goes black. Indicating that her killing you is an accident.
Interestingly, as I read about years ago, since Toriel is capable of accidently killing the player while Papyrus will always barely avoid killing you, this implies that Papyrus has more skill with magic than Toriel does.
I will never get tired of multiplayer mods. Like, the games they're in are very rarely even slightly designed with extra characters in mind, so it's ALWAYS chaos.
This stream demonstrated that people will always try to sabotage you and commit atrocities and use you as a meat shield/scapegoat if they think they can get away with it. The lesson here is to never trust your friends and be ready to kill them brutally first before they ruin you. Thank you Alpharad for this educational video.

Toby Fox's storytelling is brilliant; a significant part of DeltaRune involves Kris' lack of freedom as all of their choices are made by the player, but now the players THEMSELVES get to feel that lack of freedom, if one person -Smith- chooses to kill in this mod, the other 3 people are forced to watch This was one of the few Alpharad Twitch streams I actually caught, and this was a neat mod to witness

I think the reason the flowey fight is so much harder is that everyone has their own set of I-frames, as opposed to the rest of the run, where they all share I-frames.

Okay but admittedly that final battle with Flowey was actually even more grand, epic, and hype than it is in the normal game, which is quite the achievement. Unfortunately, though, they're probably quite sick of Finale by now, which is sad because that song is amazing
The best part about the bomb segment is that that wasn't changed by the mod creator at all. That's actually how the bombs work in the base game, Alphys and Mettaton just hope you won't notice once you go past the two minute mark when only 90 seconds have passed.

Honestly loving the abundance of content alpha has been posting lately, makes me really happy to see so much from him after the droughts we have had in the past
He said on stream that he has about a full month's worth of content that didn't get uploaded because his schedule got upended when the Wipeout vid sent him to the hospital
Honestly tho thinking about it there is an interesting concept here with a multiplayer undertale/deltarune type game where its built from the ground up with the idea that theres at least 2 players who both get to make decisions. And in some way might be able to affect how well the others actions work (attempting to stop the other from attacking for example) ideally id think combat would work like deltarune with the party system. Just a neat concept i think
this is genuinely an amazing idea for a meta level game like undertale, i've never really seen multiplayer explored in a way like this. The closest things i can think of are It Takes Two with its collaborative 2-player story, and how in deltarune, susie kind of just does her own thing, like you said. I think a perfect version of this would require the multiplayer aspects of It Takes Two, the freedom of choices (especially frm Susie and other characters in battle) in Deltarune, and the extensive amount of endings and converging/diverging plotlines like in Undertale.
So the very moment Toriel got stabbed an ad played and it was the ad about the dangers of vaping saying you're putting "this" in your lungs. Now I'm just imagining that Toriel is part of the anti vape ad 😂
for me it was a fucking Dunkin ad as toriel started turning into dust, it played some dust (instant coffee powder) being poured into a cup and it talked about their new secret ingredient
Would've been cool if every soul used it's actual power. Like the 💚kindness soul used a shield, the 💙integrity soul having gravity, the 💜 preservance soul having bars to jump to, and the ❤determination soul just being normal, and probably helping everyone restart from a save file
It's so fun that this mod allows us to relive these memories we all share together, Nostalgia is great but even better when you have others to share it with

I think a perfect version of this would require the multiplayer aspects of It Takes Two, the freedom of choices (especially frm Susie and other characters in battle) in Deltarune, and the extensive amount of endings and converging/diverging plotlines like in Undertale.
