I am the same way even tho I live by alot of E85 stations I dont wanna be on a strict E map setting plus here in Pennsylvania it gets cold and I dont wanna deal with E85 and the cold. The subaru guys got it made all they gotta do is turn a dial for different maps.
Hey Dustin so I’ve been running e85 on my fbo bk2 3.8 for a solid year now. I’m always encountering problems it’s mad annoying. First time I switched to e85 my low pressure died, then my HPFP died then my injectors got clogged. All within the first month of me on e85. For a solid two months the car was misfiring in WOT. Replaced everything now it’s slowly starting to come back... I now have a Walbro 450 in the tank and I feel that the issue is either the HPFP or the injectors keep getting clogged. Any solution to this?
Car drives really hesitant and I feel that it misfires when I’m driving and it’s not warmed up yet. Sparkplugs and coils are roughly new... about 10k miles on them
5-10whp top end. 10-15whp through midrange, less chance of knock, cooler engine temps, possibly higher redline than the 7200 set after a 93 custom tune.
E85 doesn't have the lubrication properties that normal gasoline does. The pumps rely on the gasoline for lubrication, so after some period of time (could be sooner could be later) the pump will over heat and die or lock up. An E85 compatible pump doesn't have that issue.

Thats the BK1 3.8, so yes you will need injectors. We have a set of modified OEM injectors that work great.
