My cat would go in, change the lock and leave me stuck outside.
There was a comedian who made a joke like, "If I have a dog, I leave the house for half an hour, I come back to find him wailing and freaking out. If I have a cat, I leave for a month, he's fine, I come back and find out he's changed the locks."
Slingblade87 probably paying rent too.

Our cat could ring door bell when he came back from walk and we even didnt teach him.
Just keep cats out ofthe nuclear power stations.
lol!!!
imagine sleeping in the middle of the night and hearing 0:43 at ya bedroom door
yeah my cat does that
Every damn night
Lol my roommate has to put the lock on his door at night or the cat goes in 😂
@@cristina7543 when my door is locked my cat gets even more motivated to jump on the doorknob which gets loud as hell during the night. Little asshole haha
@@biekevin3953 hahaha. My cat does the same. I just leave the door open... I rather sleep in peace than be dealing with his shenanigans in the middle of the night.
I had a Siamese cat that could open all the doors in my 250 year old house except the exterior doors (thank god for that!) My old house has thumb latches on all the interior doors. When my cat was just a kitten I held him up to the latch, held his paw, rattled the latch until it opened, and then praised him for his good work. Well, less than 5 minutes later I heard::"rattle rattle rattle," and then the door opened. Who's hanging on the other side? Yup my Siameser! He was one one really smart guy!

My cat does this in my room, but sometimes i don't want him to leave my room so i block it with a heavy object. He still opens it tho, by pushing his face between the door and the object to separate them.
My cat taught me to always lock the door.
Wait till your cat learns to pick locks
Our cat can open it of there's a tiny crack but only sometimes. Most of the time he'll give up and come whining to us.
Imagine if a stray cat opened a door up and got into your house-
LOL my cat just opened the door and came in the house. I didn't even hear her.
My cat just started doing this with the round doorknobs. I keep my front door deadbolted so that he doesn't let himself out and never come back.
I'm glad our knobs are like that! 😬
Had a *privacy hook* lock on bedroom door. Small gap where door close. My cat hated me locking it out the room. Cat would jump on table and squeeze paw through gap and lift open hook. then come in my bed and get underneath the covers with me. Lmao. _At first it would claw away at the door and meow loudly, but then it learned to open the door_
I was takeing a dump and my cat starts meowing outside the door and then all of a sudden the doorknob shakes and my cat opens the door wtf
lmao imagine your cat did this and you didn't know it could. terrible way to lose a little guy
I have two cats one uses the knob.and the other learned from her older sister.but she isn’t as athletic she opens the doors that are locked with regular locks with her moth believe or not😂😂😂
If anything, my cats would open my door, but it's locked 24/7
11K dogs who can't open doors disliked the video...
Leave it to a cat to open a door one hundred times and never close a single one.
*I need to upgrade my security*
My cat learned how to open sliding windows as well , she knows how to unlock it then slides it 😒😂
It's a matter of time before she changes the house lock 😂😂
I have a breed cat "Scottish Fold" that can open a sliding door and he is extremely good at communicating with me. He can say exactly what he wants by acting! I also have street cats that are way dumber. They can't open the sliding door and they can't communicate clearly with me. It really varies from cat to cat.
Oh this makes sense, I got so scared when I saw my cat downstairs after I closed his room😁😁😁
I want to see the cat that closes the door afterwards.
Why, they have to go back in.
TOO CUTE and TOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!😀😄😅😊🤗😘👏👏👍👍
My cat does the same 😂 he watched us open doors and he learned it a few years ago. Then we bought regular doorknobs so my cat can’t open doors anytime😢
I had a cat who was able to open doors, she was super smart
So if it's round knob doors it would be impossible for them lol
Okay, but let’s see them use a door knob
You guys dont know how annoying this could be, when it happens at your home
My can learned that yesterday as well 😂
My cat can just pull my door open.

cats in the vid are all natural Breed rather than selective breed by human. Natural cats are more clever.
Lesson: If you have a cat, have door knobs, not handles.
I pretty sure cats can adapt to round door knobs. Trust me. I know.

How are the cats clever enough to open a door thats fully closed when my cat could never figure out how to push open a door that already slightly opened
Now i can just imagine A cat breaking into someones house
Those door handles aren’t that hard to figure out it’s the cats that Figure our standard door knobs that are really smart
My cat tried to open a round knob using both paws and batted at the lock when he couldn't turn it. I'm so angry I didn't get it on film
Is this video stolen? What's with the dislikes?
Im showing this to my cats
They're learning
love how they all meow first before they jump

My cat does that to
My son’s cat goes around opening all our doors. He lets himself into my room & I constantly have to lock my door😒
This is why cats stare at us, because they learn! Animals in general are alot smarter than people give them credit for!
Right, i honestly think they are as smart as us, but they communicate in a more complex way. But i always think that animals could speak to us, but they just dont have the vocal cords for it.
Or their like dolphins, dolphins communicate demands and other words through sounds, same with whales, what if its the same with cats and other animals and humans are too dumb to learn it.
Ruuui
@@hmm2598 they do not communicate in a more complex way lmao
@@hmm2598 humans arnt to dumb to learn it they communicate by giving social cues instead of language, they in no way speak in a more complex way instead a very primitive one.
Cats are at least
Why are there so many dislikes? The title says "cats opening doors", you got cats opening doors.
imirrawashere maybe they are jealous cuz their cats cant do that
@@josephmueller3752 No they're dumb dog people who're jealous _dogs_ can't do that. In my opinion anyone who hates cats is a psychopath, while people who hates dogs are cool
maybe 4 years ago, this channel did something that got hated so much by the viewers that's why their old videos got 30-40% dislikes with millions of views. Another theory is they bought the dislikes themselves. Yes buying views and interactions such as comment, like, dislike, share is a common thing on youtube and facebook.
They're mad at these cats' intelligence. 😆
@Jotaro97 they dont learn it as fast
I have a regular door knob on my bedroom door and my cat Ebon can open it. He's actually broken in a few times just to cuddle with me! Cats are hilarious.
Ok so I'm no alone with this happining
Mine can, too. She just walked down the stairs, opened the door, and walked on out. We were so amazed. The other morning, she was sitting at the top of the stairs looking at me and then at the open door like she was proud of herself.
mine just did that now lol
SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME BRO BEANS IT WAS WILD
My cat too. No one ever believed me.
This was like the moment in Jurassic Park when the velociraptor opened the door.
Clever girl.
I love how they all squeak when they're about to open the door...kinda like a power up
And before cameras were invented.
People thought poltergeists were opening there doors 🤔
In this case it would be "their" doors because it's possessive. The doors are being discussed as if they are possessed by someone or something.
@@Kitties_are_pretty I get that you're trying to be smart but this is only a comment section of a video of cats on RUclips. It's really unessasarry. As long as you and everyone else can understand him, you shouldn't feel the need to correct him.
@@didistutter8417 There are many valid reasons to learn to write a language well. If this person is writing like this in this context I think it's fair to assume that they genuinely don't understand which word to use, and I provided a useful suggestion. If this person is ever to write in a context where others are assessing them, whether it be academic, professional, or social, then it would advantage them if they knew how to spell. I'm helping.
@@Kitties_are_pretty You're causing more of an annoyance than helping. Just because he used the wrong "there" doesn't mean that he has a hard time understanding. There are plenty of instances where I used the wrong "your". It's not that I don't understand which one to use. Sometimes I'm not paying attention or I'm in a hurry. When I see a grammatical error or someone misspell a word, I don't automatically assume that the person is uneducated, I assume that they typed it in by accident.

I saw my grannie’s cat do this. I’m like wtf ! What’s next driving?! Lol 😂
You never know 🤣🤣
Cats have bigger cognitive brain than dogs. They are able to learn and solve complex issues. Like opening human's door.
This is why we love cats, no matter how smart your dog play fetch.
Cats have better spacial awareness for sure. Dogs can have a bigger vocabulary and cognitive skills in understanding verbal commands.
One dog has a pile of toys and knew what each toy was called. Over 70 of them. To test the dog they put a new toy in the pile, one that he hadn’t memorized the name for.
The dog was able to discern that the toy the owner was asking for, was the toy he did not know the name too.

Cats are way more intelligent than what I used to think.
true
My boy Merlin does this all the time. Mainly food cabinets. It's becoming an issue. I respect his intelligence, but...damn. He also hides in the cabinet above the fridge. He waits for me to come by, and pops his head out. "Bitch, what you getting? Share."
i dont have handles, its just a knob yet they still got in the bathroom while i was pooping, theyve been doing it alot recently. (i dont lock it because flaw in the design, it has a lock on the outside, my room too)

"Dios mio. They open doors."
My cat understands the principle of opening a door he jumps up at the handle but doesn't have the weight/strength to pull the handle down. It's very funny watching him try
My kittens gonna learn how 2 open doors soon she constantly jumps up and pulls on the handle
Edit: well she learnt like a week after this comment. She can open every door in our house, even the really stiff one that u like have to put full body weight on to open. Thanks to that, every door in house now has locks. She can also open cupboards now. Even the 1 on the fish tank that doesn’t have a handle. She’s now a year old and we got another kitten who she’s probably gonna teach. 🤦♀️
Once one cat learned to open the doors regularly our 7 others were too lazy to copy they depend on Cooper to be the Doorman. He was the youngest, btw. Let us now if the kitten learned (without absolutely necessity) being young she might be more likely than older lazy cats.
@@robertgillis2697 yeah thankfully the kitten didn’t learn. But older one can still open everything, can also click buttons and open draws with no handles now. 🤣
@@robertgillis2697 idk if its lazyness they just are dumber
Makes you wonder how many “lost pet” posts are the result of a cat opening the door
My cat can open the sliding screen door but if anyone's around, he acts like he can't and looks at you pitifully
If he's outside and something's scary he can open that door and all you hear is WHOOSH and then you see him running inside
My daughter's cat used to watch how we opened up cabinets, then he'd do it when no one was around. It would freak us out until we realized what the little stinker was doing, lol. He was trying to spook us, I guess :-D
A friend of mine put "child proof" cabinet locks on to keep to the cat out of the cat food. That lasted for less than a day. The locks were child proof but not cat proof.
@@davidhenderson3400 tbh the child proof are not even child proof
My cat just learned how to do this! They are evolving 👀
Yes this is cute at first but after a while it becomes very annoying!! 😫😫 imagine being asleep peacefully then hearing a noise exactly like 0:45 in the middle of the night! I would feel like im having a mini heart attack because i would jump out of my sleep every time. Thought I would get use to it by now but I haven’t.. 2 yrs later..
But i still love him tho 🖤🐱 :’)
To be honest. Sounds like a gunshot to me ...

@Ayylmao I am sure most of us haven't heard a gunshot ever in their life ...

First my cat learned how to use the door knob and now he is trying to unlock the keys. It is a good thing that he cannot rotate the keys with his pawns
My cat uses this powerful skill to break into my house-mate's room in the morning lol
Cats are very intelligent. They just get a bad name for themselves because they are also lazy and don’t care about things a lot of times.
I use to have a cat that knew how to open doors. It's trippy because the door knob was round.

My cat knows how to open doors so when ever I’m in a room and the door is closed she always has to open it 😤
Our cat jumps at the handle CONSTANTLY when we're watching TV. I don't think she really knows how to open the door, or doesn't have the strength to do so, but I think she has just learned that if she rattles the handle and annoys us enough, we will open the door for her. Sometimes though she does actually manage to open the door, but I think that's more luck than anything because she doesn't do it consistently.
