Trying to decide between supercharging and turbo . Plan on doing it around summer of next year. Just wanna take all the precautions and have the proper motor mods
would recommend against supercharging as it puts extra strain on to the rotating assembly by attaching a belt to it. turbo kits will put less strain on the engine physically and make better power as well vs. supercharging on the bk platforms
I wouldn't go for a supercharger you'll need more psi for less whp. So you're pretty much paying more to ruin your car quicker and not get the numbers you want.
There are actually many videos of twin turbo 3.8. If you search for 700whp o 600whp twin turbo Korean drift videos. SeoulFRacing has a twin turbo 3.8. Then there is Justin in Hawaii with his blue Genesis Coupe that he had built to 4.0L. His car is twin turbo, but I don't know the numbers. Unfortunately, Cjay Sabino finally blew his Remnant Performance turbo kit 3.8 engine last month after 7,200 miles. It is pointless trying to reach high horsepower on the 3.8 without a fully built engine. Justin told me it costed him over $20,000 for Mt Motorsports and Travis to forge it into 4..0L.
@@jayjunior2023Hyundai put in weak pistons and rods for cost savings. Any significant bump in power you need forged internals. You can supposedly run 3-4 psi safel all day long on a stock block tho. This would still give you 75ish more horsepower and running methanol injection would further give you some safe breathing room. IMHO the motors like the 350z it's a glass cannon that breaks easy.

Honestly if you don’t wanna spend $1600-2000 for the Ark then 100% do a custom catback with helmholtz resonators. Do dual 2.5” pipe with regular resonators then have an X pipe cross over that feeds to your preferred muffler (blackwidow has some nice options) to 4” dual exhaust tips. For making the helmholtz resonators it’s actually way easier than it seems. Just some plug and play algebra for matching chamber dimensions to the specific frequency you want to cancel. You’ll save a chunk of money and it’ll still sound great. Plus it’s super sick to say your setup is completely custom lol Cause I have the ark and it’s good but it’s not worth the amount you pay. Realistically any catback will give roughly the same power gains plus It’s a bit on the quiet side so there’s that. I did the H pipe for my secondary cat delete and it’s still not as loud as I want, but that’s all subjective. Though I will say drone is nonexistent which is very nice. Even when I had on my OBX headers the drone wasn’t bad at all, especially impressive considering it was completely catless.
I am in far North Dallas area. Someone told me to contact Juan Pale for Alpha Speed tunes in this area. I did talk to him on FB and he gave me the information back in 2020 or 2021 when I was researching all of this. I am not sure what part of Texas you are near though. I think there is an actual shop closer to Central Texas. This is the problem living here. Everything is so spread out.
Is there a video for various ways to run the meth into the intake/manifold? through a throttle body spacer or I heard of someone taping the sprayer into the manifold itself.
Single nozzle is recommended to be placed before the throttle body. If you are doing multi port then you can tap your intake manifold runners and run them per cylinder
Yes, it is bad. Cjay Sabino finally blew his Remnant Performance 3.8 after 7,200 miles. He uploaded a new video two weeks ago explaining what happened. Someone near my area posted a sale for a 2014 Genesis Coupe 2.0T around the same time. If I was not still stuck with my parents, I would trade my 3.8 for it right now. It has less mileage than my 3.8. It is at 63,000 or 68,000 miles. It is automatic and it looks like it is in good condition, but I would have to see it in person. It is not too far from me. It is the same color as my car and it has the upgraded premium package with the gps screen. Another guy with a channel called "BS Racing Channel" uploaded a new video of his LS swapped Genesis Coupe a day after Cjay's video. The car caught on fire and it is finished. He recorded it on fire. No more Genesis Coupe for him. I may as well save up and sell it in the future. I am really thinking about saving up and going for a new Supra or 2023 Nissan Z. I don't know if it would be cheaper to save up and trade for one of those, or put money into a built engine for a Genesis Coupe, which has very limited aftermarket options. I like the Genesis Coupe. I simply wish it was capable of what the new cars can do with all the torque and horsepower. The Genesis Coupe was developed a decade too early.

If you are skilled at doing so, definitely an option. however, we have seen some custom exhaust jobs flow inadequately at times. the one we recommend on here has been tested on many different cars and is something we know for it to work well

is there a twin turbo kit for the Hyundai genesis coupe 3.8
None stateside and none that are reliable or worth the trouble. 3.8s have nearly no lag with the single setup that the twin setups are pointless

Low boost settings run great. People blow engines when they get greedy for more power
Nitrous is all about user error and settings. As long as its used with caution and reasonable amount of shot it will be fine
