It was a landing pad for large extra terrestrial craft to rest on , engineered to take the weight of the craft ,the stones go below the ground just like foundations to support heavy weight and not move . It's not what you think and was not originally a sun calendar or season calendar. This calendar theory concept was thousands of years later where they added the alter stone brought all the way from Scotland long after visitors stopped coming .

WHY IS IT NOT KIND OF OBVIOUS....IF THEY WERE GROWING GRAIN IN THE FIELDS...IT WAS A MILL TO MAKE FLOUR AND A BARN MORE OR LESS AND PROBABLY A THATCHED ROOFING AND MAYBE TIMBER JOISTS...ALL ROTTED AWAY DUE TO BEING ORGANIC MATERIAL !! THE FLATS WERE THE WORKING SURFACES.....AND PERHAPS SEVERAL TYPES OF GRAIN CROPS !!! HENCE SEPARATE GRINDING SURFACES AND IMMEDIATE FRESH STORAGE.....AND PEOPLE SHOWED UP TO GET A LOAD OF GROUND MEAL/FLOUR !!!
