- This custom Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter opened in 2011 and is the third one built in the USA following the highly successful Mystery Mine at Dollywood and SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge at Nickelodeon Universe. It stands 95 feet (29m) tall with a top speed of 52 mph (83.6 km/h) and features a vertical lift hill as well as three inversions: a Dive Loop, Immelmann and Heartline Roll.

@@maincoasters universal has NOTHING on this. This is peak theming. You can feel the energy of this ride as soon as you walk in the park. That’s serious theming.
That mid course break was brutal. It crawled around the second half.
Honestly, it’s better that way because the second half doesn’t really have any elements other than that final inversion
So quiet and so smooth! The barrel roll near the end is the best!

This roller coaster is terrifying. It’s always going to put me out of the sky to fly in the air like an astronaut.😂😂😂😂
I got on this as a 10 year old and I didn’t scream or close my eyes during the whole ride so that stopped my fear of roller coasters this ride literally turned me into a dare devil
@StormVesselnah I just kept calm the whole ride
The only part that has me nervous about riding this is just the lift hill because of the feeling of falling backwards despite not actually falling because high seat back holding you up as you ascend. The worst part of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit for me it that vertical lift hill so I'm sure I'll enjoy Daredevil Dive as well past the lift hill. Having Acrophobia sure hits different on rollercoasters I swear.

With SFOG being my home park I can affirm that DDD is probably the weakest in what is a relatively solid lineup otherwise.

Crazy this opened 2 months before the superman the ride death which ended Six Flags and Gerstlauers relationship. I wonder how many infinitys/eurofighters would have ended up at six flags park had that not happened.
Huh? SF worked with Gerstlauer in 2013 for Iron Rattler's trains.

Looks good still, but did they turn the midcourse up? I don’t remember it being so slow in the second half.
I know! I have ridden it 3 times and it’s never been this slow.
Basically it's Anubis @ Plopsaland, but without the launch (so, without the fun lol).

Why the mid course brakes? Seems like a gigantic pacing issue unless multiple trains are running at a time.
You just answered your question. Mid course brake runs are used to operate multiple trains. Without it, they wouldn't be able to dispatch the second train until the first train hits the brake run at the end of the ride.
That break run was ouch!
I just rode the Daredevil today and that mid-course and second half were nowhere near as slow as what the video showed

Six Flags probably isn’t ever going to work with Gerstlauer again, because of the New Texas Giant accident.
The New Texas Giant was by RMC and the trains were from Gerstlaurer!
Rather lame ride for a coaster named Dare Devil Dive.
Its just slow on this video
