  • We’re supercharging our robotics ambitions to bring advanced technology into homes. Our Dyson-designed robots are undergoing extensive testing, so we can develop robotic technology and autonomous devices capable of household chores and other tasks.
Take a peek inside our Robotics Labs and see a glimpse what we’re working on.

There should be a decent amount of options for in home robots by 2027 as the competition heats up.

I really like that the arm is moving up and down on a rail. Seems very versatile. There is really no need to make a household robot look human, it needs to get many different tasks done to be useful. And people will anthropomorphize it anyway (like the roombas). I would really like them to be affordable too, so they could make a diffrence to the families who can't afford a cleaning lady (and so get to spend more time with their kids) and elderly people (who can't do any cleaning anymore). Well I can make a wishlist, can't I 😆?!

They look like toys from the 80s. Best put some more money into it!

We could spend all this money on robotics but we couldn't figure out how to make the car cheaper?

@U Dyson created an electric car, then scrapped the program claiming it was too expensive. That is what my comment was referring to, that here they are spending millions on robotics without any sales but claiming their electric car was too expensive to produce... Know your Dyson, thanks.

@U Stop speculating. I know because I work for them. The car was something they got all of us anticipating, a lot of new jobs were going to be created, then they just dropped it while they laid off thousands of people in records profits and outsourced the best call center in the world to another country to lessen expenses during record profits??? Nothing like saying thanks to those who helped you succeed by laying them off... They can be just like any other publicly traded company at times. So hence my frustrations around this robotic program, all the things they cut, all the jobs of good hard working people they affected so a few of them could go play with robots?! And I don't need you to tell me anything about Dyson and batteries, they've been engineering batteries for over a decade already.

@U you don't know what you're talking about. Like literally.

@U You just wasted all that time trolling only to prove my original point/question. Dyson is spending millions on robotics and they couldn't take that same money and figure out how to make the car cheaper?
I told you I work for Dyson. I've watched my friends lose their jobs and my opportunities shrink while they play around in their labs like there is no budget but then cut other places during record profits and tell you they don't have enough money. What a way to say thanks to those who helped grow the business. Pff...

It's not possible to build a robot using AI, DYSON is building a Metal Human being which is impossible
