Picking up Ed last week started with "The dream combo looks fun imma use a rental fighter and see if I can learn it" I have now dropped Akuma bc Ed is like crack and the dream combo is cool as shit.

I also wanted to come back after seeing Ed but once I realized how awful they try to scam you into paying extra for dlc characters I couldn't justify it.
@@Awkwerp That's like one of the only complaints I have about the game, but you do get an entire new character and hopefully enough left over for the battlepass to get cool little songs. As a silver ed I appreciate this video, there are plenty of ed guides but they all are super hard and I can't execute all the stuff they teach you. I accept I am noob
sajam is unique cuz he gives you what you actually need to PLAY a character in like 3 mins lol, there's 40min guides out there that say less in ten times the amount of time.

Lol I was struggling to climb with Ed and was thinking to myself: I think I'm trying to play too solid but i don't have the fundamentals to back it up This video is a straight shot fired at me
Holy shit I'm new and trying to learn ed (it is not going well so many jump ins I can't deal with and drive rush just isn't in my system) Weirdly well timed video. And from it I definitely need to jmk more and use that hp to light flicker combo. Also that light blitz stuff sounds good for the jabbers
This might just be a low MR Master Sim player experience but right at the start when he implied that the average Ed player is zoning at all, that shit cracked me up NGL. Most Ed players I queue into are violent as hell but I accept like 90% of that is probably just fighting Sim. Genuinely good info for Ed players though either way. The temptation to try and get Ed to Master has been high lately and I might have to get back on the grind and start incorporating the DR jab traps and doing real CH light blitz confirms. 👍
dhalsim and JP turn everyone into a rushdown character. i’m a fairly conservative player but when i play against a zoner i just start seeing red and press every button on my controller
Yeah, it’s probably at least a little bit related to you playing sim. when I’m playing against sim, round start I drive rush -> drive impact. Everyone else I play normal against, but sim turns me feral.
@@Tkt_t I got frustrated with having a character with so many missing, or simply bad tools. For example, she has one of the worst, if not the worst, drive rush. So I never really interacted with that system as much as other characters. I made it to diamond 5 with her so I would say I'm decent, but to push into master felt insurmountable for me.
@@boateye manon has very good neutral and easy anti air so you can focus more on dominating the neutral. You can get master easily trust. I dont think i did a single drive rush as cammy from rookie to master. Shes like ed and cammy just abuse your good neutral, try watching akutagawa
For akoom: fireball and anti air game, when you hit the anti air drive rush for oki with crouch mp, focus on corner carry combos like jab, jab, jab light tatsu and sweep, use crouching mk with drive rush into medium punch, crouch heavy punch and heavy tatsu. In the corner spam standing heavy punch and crouching medium punch, cancel into od adamant then you go crouch heavy, light fireball and heavy tatsu for oki (you can use standing medium kick for a tight frame kill and use throw or standing medium punch). well, sometimes I take a week long break and come back BETTER than I was
Yeah I'm actually the same way. I think I try to focus on too many things and so taking a lil break is just a nice mental reset.
Sometimes your brain just needs some time to reset and process all the info you learned in your last play session.
Same, I have a bad habit of building bad habits. Sometimes that detox is fulfilling

This is some of my favorite content. You should do a series of “keeping it real” guides like this for all the characters

It's the worst drive rush in the game. Shortest, slowest, useless
