Hey Etho, build a hub around Wilson with useful redstone systems nearby that you can use but Wilson has control of. That way you have an insentive to keep him running and if he gets mad he'll let you know with a posion potion instead of your regeneration potion >:D

And build a creepy secret room filled with red stone for blood and a lever/button when you flick it/press it, it opens a hole in the wall with another button/lever. Once you flick it/press it it ends Wilson's life

Hey Etho, you can make the item frame selector/dropper circuit a lot simpler by using a comparator pulse extender because the pulse length is based on the incoming signal strength, so the clock will run longer when on higher settings.
That's a really good idea. I'll experiment with that for future reference.

Additionally, instead of sending firework stars directly to the "firework finisher" you can add a "fade to" set, by adding a second set of colors (and possibly shapes?) to the stars.
After several months I have finally watched all 463 Etho Plays Minecraft episodes and have enjoy most all of them. Thank you Etho for all the hard work you have put into them. They have provided me with many ideas of things to try and do on Minecraft. One idea I had was for an addition to Wilson. You could add a simple game of catch with a slime ball as an activity to interact with him. He could throw (bounce off slime blocks) the ball with randomizers to change the distance and trajectory of the ball and you would try to run around and catch it and then throw it back to his hand (hoppers maybe). The activity could raise his happiness and lower his weight. Just a thought. Keep up the good work!

man I wish I understood redstone like Etho so I could have my own projects like this going in my survival world. at the moment, it's just about building, and any redstone has been following tutorials. (although I have been trying to make them without references when I can...) it just adds a whole new layer of personal development in your world
I added this to my favourites because it really reminded me of what Etho plays Minecraft is all about: Friendly ingenuity with great ideas and a casual attitude. Etho, you rock.

Etho if you're worried about the villagers, perhaps you could put some tripwire or pressure plate system in place at the base of that staircase that either opens up a zombie trap in the floor or warns you with noteblocks if something crosses it?

I have been watching this series for a good 5 years now, I think. Or close to. It's nuts to think that this world is that old and is still going. It has this really nice home-like feeling to it. Hey Etho to protect the villagers zombies cant see carpet as real blocks and if you place down I believe 5 layers of carpet on top of each other they shouldn't walk across it.
Well I know this trick worked in previous versions of Minecraft at least.
You don't have to place five layers of carpet, a deep hole with one layer of carpet on top and a layer of string directly below should do the trick.
you dig a home 5 blocks down and use setting to put the carpet on top of so you save resources, and use some of ethos overflowing mob loot

And yes, I know the Elytra exists, but you really need to make paths where paths need to be made.
Make a path leading up to the Nexus, the pumpkin farm and the Chorus fruit farm,
To make sure the block doesn't get stuck, why don't you put ice on top of a hopper cart, so it goes fast, but it always gets picked up. You could also attach the hopper cart(s) to your chain of hoppers! I feel like nobody ever thought of this, or just avoided it. I'm not sure, but if it helps, I'm glad I could do so!

On the Minecraft wiki it says they aren't transparent.
They used to be, but not anymore, they fixed it. Oh well, it would have been pretty useful having an opaque transparent block, lol that sounds like an oxymoron but in this case its not.

For Wilson you should add red carpets on top of the red clay blocks on the floor to add more depth and hide the lamps :)

Hey Etho, I'm a huge fan of you, have been watching you since season 2 onmindcrack! Even watched before I started playing, you made me fall in love with the game and I still find all of your videos funny, unique and entertaining. Love your personality, makes me always want to watch more 😊 Keep up the good work.

When I saw ilmango's firework crafting machine in his peaceful series I thought "wow, what a neat idea, can't believe nobody's thought of this!"
Fast forward to now I realize, of course Etho's done it! There really is no redstone gadget that can't trace its lineage back to Etho, incredible.

Sadly Minecraft isn't as popular as a few years ago
Etho has never really gained subs fast, but lately it's been so slow, he's been at 1.8mill for about a year or more
to be fair he does have a lot of subscribers for the content he makes
It may sound selfish as a viewer, but I feel that Etho not growing has actually created a community and I hope he does not grow for that sake. Sometimes I'll notice people in the comments from different videos and it's nice. But lie others said, minecraft isn't the game it once was to many people including me (besides modded) and thus viewership has dropped.
He still gets 260-300k views on his vanilla single player, and 200-260k views on his modded (and around 200k on other videos), so it's not like his views have dropped.
Subscriber count isn't everything.

The only kind of firework star you're missing now is the stars that transition from one color (or set of colors) to another. You get those by making your base star, then combining it with one or more extra dyes. You can add extra layers to this as well, making some pretty cool transitions.

Hey Etho! You can save space in your circuitry by applying a comparator pulse extender directly to the item frame it will only take up a space of 6 blocks. Your videos are great and keep them that way.

RS Nor Latch, a wiring mekanism that creates two separate inputs for on/off.
Its a RS Nor Latch.
electronic circuit called a latch and it is made of "Nor gates". with two outputs. one is Set and the other is Reset, hence RS.
set means on, reset means off.

Hey Etho, you could (for Wilson) add a dropper with all sorts of different food types in it and whatever it shoots out you feed him, and could make it so that if Raw Porkchops or Raw Chicken comes out and you feed him that, then he becomes ill (just so that it doesn't seem like you're sick and twisted by trying to make him ill by feeding him trash purposefully) Keep up the Great Videos!

Hey Etho, for getting additional texture in the Wilson room, you might try just changing the orientation of the bone blocks. That would break up the line pattern and maybe make some other cool stuff.

Etho! You should build a lake in that open space that you can view from the village.
Also, you could perhaps use a 'guard' system with some Iron Golems tied to the fences around the entrance. Maybe five of them will be enough. They'd stay by the fences due to the ropes, but would be able to run up and smash a zombie to death should one ever intrude.

Hey Etho. What you need is a couple of redstone display blocks, besides stone bricks. You use the stone bricks on a normal basis. but when you build redstone close to other builds, you use the other blocks. I believe it will help you know what redstone works with what build. Keep up the awesome vids!

could set up a "jail" like cell as you walk in, so it works in aesthetically with the build but also acts as a way that the zombies wont get in
In the Wilson room, put red carpet over all of the rid lining so the lighted parts don't stick out, plus you could add more lighting and you would never tell.
