@@maincoasters universal has NOTHING on this. This is peak theming. You can feel the energy of this ride as soon as you walk in the park. That’s serious theming.
I got on this as a 10 year old and I didn’t scream or close my eyes during the whole ride so that stopped my fear of roller coasters this ride literally turned me into a dare devil
The only part that has me nervous about riding this is just the lift hill because of the feeling of falling backwards despite not actually falling because high seat back holding you up as you ascend. The worst part of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit for me it that vertical lift hill so I'm sure I'll enjoy Daredevil Dive as well past the lift hill. Having Acrophobia sure hits different on rollercoasters I swear.
You just answered your question. Mid course brake runs are used to operate multiple trains. Without it, they wouldn't be able to dispatch the second train until the first train hits the brake run at the end of the ride.
Crazy this opened 2 months before the superman the ride death which ended Six Flags and Gerstlauers relationship. I wonder how many infinitys/eurofighters would have ended up at six flags park had that not happened.
A ride through a gravel pit and a shed. SFoG has outdone themselves.
don’t forget the mid course that literally ruined the ride 😂
Yeah the theming on this one is immense.
☠️
universal level 😍😍

So quiet and so smooth! The barrel roll near the end is the best!
Yeah the barrel roll is great
The barrel roll is my favorite part
That mid course break was brutal. It crawled around the second half.
Honestly, it’s better that way because the second half doesn’t really have any elements other than that final inversion
@@jrax1713 yeah so surely it would be better to take the banked turns quicker rather than slower
That initial drop looks crazy!!! 😂😂😂
It’s not, it’s hard to see on POV’s but it’s heavily trimmed at the top
It is
It’s ok best part of the ride is that ending inversion though
@@jrax1713does the drop take your stomach?
@@chihirofujisaki6479not much, there are a lot of trims at the top, so you din't really get the stomach feeling
Fun ride for the first half, ultra smooth, but that last inversion is uncomfortably slow.

@StormVesselnah I just kept calm the whole ride
The thing that really surprised me about this ride is the transition from the incredibly loud chain lift to complete silence after it.
This roller coaster is terrifying. It’s always going to put me out of the sky to fly in the air like an astronaut.😂😂😂😂

trust me, it feels weird but its not scary at all
Probably not an uncommon feeling
With SFOG being my home park I can affirm that DDD is probably the weakest in what is a relatively solid lineup otherwise.
Blue hawk and GASM look much worse
Great POV. It's running extremely slow though
Why the mid course brakes? Seems like a gigantic pacing issue unless multiple trains are running at a time.

Huh? SF worked with Gerstlauer in 2013 for Iron Rattler's trains.
superman the ride is intamin tho??!
it was the New Texas Giant incident in 2013 that ended Six Flags and Gerstlauer's relationship
@@maincoasters gerstlauer trains
Basically it's Anubis @ Plopsaland, but without the launch (so, without the fun lol).
this one got lap bars though 😎
And without the setting !
I just rode the Daredevil today and that mid-course and second half were nowhere near as slow as what the video showed
Looks good still, but did they turn the midcourse up? I don’t remember it being so slow in the second half.
I know! I have ridden it 3 times and it’s never been this slow.
Always found this coaster kinda cool.
I love this ride.
This still remains the only Geurslauer Euro-Fighter Six Flags has ever built in the chain even if there is another one at Darien Lake
The ride itself isn’t scary the scariest part is when you are going up at night….
Fun fact: this ride is a near clone of Anubis at plopsaland, except it has a lift hill instead of a launch
When you are top of the hill, you accept that the doom is coming
That break run was ouch!
Went on it today not as bad as I thought
Just rode that today
Why is it so slow in this. It’s always been faster than this when Ive ridden it.
Everything’s always slower in recordings
Still waiting for another Gerstlauer roller coaster at Six Flags
Six Flags probably isn’t ever going to work with Gerstlauer again, because of the New Texas Giant accident.
The New Texas Giant was by RMC and the trains were from Gerstlaurer!
We got stuck on this lol
Whisper quiet!
I the only good part is the had time you get on that barrel roll.. that’s about it..
Dude just rode this
This is the slowest I’ve seen it run. What gives?
Ikr! I swear it’s always been faster than this.
Comment
Rather lame ride for a coaster named Dare Devil Dive.
Its just slow on this video
I love this coaster but the operations here are intolerable
