A Primer on YRTC will review the statutes governing commitment to YRTC, the type of programs provided by the YRTCs and discharge from the YRTCs. A description of the three YRTC facilities, YRTC-Kearney, YRTC-Hastings and YR TC-Lincoln and their programs will be discussed. Also discussed will be the hearings available after a youth is committed to YRTC and the required notifications hearings regarding a youth's reentry. Contact information for the DHHS/YRTC attorneys and the courts they cover will also be provided.
