The AMA needs to make this displacement legal in the 450 class. And by that I mean 2 stroke displacement, the rules state you can only have a max of 250cc 2 stroke engine displacement in the 450 class.
So technically the expansion chamber of the 2T engine supercharges the engine at high rpm. The “hit” of a 2T engine is actually sound waves that compress a high volume of air/fuel into the cylinder. I’ve heard a 125cc actually packs in 188cc’s at the power and point.
When I saw that silencer I was expecting a tinny pc sound but mixed with those extra 50cc's gives her some real meat sounds unbelievable. Perfect bike.

The fucking Limiter on the 2 Bang!! 🤟. Not only that the TBI, Less Vibration, and a good in between of a 250 and 450 power to pull and power to no pull you off. But willing to the bike will rip. I was thinking about getting a YZ but this has changed my mind that wait is going to be so long 😭
i'd say if that bike would clear it he wouldve went for it. Looked to me like the rider is no slouch...makes me think he knew there wasnt enough motor. 2ts are for rock gardens, 4ts are for jumping over em lol

I already ride a 150SX 2018 for 4 years, and I already order a 300SX 😍😍 it brings me back to my early MX days, 90's... alm of our, the Two strokers people, are happy. The only thing curious is the 8-10 kg plus weigh increase. Close to 100kg instead of 90-92kg of a carburetor KTM 2 stroke similar bike
3:38 min mark: Guy on the 4stroke looks back and see him coming then cuts across the track to get out of the way.. Drive’s me bonkers because of how dangerous he made himself. Just hold your line always on the track and the better rider will make his way around you instead of creating a hazard like cutting Across the track to get out of the way of someone that will ride around you. Tsk tsk
The turn before is also WAY closer to the take off then back in the day. Jump is huge even with a long run at it but its insane out of a tight turn like it’s set up now. If the national is set up with the turn that close I bet only the top 10-15 guy on 450s do it and maybe only 1-2 guy on 250s even try it and won’t be able to do it consistently. Videos do the jump zero justice. It’s a absolutely sender!!
Been saying for years everywhere that allowing 300cc 2 stroke would make it easier and cheaper for privateers to build competitive bikes for the 450 class

Nothing new from KTM. The electric moto bikes are a benefit for the consumer- not as much for the manufacturer . Driving my Tesla model 3 for 4 years- just replaced the tires and cabin filter, plug it in every couple days at home. Handling and power superior to ice , no maintenance.
The ama should change those rules now that we know 4strokes have the advantage. This bike should be able to run in the 250 class and 500s in the450 class

@@human1513 I remember reading in a dirt bike magazine that there 500 was faster they said the 700 rev to slow . I think at the time they also made a 600. This was the older Design they sold to ATK Not sure if the ones are the same bike.
Very cool, I like it, still no match for a 450. Niche bike at best, not sure what KTM was thinking here. This coming from an old man that rides a KTM 2t woods bike. A 2t will NEVER be on par with a modern 450 on an MX track when the riders are of equal skill level. Jeremy McGrath on his KX500 will lose to Kevin Windham on his CRF450 every time. However, a 450 will never win a W.E.S.S. hard enduro event. * (unless Billy Bolt #BB57 switches to a 450) LOL
@@orijinalgamesta9738 The AMA and Feld should allow at least a 350 to 400cc. 2-stroke to race MX & SX against the 450 4-strokes, at least for us fans to enjoy better racing and I recall in 1998 til 2004 when the 250 2-strokes was racing and a lot of times beating the 400 & 426cc. Yamaha 4 strokes. Also whether a 350 to 400cc. or even a 450cc. 2-stroke could win against the 4-stroke 450's or not it would still make the sport a lot more interesting plus 2-strokes are great at getting hole shots more so than the 4-strokes.
I think the pro class should be an open class, run what you brung. None of the pros are running production bikes. The ones who did in the past lost. Except Shane Watts. I’m just saying. Oh yes and should have to run pump fuel ⛽️ and not from that one gas station near every town that sell 110 octane turbo blue…ugh

CCs don’t mean much guys can build 250s to have a ton of power 500s already start high and they are still not competitive. It’s about the way the power gets to the ground not the amount of it there is a reason we were all happy to switch back in the late 90s

The Leap is not the same as it was in Iron Mikes day.

No New sound for me. I've owned two KTM 300's since 05'. Even rode my 01' CR250R out of Gorman a few months ago, "Green Sticker " bike.
Problem is four-strokers' race ruts prevail when two-strokers' race different lines.

Watching a pro ride a bike does nothing for the consumer choosing what bike to buy.
