O WOW! This is so stunning and beautiful. I have taken many screenshots from every angle lol. My dream is to have Haverstick designs to design me something like this, One day.
Great room and very insightful walk-through. I'd be curious to know which computer screen you ended up choosing and the logic behind how you drew the cable pipe lines... From the outboard racks to the Argosy and from the racks to the speakers? How did you decide what/how many to run through the ceiling? Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! The monitor is a ViewSonic VX4380-4K 43 Inch. It eats up a bit of desk space but we really enjoy it. Regarding the cable lines, we went through several mock ups and a lot of “what if” planning! Ultimately we installed the floor joists to allow for a large channel that runs the width of the room with an access hatch on each end and a larger hatch in the center under the desk. The main cable runs go under the floor from the racks to the desk. From the center spot we cut a floor channel from the front wall to the back wall. Essentially a big cross shaped channel in the floor. We can run cable pretty easily from any side of the room. For the walls/ceiling, those locations were mapped based on Atmos speaker positions. There is conduit installed in the walls and ceiling (during framing) that connects to the floor channels. So we can pull cables from the racks or the desk up into any speaker position. I’m sure I have some photos from the install, I’ll check and post a few.
Thanks for watching! We actually just replaced all the Genelec 1031a's with more Meyer HD-1s. So our whole 7.1 setup is now Meyer HD-1's. It's an older speaker (Meyer doesn't make them anymore) but they make sense to our ears. At some point, we will probably move to the ATCs, as they were the other speakers that translated best for us. (We just couldn't afford them right now!). Regarding the monitor controller, we did look at the ORIA, but it just didn't have all functionality and options we needed. The Grace m908 (with some option cards) was definitely an investment, but it checked all the boxes on our list and Grace is a company with a reputation for great gear and even better customer service.
@@DCRockRoom Awesome thats great that you got the speakers that you love :) I have Focal St range in my 9.1.6 room and love them :) But if i ever change will most likely be MUM 8 :) Enjoy and congratulation

We would love that as well! Thanks for watching!
This place is bad-ass! Gavin did a killer job with Colt Capperrune, too!
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you liked this one. Colt's turned out great as well. Appreciate the support!

@@DCRockRoom Nice 👍🏼
Random- WHERE did you get those 1/3U rack spacers! Been looking high and low for a vendor in the US!
Goals
The newer Genelec 1032C would have been the way to go for the L, R, C. Audient ORIA was the next piece of gear I was expecting to see.

If he ever change's the speakers he should try mum 8 :) Great setup
Thanks for watching! Since the video was recorded, we've updated all the positions to Meyer HD1's! They're old school but we love the way they sound!
